Kick-starting right after MK11 final boss battle, Aftermath DLC debuts of two returning series character; Shokan warrior Sheeva, God of Wind Fujin and cybernetic cop from a distant future, officer Alex Murphy AKA Robocop from 80's movie.

Though story premise of Aftermath may not suit Robocop much, players are still very much intrigued to see how everyone's favorite android police character plays out and eventually fares against greatest protectors of Earthrealm.

Often assisted by peacekeeping machine ED-209, majority of RoboCop's moves are mostly shooting-based including Fatality and Krushing Blows. Fujin specializes in aerial attacks and Sheeva excels in stomping over her opponents.

Just like any other guest fighters, RoboCop had a gray suit in first film and it was much bluer in RoboCop 2. MK11: Aftermath expansion will feature both of them to choose from and a Cyber Ninja RoboCop variant, which is NetherRealm version.

Before they could precede, Fujin, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung show up from a portal warning him to stop. Kept as Kronika's prisoners, they are freed upon her demise and now came to warn Liu Kang before he unknowingly dooms everyone.

During his fight with Kronika, her Crown of Souls was shattered by Liu Kang and an attempt to restart history without it will destroy her Hourglass and all reality as well unless they retrieve it from Shang Tsung's island before she can take it.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Spawn

Gameplay trailer of DLC character Spawn for Mortal Kombat 11 reveals first look of his demonic appearance.

Long before revealing of Kombat Pack and an official confirmation from developer NetherRealm Studios, veteran comic-book creator Todd McFarlane (Haunt, Venom) has teased of his popular creation Spawn to join Mortal Kombat 11 in 2018.

This iconic anti-hero from Image Comics is currently headed to join roster of 2.5D fighting game MK11 on March 17 as part of Early Access for Kombat Pack owners and then will become available for all major platforms on March 24, 2020.

Jumping into arena from above a church, Spawn engages Scorpion in a duel and immediately starts employing his cape, chains and firearms. Is attack includes pulling a fiery chain out of the ninja specter and a crushing blow to his abdomen.

In showdown against Erron Black and Kotal Kahn, he pulls out a few more tricks with his shackles and burned them in Hellfire for a bit. There are an extensive use of weapons in combat and stabbing at rival players with his chains involved.

Facing off against Scorpion, Spawn delivers a Krushing Blow that is getting his opponent caught into a mini-explosion before raining bullets on him. It ends up with two demonic hands reaching out of ground to pull his enemy for a final finishing.

When performing his Fatality move "Rest in Pieces", Spawn would simply guide his chains to strangle his challenger and strip flesh out. Finally, he then cloaked them up in Necroplasm aura under his cape to rip the rest of their body.

Spawn has debuted back in 1992; same year as Mortal Kombat and these two franchises are finally crossing over after 28 years. NetherRealm dev team has spent over six months to get his iconic costume and cape just right for MK11.

Original voice actor Keith David (Barbershop, Pitch Black) from Emmy award-winning HBO animated series Todd McFarlane's Spawn will be reprising his role through in-game dialogue and interaction with many series characters.

Street Fighter Cameo in Mortal Kombat Rejected by Capcom

A cameo by Street Fighter character in Mortal Kombat series was proposed but shot down by Capcom.

Video game crossover is an idea that is most commonly adapted in fighting games and a very popular among fans. Often times they would collaborate with inter-company franchises or bring out fighters from third-party series.

There was a time when Mortal Kombat creator has requested for characters from their rival series Street Fighter to make a cameo in their brutally violent fighting title but that proposal was eventually declined by folks at Capcom.

It was revealed recently in an interview with Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono that Ed Boon has reached out for a cameo appearance of a character from Capcom's fighting games into one of NetherRealm Studios' own.

People working at Capcom back then was collectively uncomfortable with the idea of Street Fighter icons like Chun-Li or Ryu getting viciously murdered by Kitana, Scorpion or Sub-Zero with a deadly "Fatality" finishing move.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Terminator T-800

Yoshinori Ono talked details about a collaboration effort between both parties and how it fell down in the end.

It's true that a proposal for a Street Fighter character in Mortal Kombat was rejected by Capcom. But it wasn't me personally! There were many people at the company that felt that it wasn't a good fit for our characters. I actually met Ed at the Brazil game show and spoke to him personally about it. So it's true - but I didn't make the decision!

RELATED: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Won't Have Mai Shiranui

Characters from these two popular franchises have made a name for them within gaming industry and have appeared in many different games from other companies but they never crossed paths with each other yet.

