New Silent Hill Game Reportedly in Works at Kojima Productions

For a year or so, there have been no shortages of rumors regarding a new Silent Hill game after every few months, often tying with Japanese developer/publisher Konami or Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima and some other parties.

A new report has emerged recently, that claims that Sony Interactive Entertainment has taken some serious interest in a new Silent Hill game developed by Kojima Productions and decides to fund it, which could be a PlayStation-exclusive.

According to Gematsu, a Silent Hill game is currently in development at a "prominent" Japanese developer. They also added that an anonymous publishing source has reportedly mentioned of Kojima Productions to be that studio in Japan.

Earlier, there were reports of Konami secretly developing new series entries and remake of fan-favorite series like Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill by multiple industry insiders, for a full franchise revival on modern-day console.

Among other things, Konami has several ongoing Silent Hill games planned and one of them is allegedly being handled by Polish developer Bloober Team and such speculation came to light when they officially announced a partnership.

Original news author and VGC reporter Andy Robinson has clarified about not hearing anything regarding involvement of Kojima Productions but also stated of not having any doubt over info revealed by journalist Sal Romano of Gematsu.
