It was originally leaked earlier this year that newest entry in publisher Activision's annual Call of Duty franchise will be rumoredly titled "WW2 Vanguard", set during events of World War II and helmed by developer Sledgehammer Games.

A recent datamine leak has allegedly confirmed its official title to be Call of Duty: Vanguard and was shared over social media by CharlieIntel. As soon as these images started circulating online, Activision was quick to take all of them down.

Sledgehammer Games previously worked on Call of Duty: WWII that took WWII period as story premise. However, Call of Duty: Vanguard will reportedly take players to Japan and will partially explore Pacific Theatre of War in its campaign.
