Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Ellie from The Last of Us

Latest mod for Resident Evil 2 Remake replaces Claire Redfield with Ellie from survival horror game The Last of Us.

Soon after release of survival horror game Resident Evil 2 Remake by developer/publisher Capcom last year, there has been a surge of mods created for PC version that would change or replace many in-game characters for fun.

Thanks to an unending wave of enthusiasm within modder community, a latest mod created by a fan named Darkness Valtier features young Ellie from 2013 action-adventure title The Last of Us as a playable character for RE2 Remake.

Ellie is a secondary lead character in TLoU, who survived in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by an outbreak of Cordyceps fungus by fighting hostile humans and cannibalistic herd of Clickers alongside her mentor and father-figure Joel.

Looking forward to take on the role of a bonafide zombie-hunter, Ellie enters a heavily infested Raccoon City to encounter looming threats like G-Virus infected William Birkin and Mr. X with advanced firepower at her disposal.

Fitting a 14-year-old girl into model of a full-grown woman through modding is a task that has no guarantee of natural-looking result. Considering that, Darkness Valtier did a great job of nicely blending these two together.

Rather than simply attempting to reskin over Claire Redfield model, facial animations of Ellie are added as well. Although this modification is done over her Elza Walker costume, it simply doesn't replace voice for Claire.

Though it has yet to appear at Nexus Mods, interested players can still download RE2 Remake mod for Ellie from MediaFire. Hopefully, there is still some polish going on to adjust height differences between two of them before its release.

Currently, Resident Evil fans worldwide are waiting for Resident Evil 3 Remake release on April 3, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Last of Us will also release its follow-up sequel The Last of Us Part II for PS4 on May 29, 2020.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Goose from Untitled Goose Game

A winged fury from Untitled Goose Game invades the world of Resident Evil 2 Remake in a recent mod.

Following an anticipated launch of classic survival horror game Resident Evil 2 Remake by developer/publisher Capcom, it became universally acclaimed and has become a favorite subject of experiment for modder community.

A common trope for RE2 Remake mod is basically about taking a known pop-culture figure to replace with menacing antagonist Mr. X. In a latest twist, a honking force of nature has arrived on Raccoon City to terrorize players.

After giving people nightmares by swapping Thomas the Tank Engine with T-00 model Tyrant known as Mr. X, modder ZombieAli is back again with another of his weird take where he adds winged enigma Goose from Untitled Goose Game.

Lately, the above-mentioned stealth puzzle title from developer House House and publisher Panic has become an indie sensation because of its nonsensical gameplay of running amok in an English village as a goose, creating humorous situation.

Currently a work in progress, ZombieAli has offered a brief peak at how Goose will appear in his upcoming mod.

Marking his arrival at Raccoon City police station, Goose pushes aside the crashed chopper within the building by spreading its buffed wings while approaching to an awestruck Claire Redfield, who tries to point her firearm at it.

When final version of his work will complete, Goose will be fashioning Mr. X's iconic fedora and will include extra HONKS. There is no release date yet but people will surely want to try it out as soon as possible to see an unhinged Goose in action.

Running loose from last month, this feathered fury has honked its way to many franchise crossovers by fans and become a popular meme. Thus, it has become a worthy subject of sidelining Mr. X in a recent modding experiment.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is already out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, selling over 4.5 million copies in a few months. Various reports suggest that Capcom is planning a remake for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis to release soon.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Pennywise from IT

Latest mod for Resident Evil 2 Remake has turned Mr. X into Pennywise the Clown from It: Chapter Two.

Even more than seven month after developer/publisher Capcom released their much-anticipated survival horror game Resident Evil 2 Remake; some enthusiastic fans can never get enough of it and tries to add something on its PC version.

Ever since the game came out, modder community has been going on a frenzy of adding pop culture characters from various franchises into RE2 and one such endeavor has brought Pennywise the Dancing Clown to Raccoon City.

An ancient cosmic being that has been preying on youngsters from small town of Derry for long has returned with the release of It: Chapter Two and has now swapped places with T-00 model Tyrant, who is commonly referred as Mr. X.

Surprisingly, Stephen King's It character nicely fits into his boots and follows the same routine of chasing you through halls of R.P.D. building while a creepy circus music plays in background and punching you down when close.

This Tyrant boss is already a pretty scary enemy with seemingly no weakness to bullets or other melee weapons; now wearing skin of a creature that gives everyone nightmares has made the relentless pursuer even scarier than before.

Not only does he have a terrifying presence, you have to run from the killer clown since you can't really kill it. Previously, reference of Pennywise was found in an Easter egg on Far Cry 5 and on recent beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Both Claire Redfield and Pennywise outfit mods were made by Marcos RC and one thing to mention there is that they are not free at all. Interested players would have to join his Patreon to get those, according to video uploader.

It: Chapter Two had a successful opening week at global box-office, earning over $300 million so far. We are pretty sure that this menacing creepy clown of Stephen King will show up in many games soon if not in Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Mod Adds Easy Mode

Months after release, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice eventually gets an apparent easy mode, thanks to latest mod.

