When experiencing the newly added "Survival" difficulty mode, players have to play under more perilous circumstances with no fast travel or Survival Vision. Indicators and maps will be removed to amp up an even tensed in-game atmosphere.

Many gameplay features of Days Gone will be part of these challenges including a new Bike, Combat and "Freakers" horde. Survival Difficulty and challenges would eventually rewards players with bike skins, items and new trophies.