Although their characters do not match well due to tonal differences, a possibility for future collaboration is not necessarily ruled out since they have fair share of crossover like Marvel Vs. Capcom and SNK Vs. Capcom series under their belt.

RELATED: The King of Fighters XV Announced

Despite belonging to fighting games genre, both MK series and SF are popular among fans for distinct traits like addictive gameplay or gory combat moves with an established lore full of charismatic characters to back that up.

Once, both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter games have totally dominated arcade era but that competition has cooled down when these titles found a new home in consoles to a wide range of audience from different ages.

RELATED: Samurai Shodown 2019 for Consoles Out Now

NetherRealm collided with Injustice franchise previously and brought heroes of DC Universe to their game. Even though it didn't work out this time, Capcom is always more than happy to work in partnership if they find something they like.

A more anime-esque world of Street Fighter would probably make not much sense in a darker world of Mortal Kombat for sure but that possibility is not completely out of the table yet as Capcom has not completely denied anything.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Terminator T-800

Gameplay reveal for DLC character Terminator T-800 comes in all-new official trailer of Mortal Kombat 11.

Drafted into Kombat Pack as a playable DLC character, Terminator is coming to 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 from developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment next week.

Terminator T-800 model from Terminator: Dark Fate will take on its role of a cybernetic killing machine and start offing combatants off the arena. A gameplay trailer is dropped to give you an idea of what his move sets are going to be.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's classic T-800 model makes its entrance into MK11 in style to terminate all opponents.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack Adds Shang Tsung and More

Terminator T-800 has an appearance that resembles to its recent portrayal in upcoming live-action movie Terminator: Dark Fate. It makes a similar entry like it did in Terminator 2: Judgment Day when it came to save John Connor.

Confronted by Jax, it asks whether or not he is a Cyborg and then remarks that he will be terminated regardless. Then it basically goes bashing the rival fighter repeatedly and shoot him off with a pump-action shotgun round.

T-800 displays its unique ability to use short-distance portals in a confrontation with Kano and then completely loses skin when Scorpion spews fire on it, revealing a much tougher robotic skeleton underneath synthetic molten flesh.

Upon triggering Krushing Blow, it would shoot player in the guts after hitting you with the weapon and awkwardly show a thumbs up but would grab by the legs in mid-air while mockingly saying "GET OVER HERE!" and finish up.

When performing signature Fatality, Terminator will shoot down lower half of a rival and then activate a time sphere to send their upper body to future, where one of its brethren will find them and finish them off with a plasma rifle blast.

Before Schwarzenegger's iconic Terminator character was finally included in Kombat Pack DLC, there were several rumors for T-800 to join Mortal Kombat 11 and NetherRealm did an amazing fan-service by adding most iconic action hero of all time.

Mortal Kombat Movie Will Be R-Rated

Screenwriter reveals upcoming Mortal Kombat movie reboot will be "R-Rated" and feature gory fatalities.

Despite previous attempts of making a live-action movie adaptation of Mortal Kombat fighting game series has remain unsuccessful, Warner Bros. is already on board with a franchise reboot that is currently set to release on March 5, 2021.

Most recently, casting report of actor Joe Taslim (Fast & Furious 6, The Night Comes for Us) in role of Sub-Zero came out and now, screenwriter Greg Russo (Death Note 2, Resident Evil Reboot) reveals the film to be R-rated, featuring fatalities.

A distinct aspect of MK series of games is being extremely gory when it comes to execute fatality, a finishing move that ends your opponent in most violent way possible by either burning alive, stabbing their guts out or smash heads.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the most recent installment of its long-running series and has some classic fatality moves returned as well as including new ones for newly debuted fighters like Cetrion, Geras, Kollector and boss character Kronika.

Although Greg Russo has confirmed upcoming MK movie to be R-Rated and have fatalities, he didn't mention which ones will be included.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Review-Bombed on Metacritic

Since original Mortal Kombat game from 1992 has caused controversy for graphic violence and pushed a rating system, it actually makes sense for a modern day MK movie to have an R-rating as it is probably going to include some bloody fatalities.

In 1995, director Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator, Death Race) was in charge of first Mortal Kombat film that ended up receiving a PG-13 rating and while it was commercially successful, critics have panned the movie.

Simon McQuoid has been hired to direct and James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring) is serving as a producer. An official plot synopsis is not out yet but Russo claimed to stay true to MK legacy while making slight change to fit a modern narrative.

Filming for upcoming Mortal Kombat movie reboot is currently ongoing but Warner Bros. or New Line Cinema has yet to reveal a full cast for its iconic roster. Maybe they will be generous enough to fans by revealing who is playing Scorpion up next!

