Death Stranding Sequel in Early Development, According to Norman Reedus

A few months after 2019 action strand game Death Stranding by developer Kojima Productions and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment was released on PlayStation 4, a potential sequel game was teased game director Hideo Kojima.

Last year, actor Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead) talked about working on a second Death Stranding game. More recently, he seemingly confirmed a sequel is currently in early phase of development at an interview.

Hollywood actor Norman Reedus told men's style publication LEO about his ongoing projects in a latest interview. He said, "We just started the second one" while discussing about his work on original Death Stranding as Sam Porter Bridges.

Reedus also talked about how Guillermo Del Toro once called him and said if he gets a call from Hideo Kojima, he should say yes. They met in San Diego and he saw Kojima's work on Silent Hills horror reboot and he eventually agrees to do it.

He originally signed up for a new Silent Hill game with Kojima and del Toro, which got cancelled by publisher Konami in 2015. Kojima Productions reformed as an independent studio and starts working on post-apocalyptic walking simulator.

Death Stranding sequel has not officially been announced yet but Hideo Kojima teased multiple new projects currently in works. Kojima Productions launched a Director's Cut for PlayStation 5 last year and PC version came out in early 2022.
