Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Multiple Endings

Cyberpunk 2077 quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirms to feature multiple endings for the game.

Following recent appearance at Xbox E3 2019 press conference event, official release date for upcoming highly anticipated role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is revealed to be 16 April, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

It is also confirmed by quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz in a recent interview with YouTuber YongYea that developer/publisher CD Projekt Red will be adding multiple endings for their ambitious story-driven RPG, all depending on player choice.

According to Tomaszkiewicz, there is more than one way to end the story for your character based on what path a player would choose during their campaign but he also didn't say that how many ending scenarios they are planning to go for.

For instance, V can opt out from using any cybernetic augmentations or even refrain from killing literally anyone. Exploring in futuristic megalopolis Night City will open up many pleasant or messy situations to you but how you handle it is up to you.

Specialized in RPG development, CDPR has included three major endings for their The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt title of 2015. Following a branching narrative, it offered several other minor endings driven by in-game decisions made by player.

Given how they are aiming to go big with their next project, sci-fi adventure Cyberpunk 2077 may came out offering more endings than you expected. CDPR is strongly considering a Photo Mode but there is no official confirmation on that just yet.

Despite being at crosshairs with media for their apparent portrayal of race and gender, CD Projekt Red has won E3 2019 with a surprise reveal of actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) playing a main character named Johnny Silverhand.

Other than major console platforms like PS4 and Xbox One, PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available at Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam. A collector's edition is currently up for pre-order that is worth $249.99 featuring digital and physical items.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War E3 2019 Reveal

Sniper Elite developer studio Rebellion brings back army of Nazis zombies in Zombie Army: Dead War 4.

When a survival horror spin-off for third-person tactical shooter title Sniper Elite V2 from developer/publisher Rebellion Developments came out as Zombie Army Trilogy in 2015, it managed to garner a unique fan-base.

Those who were really hoping to get a follow-up sequel game can now cheer up since Zombie Army 4: Dead War has been announced lately at PC Gaming Show 2019 and though no official release date is revealed yet, it is coming in 2020.

One of them were wielding a flamethrower until Karl blew it up and handing it over to his fellow fighters to make use of. When a small pack tries to flank him, one got electrocuted before blowing up and others got a few shots to their heads.

Aside from Fairburne himself, other three new members are probably newest recruit of Survivor Brigade. Clue from trailer also suggests that players would be using a variety of weapons other than sniper rifles and X-Ray Kill Cam returns as well.

Shenmue 3 Epic Store Exclusivity Creates Kickstarter Controversy

After Shenmue III has been announced as Epic Games Store exclusive for PC, backers are now even denied refunds on Kickstarter.

At E3 2019 event, renowned Sega developer and Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki took stage during PC Gaming Show 2019 to showoff brand-new gameplay trailer for Shenmue III and reveal that PC version will be an Epic Games Store-exclusive.

Now whether or not they decided to make it a timed exclusive is not clear yet but many backers are very upset over this decision of shifting platform since it was originally planned for a Steam release and are already asking for a refund.

RELATED: Shenmue 3 Delayed to November 2019

Right after their announcement at E3, development team has updated their Kickstarter page with new information to declare Epic Store exclusivity. What they explained as reason for their recent decision of changing outlet is given below.

We are happy to announce that Shenmue III for PC will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Development for Shenmue III has been moving forward using Unreal Engine and the support we have received from Epic has been excellent. But most importantly, in looking for the most enjoyable experience on PC, it was decided together with Deep Silver after much discussion that the Epic Games Store would be the best distribution platform option.

RELATED: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Coming to PC

Apparently, it was publisher Deep Silver that pushed for Shenmue III exclusivity and their official statement of most enjoyable experience on PC being on EGS clearly shows how detached they are from players these days.

When they removed Metro Exodus from Steam earlier before launch to make it a timed exclusive at Epic Store, fans were enraged. They started review-bombing to plummet its overall score, which then took Steam to intervene and stop them.

RELATED: Metro Exodus Will Be on Epic Games Store, Leaving Steam

Official Kickstarter page of Ys Net is flooded with angry response from fans seeking either an explanation or their money back. Some pointed out that it was mentioned in early phase of campaign that they are to provide Steam keys for PC platform.

