Back in time for the holiday season, Epic Games kick-started 15 days of free games promotional campaign on their digital distribution outlet Epic Games Store and launches annual Holiday Sale for users on PC platform to celebrate Christmas.
Epic Store will giveaway free copies of 2014 action-adventure first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order from developer MachineGames and publisher Bethesda Softworks to claim for a limited time within 24 hours and own it forever.
A returning freebie from earlier this year, Wolfenstein: The New Order is set in an alternate era of history where Nazis won World War II. As they are ruling entire world, series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz makes a heroic return to resist Nazis.
Players join a small resistance group to break into heavily guarded facilities and take over their super-weapons. New Order campaign story will progress through chapters and morality choice in prologue can lead in-game storyline direction.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is possibly first major title on EGS annual giveaway program after a number of mid-tier and repeat freebies. Given their past history, Epic Store is likely to announce their biggest ones nearing end of this campaign.
Epic Games Store already offered titles like Bloons TD 6, Costume Quest 2, Horizon Chase Turbo and few more during ongoing sales event. Wolfenstein: The New Order will also get replaced by another new mystery game tomorrow for users.