Mortal Kombat Movie Casts Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero

The Raid actor Joe Taslim is cast in role of Sub-Zero by Warner Bros. for upcoming Mortal Kombat movie reboot.

Although video game movie adaptations have earned a reputation of being thrashed by critics and fans alike, a few of them like Detective Pikachu and Rampage were actually able to somehow stand out among others in recent years.

Besides, Warner Bros. has been planning for a Mortal Kombat movie reboot for some time that announced a 2021 release date and has cast Indonesian actor Joe Taslim (Fast & Furious 6, The Night Comes for Us) in a prominent role of Sub-Zero.

Also a skilled martial artist, Taslim found initial recognition through his 2011 starrer The Raid that is considered as a cult action film. He is the first actor to be cast for upcoming MK movie, which is scheduled to start shooting later this year.

There was little to do for Sub-Zero in original Mortal Kombat movie from 1995 where he ended up getting killed by Liu Kang. Taslim is likely to appear as second iteration of the character, Kuai Liang in latest script of screenwriter Greg Russo.

After hiring Simon McQuoid as director, WB has signed James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring) on board as producer for the film. McQuoid has previously directed commercials for Duracell, Netflix and even Sony's PlayStation 3.

New Line Cinema and WB initially approached writer Dave Callaham (Doom, The Expendables) and Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street, The Cloverfield Paradox) trying to reboot Mortal Kombat movie series but Russo delivered them a final script.

When delivering his Fatal Blow, the cunning sorcerer uses combined moves of Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Noob Saibot to defeat Raiden. Then he summons Kintaro out of his opponent's body to finish it with Fatality and claim his soul!

Shang Tsung was announced to be added in Kombat Pack as its first DLC character for back in March, even before the launch of MK11. Also joining him are recurring characters Nightwolf, Sindel and Todd McFarlane's comic-book character Spawn.

Two more playable fighters remains undisclosed yet and are about to join very soon. However, spattering blood on text from a chainsaw as well as ending sound hints at Ash from Evil Dead series and Terminator being those additional guest characters.

Mortal Kombat 11 Grind to Fix After Latest PS4 Update

NetherRealm has rolled out a new PS4 update for Mortal Kombat 11 to rebalance grind and Towers of Time.

Newest 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 turns out to be the best ever in entire Mortal Kombat franchise. However, it is not without its fair share of issues like outfit controversy of female fighters, political agenda and awful grind.

Seems like its player base took issue with their in-game mechanics that pushes towards micro-transactions for cosmetic items and developers have promised to deliver an adjustment earlier to fix that issue, which just rolled in today.

Their latest update for MK11 live now on PlayStation 4 has worked out issues regarding its in-game economy and Towers of Time. Aside from increasing amount of Koins and Hearts as rewards, AI difficulty curve has been adjusted as well.

In order to reduce grind and for their troubles, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment decided to rewarding players with 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul Fragments and 1,000 Time Krystals.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Kitana

Just like MK11 players on PS4 received a considerable in-game boost, NetherRealm will be rolling out same "Community Gift" for Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One platforms to make Krypt mode more player-friendly and welcoming to everyone.

A recent blowback from fans on their in-game currency reward system has made developers acknowledge this problem. Primary changes on difficulty and other features are detailed in patch notes that can be found on Mortal Kombat sub-Reddit.

Earlier, there was a claim that it would require players to spend over $6,000 to unlock every cosmetic item due to its crunch mechanics and series creator Ed Boon has quickly dismissed that idea but fans have already lost their trust on them.

Since NetherRealm Studios has always been vocal against loot boxes and pay-to-win tactics, seems like Mortal Kombat 11 only turned out to be an abusive crunch simulator because of intervention from its money grabbing publisher Warner Bros.

Mortal Kombat 11: How to Unlock Frost

Purchasable DLC fighter Frost is a hidden character within Mortal Kombat 11 that is easily unlockable in Story Mode.

After revealing their full character roster of playable fighters, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has recently released their newest fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 worldwide.

With many fan-favorite characters returning from past Mortal Kombat games, players were looking forward to Frost making a comeback. Though developers brought her back through a DLC, you can easily earn access to her in-game for free!

Whereas you can simply pick up any character from entire roster that are available right away, NetherRealm decided to include this female Lin Kuei warrior in a non-exclusive DLC aside from already adding her as an unlockable hidden character in MK11.

In Story Mode of Mortal Kombat 11, one would require playing through entire Chapter 4 with any one of Scorpion and Sub-Zero or a combination of both on a rescue mission for Cyrax to unlock Frost, which is not really that difficult at all.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Review-Bombed on Metacritic

Since they made Frost acquirable though gameplay locking her up for only $5.99 on all available platforms, it looks a lot like a cheap scheme to earn some extra buck off the pocket of die-hard fans of their critically-acclaimed franchise.