When developer From Software launched action-adventure game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One teaming up with publisher Activision in early 2019, it received immense praise aside from criticism for extreme difficulty.

Though majority of players and hardcore gamers have embraced it, mainstream critics and game journalists were asking for an easy mode. Their prayers have finally been answered as a new mod has arrived to add an easy mode.

Currently available at Nexus Mods, Sekiro The Easy mod will not completely make the game easy but help people make more progress. Without altering enemy behavior or positions, it makes some simple changes to lower game difficulty.

It provides attack buffs to protagonist one-armed Wolf and thus, helps taking down enemies quicker. Players are also given infinite amount of in-game currency Spirit Emblem to access abilities and weapons while removing fall damage.

Item drop rates and buff duration for weapons are increased along with timer of Puppeteer Ninjutsu technique to backstab opponents. There are other mods to balance out some features but Sekiro The Easy packs a couple of them into one.

Newcomers who are on the verge of giving up trying to get killed over and over again in Sekiro can at least try out this mod and receive significant perks to at least get a hold of things since the mod addresses more than a single issue.

Players would still have to learn how to overcome every in-game challenges and tackle enemies since it doesn't affect any of their intelligence but offers you a better fighting chance against odds that seemed to be unconquerable until now.

It has only been months that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice came out and From Software is already in full swing with their upcoming project Elden Ring, which have Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki on board with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin.

Bloodborne Hack Lets You Play as Enemies

A modder has come up with an enemy control feature hack that would allow you to play as enemies in Bloodborne.

Although modding is a fairly familiar concept to players on PC platform, sometime skilled modders find a way to hack into games on consoles and one such event has happened recently with 2015 PlayStation 4-exclusive title Bloodborne.

An Australian modder named Lance McDonald has hacked into the code of From Software game to find a backdoor that would allow him to take control over beastly creatures roaming in Yharnam to learn its behind-the-scene secrets.

McDonald previously hacked into action RPG game Dark Souls III to unearth secrets like an early version of Consumed King, Oceiros holding his young boy Ocelotte during a fight and more that were eventually cut off from final release.

His latest mod will let player take over any enemy or even bosses just by locking on to them, thus enabling you to wander around your surroundings and having a completely different perspective of how those creatures work.

In his first Tweet, McDonald displays how he swapped control of an enemy with The Hunter to practically test it out.

RELATED: Dark Souls 3 Secret Bonfire System Revealed

Developers have deactivated such options before shipping their finished product but he used these functions from debug menu and though they were originally built for testing controls, it is fun to see them work in real-time.

However, one may never actually finish the entire Bloodborne game using his enemy control feature since they are unable to climb ladders or even hurt other monsters ad going too far away from player would cause them to despawn.

He showed more usage of a debugging feature he found within in a follow-up Tweet to access more in-game enemies.

RELATED: PlayStation Now Adds Bloodborne and More

With a plan to test out this interesting feature in other From Software games, McDonald added enemy control into action-adventure title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and then shared a video clip of his successful progress on Twitter as well.

Instead of simply locking onto an enemy to immediately taking control of them, McDonald decided to come up with a special button combination that would require for players to press when they wished to control them and that is hard.

This perhaps is one of his most recent works but Lance McDonald has been working on mods for several From Software titles that he shares on his YouTube channel on a regular basis and enabling other content creators to work with those.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Regina from Dino Crisis

Fans of classic survival horror series Dino Crisis can now play as protagonist Regina in a new mod for Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Modder community seems to be in love with the newly released survival horror game Resident Evil 2 Remake from developer/publisher Capcom ever since it came out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as they keep releasing one mod after another.

Taking inspiration from another action-adventure survival horror franchise Dino Crisis by the same studio, a recent fan mod for RE2Make lets player take the role of Regina from the classic series in the middle of Raccoon City zombie outbreak.

Created by Shinji Mikami who is responsible for the inception of fan-favorite Resident Evil, Dino Crisis also explored aspects of survival horror but players had to deal with menacing dinosaurs instead of zombified monsters chasing after them.

Series protagonist and U.S. Special Forces operative, Regina was one of the most popular female characters in video games back in 90's when the first game of the series was released and then followed by several installments in later years.

RELATED: Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds DMX Song

Just like original Resident Evil 2, Dino Crisis 2 would let players switching control between Regina and her new teammate Dylan Morton. However, the series sort of died with the release of Dino Crisis 3 in 2003 for awful camera angles and lack of enemy variation.

Wanting for a revival of the series, fans have been requesting Capcom for some time to bring back Regina through the remake of the franchise and now that RE2 has met with immense success, they are hopeful that the studio can do it right if they really want.

Regina mod is just a reskin of Claire Redfield with hair textures taken from Ada Wong character design of course. Appearance of Leon S. Kennedy are changed into her partner Dylan Morton but this one particularly took a little less work as it seems.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is solid statement of Capcom's capability of doing remake right but apparently; they do not have plans for a Dino Crisis reboot and the fan-made mod by Crazy Potato is the closest experience we can have to relive our nostalgia of the series.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Nemesis

A fan mod has introduced Resident Evil 3 villain Nemesis into Resident Evil 2 Remake by replacing Mr. X.