Even those who would purchase a physical copy would only have a box with a code in it that still need to be activated via Epic Store. Charging a $59.99 amount for a box that doesn't even come with a disc seems like a scheme to get some extra money.

RELATED: Judgment Will Still See Western Release

After Yu Suzuki launched the Kickstarter project looking for $2 million in funding back in 2015, it has been backed by nearly 70,000 people and raised over $6 million in a month, only so they can screw over players on PC four years later.

When you thought Epic Store exclusivity was the worst thing to happen to the game, Ys Net has denied granting any refunds for making this change, therefore leaving PC players with no option to either get their hard-earned money or preferred platform.

RELATED: Yakuza Kiwami Comes to Steam

Epic Games are definitely favoring developers by taking only 12% cut from sales rather than 30% and started a trend for exclusive games to incite competition but that is also leading studios into taking such controversial decisions.

A few months ago, Epic Games Store has bagged crowdfunded project Phoenix Point out of nowhere that was originally promised to launch on Steam but in that case, developers were generous enough to offer a refund to its backers at least.

RELATED: Catherine Classic on PC Out Now

Denying request for refund was perhaps the most anti-consumer act from their part and maybe even led to some legal action, because ripping off people for their money with false pledges like this need some serious consequence enforced by law.

What happened as a result will now have people to be more suspicious before crowdfunding any project on Kickstarter. There is currently a Steam page for the game though but that is probably because they forgot to remove it.

RELATED: Shenmue and Shenmue 2 Re-Release Date

Epic may have given a hefty amount to Deep Silver and Ys Net for a store exclusivity deal like they did with Snapshot Games for having Phoenix Point. However, they should have considered how it would ruin reputation for both companies.

After years of development and a couple of delays, Shenmue III is finally all set to arrive on November 19 for PC and PlayStation 4. Only if they have kept promise of delivering Steam keys to backers, there would probably be a little less backlash.

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date

CD Projekt Red releases new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer at E3 2019 featuring Keanu Reeves and a release date set for 2020.

There is no doubt that upcoming role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most-anticipated game that players are eagerly looking to get their hands on as soon as it comes to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

This year, developer/publisher CD Projekt Red came to E3 2019 with a brand-new trailer and a release date that received a grand reveal by none other than actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) himself came to stage to present it.

As usual, player character V arrives on a crime-ridden area of Night City megalopolis for a payday after finishing a job. His contractor asks if he got what he asked for and upon confirmation, tells him to go to washroom to wash off.

While washing off blood from his hands, V recounts how he went on a big-time job earlier with Jackie Welles to get insane rich and though they somehow got the job done, his friend caught up in ensuing shootout from rival gang.

RELATED: Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Reveal

As soon as he got out, V is slammed with the door and he tries to retaliate with pointy extension of his augmented arms to no avail. His fixer, Dexter DeShawn is mad at him that they caused too much chaos and they all draw their gun on each other.

He discovers himself in a junkyard outside of megacity and is rebooted by a stranger with a likeness of John Wick star. He invites V by saying "Wake the fuck up, samurai. We have a city to burn", which is a nod to the name printed on the collar of his jacket.

Reeves's role here is obviously of a non-playable character but he is not just a random nobody here. He is playing Johnny Silverhand, an iconic character created by Mike Pondsmith for original Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop game.

You can even see him having a shiny cybernetic silver arm when he removes his shades but this is quite different than his actual look. Bringing Silverhand into the mix is an attempt from CD Projekt Red to connect the game to its lore.

Borderlands 3 and Vampire: Bloodlines 2 Pulled from Epic Mega Sale

Following huge price off announcement in Epic Mega Sale, Borderlands 3 and Vampire: Bloodlines 2 is pulled from Epic Store.

Ahead of annual Summer Sale of rival distribution platform Steam, Epic Games Store launched "Epic Mega Sale" that offered customers some pretty sweet discount deals and a generous $10 cash back on purchase worth $14.99 or above.

However, it appears that some publishers were not willing to be as generous with their games as Epic Games and therefore pulled off titles like Borderlands 3 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from first major sale of Epic Store.

