After releasing the first E3 trailer for one of their most anticipating project Resident Evil 2 Remake only two days earlier on E3 2018 press conference, developer/publisher Capcom decides to be generous enough and offer a glimpse at their re-engineered gameplay system for the game.

So, they played a live demo of RE2 during PlayStation Live at E3 while discussing what are the changes they did and how it going to redefine the genre of survival horror with this classic title.

At the showcase, RE2 remake demo opens up with rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy joining for duty and goes inside Raccoon City Police Department looking for clues. While trying to keep the vibe of the original game intact, they tried to get rid of the fixed camera angles and made the zombie killing experience more enjoyable.

Newly added third-person viewpoint works a lot like Resident Evil 4. However, maintaining the roots, this game will focus less on shooter aspect akin to later entries to the series.

Even though it is called a remake, the entire game is being rebuilt over the base content of the original but developers are not doing a direct clone. Promises of including new elements of gameplay is what we already know about with building barricades to fend off an incoming horde trying to get you.

Restrooms are one of the new additions that RE2 never had before. Things that did not change are the use of knife and scarcity of ammunition to keep players on their toes.

It surely will be a fun experience seeing Raccoon City coming back to life once again, reinvented to instill fear in our hearts and reliving the experience in all-new, all-different view will never be the same.
