Latest Pokémon Direct livestream from Nintendo unveils some exciting news and updates for Pokémon fans.
Earlier this month, a leaked image of product listings from GameStop featuring upcoming Nintendo Switch games has led fans to believe that a Nintendo Direct video showcase is imminent, which turns out to be slightly true after all.
Shortly after this rumor starts flying around, Nintendo has officially confirmed that a new Pokémon Direct livestream is all set for January 9, 6:30 AM PT/9:30 AM EDT with some exciting new details on Pokémon franchise of games.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX | Demo
Two classic Pokémon games of 2006 from Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS are finally coming to Nintendo Switch after over a decade. Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team are both being newly remade into one single title.
Although no extension of roster is offered, it will receive stunning new visuals as well as Mega Evolutions. Re-branded for a new generation of console, Rescue Team DX is scheduled to launch on March 6, 2020.

Marked as most recent entry in Mystery Dungeon series since 2015, this remake title is scheduled to launch on March 6, 2020 and publisher Pokemon Company has already dropped a playable demo for this remake at Nintendo eShop.
No Pokémon from Galar region, nor any Dynamax or Gigantamax abilities are featured in its logo or promotional trailer. Rescue Team DX will be sending players off to compete with Pokémon rivals into random dungeons to fulfill missions.

Pokémon Home | Nintendo Switch
Announced back in May 2019, Pokémon Home is a cloud-based storage system that would work with games like Pokémon Go, Pokémon: Let's Go! and Pokémon Sword/Shield, enabling players to store and transfer their Pokémon.
Nintendo is planning to make Pokémon Home their primary storage solution in future as a modern-day successor to Pokémon Bank app. It will let players trade between their friends either locally or anywhere in world via online.

Aside from running on Switch systems, now people will also be able to access the app from Android and iOS mobile devices unlike Pokémon Bank system for 3DS platform that in past used to limit features to its own consoles only.
However, you cannot transfer your Pokémon to deposit or withdraw them for any older titles of the franchise. Set to arrive in February 2020, people are only allowed to transfer Pokémon into Sword and Shield through this cloud service.

There was no release announcement on recent livestream other than Rescue Team DX and major parts of today's video showcase were largely focused on in-depth details of newly revealed Sword and Shield expansions.
Though many thought there will be a lot of discussion regarding Pokémon Home, it somewhat got a reference at the end of Pokémon Direct. Hopefully, Nintendo will let players know more about this storage solution ahead of its launch.