RELATED: Epic Mega Sale 2019

Publishers often give a hefty 75-80% discount offer over select titles on various occasions but what Epic Store did to compete with Steam was not okay with some studios and they were not even notified on what final sale prices would be.

When this drastic move didn't sit well with fellow publishers, they pulled out games like Borderlands 3, Oxygen Not Included and Vampire: Bloodlines 2 simply because their mega sale was diminishing values of these games prior release.

RELATED: Fortnite X John Wick: Wick's Bounty Limited Time Mode

This unwanted debacle between distribution platform and AAA-publishers could have been avoided easily if Epic Games Store actually communicated with their partners before announcing the mega sale and didn't rush out things.

However, games bought during sales would still be honored at bought price even though some of them are currently removed from storefront. That includes highly anticipated upcoming titles from Gearbox Software and Paradox Interactive.

RELATED: Epic Games Acquires Psyonix

Another title to create some stir during this sales period is Early Access action role-playing game Hades from developer Supergiant Games, which used to sale for just $10.99 and comes at only $6.99 after applying a 65% discounted rate.

Upon launch of Epic Mega Sale, this rogue-like dungeon crawler saw a rise in price cap that ended up being $24.99 and only came down to $14.99 following price off, so that it wouldn't be affected by newly reduced rate at all but players are not happy with such shady approach.

RELATED: Hades: The Beefy Update Live Now

When fans took issues with a sudden change in pricing, Supergiant issued an apology on their official Blog and Discord channel for communicating poorly about their plans but it comes very suspicious why they would do it when the sale went live.

They also cleared out that players can get the game for $10 off by participating in ongoing offer that will end on June 13. From June 14, Hades would be available on $24.99 price since they updated it with so many new characters, events and features.

RELATED: World War Z Season One DLC Roadmap

Although claimed that they do not want to follow business model of Valve's Steam, Epic Games actually did worse by making expensive deals with major game developers to make their titles Epic Games Store exclusive on PC platform.

Response from PC gaming community was largely negative to this practice and some angry mobs even review bombed previous titles from those game studios on Steam; most recent examples being Borderlands 2 and Rocket League.

RELATED: Borderlands 3 to Be Epic Games Store Exclusive

Of course, Steam had their rough days in the beginning and stumbled many times before coming to a steady position. With time, Epic Store can eventually provide a better experience if they truly are here to change PC gaming for good.

Obviously, "Epic Mega Sale" was meant to benefit customers and developers but Epic Games clearly need to learn from their mistake and change their attitude of throwing money at everything whenever there is a problem.

Saber Interactive reveals their post-launch free DLC roadmap for World War Z in coming months on 2019.

Although involvement of developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive in the third-person shooter title World War Z was a bit assuring, many were doubtful whether or not it would turn out to be another zombie game.

After ruling over UK sales charts following launch, WWZ has most recently sold over one million copies within first week of its release. It got developers all worked up to reveal their roadmap for upcoming free DLC updates to show their appreciation.

Starting from June, a new mission will take survivors to Tokyo where they would come across a new type of zombie that spits a deadly virus. On top of that, these particular enemies can come back by resurrecting themselves if not dispatched properly.

Judging by their appearances, these undead were most probably subjected to some sort of experimentation forcefully before or after a global pandemic that granted them abilities that are stuff of nightmares compared to its brethren.

Then in June, another free update will add six-skull difficulty setting, which is suggested to be an extreme difficult level but it comes with bonus cosmetic items and exclusive rewards for dipping your toes into intense difficulty setting.

July would deliver a new weekly challenge mode that would bring some additional cosmetic accessories and useful items. Obviously, WWZ players on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would have access to these post-launch DLC updates.

Aside from these highlighted offerings, Saber Interactive studio also planing for features like a wave-based survival mode, ability for anyone to join private lobbies or switch between player classes while in PvPvZ matches and more.

World War Z post-launch DLC schedule seems pretty jam-packed and will surely keep survivors busy trying to outlive the dead. Despite initially having some connectivity issues, the game has successfully crawled back onto its feet again.

It is stated in their official announcement that the title will stay on every other available platform for sale and cleared their intent to support all existing purchase on Steam, tactfully avoid mentioning whether they are completely removing it from Valve's storefront.
