Players would enter in procedurally generated maps set in 1895 swamps of Louisiana and either play solo or team of two or three. You will be given clues to track down enemies and taking them down will earn you cash, traits, weapons and XP.

Since gameplay mechanics of Hunt is comprised of both PvP and PvE elements, you are always in a tensed situation. Completing a bounty will immediately make you an even bigger target for every remaining Hunter on the map.

Even before it entered Xbox Game Preview, developers heavily depended on community feedback to improve experience. For instance, there was only scope for two people to party up and teams of three were added on request.

Despite a couple of delays and setbacks, FPS survival horror Hunt: Showdown is finally out for PC and Xbox One platforms. Crytek is also planning to launch a PlayStation 4 version later in fall 2019 and will reveal a release date soon.