What is truly baffling here is that in spite of adding her for players to find in-game within a couple of hours into Story Mode, her DLC description had no mention of it and they only added later that you don't require an immediate purchase to get her.

Giving away pre-order bonus character Shao Kahn for MK11 is somewhat understandable but locking up a popular character behind a small paywall smells a lot like a scam because it doesn't even come with a $99.99 worth Premium Edition.

Seeing even Shao Kahn became available for purchase following launch, one may only think whether Mortal Kombat 11 has some hidden way of unlocking Gold Demon Scorpion, Kold War Skarlet and Ninja Mime Johnny Cage somehow.

Mortal Kombat 11 Review-Bombed on Metacritic

Because of SJW Propaganda and micro-transactions system, Mortal Kombat 11 is review-bombed on Metacritic.

On April 23, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has launched newest 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Though MK11 could perhaps be the best Mortal Kombat game yet in terms of gameplay and storyline, it has recently become a victim of review bombing on popular review aggregator site Metacritic and digital distribution platform Steam.

It might make people wonder, what could possibly be reason for a game to get low ratings if it is actually good and there are two reasons for that; injecting social justice agenda in it and its in-game micro-transactions system.

Currently, MK11 is sitting at an awful user score of 3.1 on Metacritic as many disappointed players are either leaving 1 or 0, many stating their reasons as "SJW Propaganda" and "Political Agenda" due to Klassic Tower ENDING for Jax.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR MORTAL KOMBAT 11.

After defeating main antagonist Kronika, Keeper of Time, Jackson Briggs uses power of her Hourglass to travel back in time to end slavery forever. Despite being a non-canon ending, it has managed to piss off many gamers as it seemed forced propaganda.

Being a military man who prefers order, Jax could have wished for permanent safety for Earthrealm or could have gotten back with his family but since he is an African American hero, NetherRealm decided to make him save his race from oppression.

Another complaint fans were pretty vocal about before launch was covering up body parts of women fighters for sake of political correctness, whereas leaving most male characters like Kano, Kotal Kahn, Liu Kang and Shao Kahn buck naked.

Then there is the infamous topic of micro-transactions and an excessive grind that gradually push players to it. Even reviewers who praised MK11 have mentioned how gameplay mechanics feels to decisively push you towards spending real-world money.

Addressing this particular issue, Mortal Kombat co-creator and game director Ed Boon took social media to announce an update to balance this grind-heavy system to unlock cosmetic items more easily for its customization features in Krypt mode.

NetherRealm and Warner Bros. may actually try something out to change Mortal Kombat 11 grind system but one way or another, calling it optional by keeping a hefty amount of game content behind Tower of Time and Krypt mode seems deceptive.

Kollector is a four-armed green skinned male of Naknada race with a similar appearance like first Mortal Kombat game sub-boss character Goro. He pledged his alliance to Outworld warlord Shao Kahn and serves his interest.

His combat moves and attributes are displayed in a not so long clip against Baraka, Kotal Kahn and Raiden. Following their initial exchange he unleashes a barrage of attack against the Tarkatan mutant with blades and Chakram.

He then briefly tackles Osh-Tekk warrior and the eternal God of Thunder while displaying more of his mystical move sets. Kollector delivers a Fatal Blow to Baraka by beating him down and heavily stabbing him in back before cutting the throat of his rival.

His Fatality kicks the poor barbarian down to ground as he keeps tearing body parts to collect limbs that he liked such as heart and head. When he is done looting his deceased opponent, the Fatality ends with him slamming his arms onto a now headless corpse.

Kotal enters the arena by shapeshifting into his humanoid form after lunging in as a lion-like creature against Special Forces member Jacqui Briggs, both showing their typical demeanor as Emperor of Outworld and professional Olympic boxer.

After taking a few hits and a punch on his face, the Osh-Tekk warrior initially delivers an intense beat down Earthrealm fighter by swinging his sword down on her to slam her to ground, sawing a little, drink her blood and even burned her with God Ray.

It was seemingly an endgame for Jacqui at that point but she quickly turns the tides of the fight by retaliating with barrage of pounding on Kahn. A few more blasts and pummeling off her gauntlets eventually enabled her to defeat her opponent.

She sets up the stage for a Fatality move with her Fatal Blow, which is to push Kahn against an energy wall before shooting him down with her Hand Cannon and then kicking him so hard that he smashed onto the wall, breaking it.