Fans of survival horror and franchise loyalists loved the newly released Resident Evil 2 Remake from developer/publisher Capcom. It has also been very popular in the fan modder community who just love to tweak the game and add various changes.

Lately, a fan mod has replaced the theme song for returning villain Mr. X with hit song "X Gon' Give It To Ya" of rapper DMX and now has entirely swapped him with the titular character Nemesis from next game in the series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

RE2 Remake builds everything from the ground up and overhauls a lot of aspect that received warm reception of fans. One such element was re-imagining of trench coat wearing stalking Tyrant enemy Mr. X, who now relentlessly pursues players upon seeing.

This certain trait has been unique to Resident Evil 3 boss character Nemesis, who is armed with a rocket launcher and constantly chases RE3 protagonist Jill Valentine throughout Raccoon City while also seeking out any remaining S.T.A.R.S. members to dispatch.

Now that Capcom has made Mr. X an unstoppable killing machine, he acts a lot like his successor Nemesis, who will stop at nothing from completing his objective and will not go down or stay down for long no matter how much firepower you pour in.

Since they both are now almost same in nature and are based to work in Raccoon City, a new mod by user ZERO has taken things to next level by replacing Mr. X of RE2 Remake with the Nemesis to get chased by for an entire campaign.

Of course, the modder has used a reskinned version of terrible Tyrant from RE2, which is why it looks slightly awful but the fear factor is right there in its presence and the moment you hear it saying "S.T.A.R.S." kicks the horror nostalgia right in.

After long requests from fans for years, a remake of Resident Evil 2 has finally become a reality on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players now want a remake of Resident Evil 3, which according to reports are next in line before Capcom proceeds with Resident Evil 8.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds DMX Song

Inspired from popular meme, DMX song "X Gon' Give It To Ya" has made it into Resident Evil 2 Remake via fan mod.

Not a full month has passed since the survival horror game Resident Evil 2 Remake came out from developer/publisher Capcom, fans from all over the world are playing the game like crazy and some are taking it to the next level with exciting new mods.

Already a series of fan-created mod is out there to tweak with in-game aspects for fun and now a popular song from 2008 of rapper DMX has made it to the game via a newly created mod that replaces theme song of a certain enemy.

Released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last month, RE2 Remake has received a few notable mod for playing as original Resident Evil character Chris Redfield, switching back to first-person perspective or a fixed camera angle like 1998 classic so far.

An independent modder known as DJPop attempted to and successfully changed the actual theme song "Black Impact" for returning villain Mr. X with "X Gon' Give It To Ya" rap song by DMX in several scenes where players would come across this monster.

After Capcom announced the remake back in 2015, they totally rebuild the game using their revolutionary RE Engine that helped creating Resident Evil 7. Series protagonist and fan favorite enemies received an overhaul in terms of AI and graphics.

One of the boss characters that returned in RE2Make is a trench coat wearing Tyrant creature T-00, going by the name of Mr. X and he has been made into a stuff of raw terror that was deployed into Raccoon City to retrieve a G-Virus sample and kill all survivors.

The moment you hear the sound of his stomping boots throughout the corridor or the hallway of R.P.D., you know that you are going to be in a whole world of trouble if you do not move immediately to hide from his sight before he locks on you.

Unlike the early rendition of the boss, 2019 remake version of Mr. X is a relentless stalker and virtually unstoppable. Even if you manage to momentarily take him down with a Flash Grenade or a couple of head-shots, he will get back to his boots right in.

Of course this doesn't assist you in killing zombies or give you some gameplay perks but the fear of encountering the character in any situation will come as less stressful than it used to be and makes him slightly less scary without nerfing his punches.

Adding DMX's "X Gon' Give It To Ya" as Mr. X theme song was originally inspired from a recently popular meme of Resident Evil 2 Remake where players were adding the track to videos of the boss character and fan communities have finally modded it into the game.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Code Has Chris Redfield Character Model

A playable version of original Resident Evil protagonist Chris Redfield character model is found inside the codes of Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Returning to the roots of survival horror with Resident Evil 2 Remake on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from developer/publisher Capcom has also brought back series favorite protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield for fans after so long.

Even though an original Resident Evil character, S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield was not supposed to be present throughout the outbreak of Raccoon City. However, his full character model has been discovered within the code of RE2 Remake.

By the time college student and his sister Claire came to the city that was engulfed in T-Virus epidemic, Chris went to Europe investigating Umbrella Corporation headquarters. So, he had no reason to be around after surviving the Mansion Incident of 1998.

However, Chris Redfield character model was found thorough digging through RE2 save files but his design is based on the newly revamped concept from Resident Evil 7. Heck, you can even play as him in PC version of the game if you want and thanks to modders.

We agree that his eyes look kind of creepy and his mouth doesn't move when dialogues are delivered in Leon's voice but that is because it was never really meant for playing and Capcom probably didn't mean to reveal the model either.

The most obvious issue with this model that you cannot ignore is that his guns were not animated properly and that is why, they will be floating around him when player tries to holster them. To be fair, it was an unfinished model.
