Nintendo reveals unreleased gameplay footage for Bayonetta 3 today and introduces a new character, coming in October 2022.

Bayonetta 3 Gameplay and Release Date Revealed

Despite being marked for 2022 release, upcoming Nintendo Switch-exclusive action-adventure hack and slash game Bayonetta 3 by developer Platinum Games and publisher Nintendo was in a lengthy hiatus since its announcement in 2017.

A day after being rated by Entertainment Software Rating Board for mature audience, Nintendo releases a brand-new gameplay trailer and confirms releasing Bayonetta 3 on October 28, 2022, exclusively for Switch handheld console systems.

Other than Bayonetta herself, a sword-wielding witch apprentice named Viola also joins as new playable character. Moreover, fan-favorites like Enzo, Jeanne, Luka and Rodin makes their long- anticipated comeback to franchise later this year.

Platinum Games added a "Naive Angel Mode" that prevents Bayonetta from losing her clothes as she performs certain moves. This will allow more people, including youngsters to have a fun experience enjoying it in their family living room.

Bayonetta 3: Trinity Masquerade Edition will be available at My Nintendo Store for £79.99 only, which includes 200-page art-book and more. Nintendo will also be launching original Bayonetta in physical, standalone version on September 30.
