Paladins Lore Cinematic: "A Realm Divided"
As Hi-Rez Expo 2018 came hot on our tail with ongoing Paladins World Championship and the SMITE World Championship, the last day of the event came to an end with the fourth annual Cosplay Contest by Hi-Rez Studios. Meanwhile, the developer studio thought it would be a good time to drop some new video regarding an origin story for the game Paladins: Champions of the Realm that they've been making for us and meaning to show us for some time.
Hi-Rez Studios released a brand-new cinematic video on Paladins titled "A Realm Divided", which takes the players further into the unexplored legacy of the game.
"A Realm Divided" goes way back into the ancient history of the Paladins from their golden age when they used to fight wars against dragons with their magical power to restore order and balance to the world. After all was settled, the Paladins retired and the former among them formed a council of magistrates. For centuries, there were peace and order under their guidance but then came a time when crafted crystals became a new source of power that brought a new revolution.

However, the uses of this new crystals caused accidents and the council deemed the use of it by common folks should be prohibited. Grand Magister Karnes took a zero-tolerance policy on this matter only to rebelled by an ancient Paladin warrior. As the rebellion stands against the magistrates with weaponized crystal magic, the former took heavy damage but became more determined in their cause. So, the battle to restore balance to the realm begins and the lore of Paladins takes a new step towards expansion.

Hi-Rez Studios presents Paladins: Champions of the Realm is a free-to-play hero shooter game available to play on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For their latest announcement of joining online multiplayer battle royale, the studio itself and the game is currently a hot-topic on the gaming industry for the past couple of days. Then the release of this cinematic short also hints that the game is being readied for a long race in the upcoming time.
