Dead Cells: Fatal Falls DLC Out Now

Ahead of Christmas last year, indie studios Evil Empire and Motion Twin announces to release a second paid DLC expansion titled Fatal Falls for 2018 roguelike Metroidvania game Dead Cells in early 2021 launch window for all platforms.

Motion Twin introduces new biomes, boss character, unique enemies and deadly weapons to deliver an all-new gameplay experience. Fans who enjoyed Dead Cells' first DLC expansion Bad Seed can expect to have fun playing Fatal Falls.

Motion Twin released a new animated trailer highlighting aspects of Dead Cells: Fatal Falls DLC on launch.

Notable addition of Fatal Falls DLC includes two new locations; Fractured Shrines and Forgotten Shores to explore. One is comprised of floating platforms and giant statues, another level has a several risk of falling over a cliff during battle.

Moving away from typical dungeon-like levels, Fatal Falls focuses a lot on outdoors while adding more verticality and new challenges. Moreover, your well-planned combat decisions would be a main key to survival in latest content update.

More Verticality and Danger

You will find an alternative to Mushroom companion running through these biomes, a flying pet sword called Serenade. There are enemies like Clumsy Swordsman, Compulsive Gravedigger, Nearsighted Raven and many more to tackle.

Players may not find the hovering pet sword on their first run of Fatal Falls and may overlook it as well. You need to look closely within surrounding environments of Fractured Shrines to find clues that eventually guide you to Serenade.

Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle

When you are done souring through these areas, an epic boss battle awaits for you against The Scarecrow. Leaving his former role of Royal Gardener, he has become hostile towards anyone who comes over and is suffering from malaise.

Dead Cells: Fatal Falls DLC is available on all major platforms for $4.99 only and its base game is currently on sale for 50% off. You can also purchase Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle priced at just $29.99, collecting main game and all DLCs.
