God of War: Ragnarök May Have Been Delayed to 2023

Originally set to release last year, upcoming action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök by developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment was delayed to 2022 earlier from its original 2021 window.

A previous leak at PlayStation Store has revealed a potential release date for Ragnarök set for September 30, 2022. Another latest leak on PS Network suggests God of War: Ragnarök date has recently been moved to later this year.

God of War: Ragnarök placeholder date on PlayStation Network was changed from September 30 to December 31, 2022. Earlier last year, Twitter account PlayStation Game Size discovered a September 2022 release date in December.

In a follow-up Tweet, they also clarified that December 31 is a placeholder date and Ragnarök may release by October or November. It would be wise for fans to take these leaks with a grain of salt, until Sony officially confirms a date.

PlayStation Game Size shared a newfound placeholder date for God of War: Ragnarök on PSN Store backend.

A number of European sources have reportedly claimed that Ragnarök has now been delayed to next year. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier however, expressed doubts on these claims and cites his very own trustworthy sources.

GoW: Ragnarök was spotted online at rating board of Saudi Arabia last year and South Korea a few weeks back. More recently, voice actor Ryan Hurst shared that he finished recording lines for Thor, hinting at a very imminent release.

Twitter user mrpyo1 has pointed out lately that PlayStation Store page for Ragnarök has been updated a day before Summer Game Fest 2022, much like how PSN page for Final Fantasy XVI was updated shortly ahead of State of Play.

God of War: Ragnarök is expected to launch later this year for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. Santa Monica creative director Cory Barlog has addressed fans in April this year to be patient for more news on upcoming sequel.
