Final Fantasy 7 Remake is Best-Selling Game of April 2020

Only within a month of release, Final Fantasy VII Remake becomes top-selling game for the month of April 2020.

It was revealed through an official announcement last month that newly released action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake from developer/publisher Square Enix has become fastest-selling PlayStation 4-exclusive ever.

Even amidst middle of COVID-19 global pandemic, FFVII Remake has sold over 3.5 million units in just three days and according to a latest sales figures report from NPD, Final Fantasy VII is currently the best-selling game of April 2020.

NPD has released sales figures for video games in April 2020 today that shows a major increase in sales up to 55%, where titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was topped by Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Square Enix's 1997 classic JRPG remake is already third best-selling game of year 2020 overall behind Modern Warfare and New Horizons, which also broke franchise launch month record previously set by Final Fantasy XV in 2016.

Fans throughout worldwide have lost their collective minds when Final Fantasy VII Remake was originally announced back in E3 2015 for PS4 and they all waited for long without any official word from Square Enix to reveal its release.

It took multiple delays for FF VII Remake to finally arrive after five long years and has managed to impress everyone with its updated look. Fans of original Final Fantasy VII and newcomers have cordially embraced its modern take.

Square Enix has a series of titles planned for future to follow up first installment of FF7 Remake and expand its lore. A second part is on planning stage now and game co-director Tetsuya Nomura hopes to release next chapter a bit earlier.

Numbers revealed by NPD also adds up with early reports of Final Fantasy VII Remake selling more than 3.5 million units worldwide. Given how much fans and critics have appreciated FF VII, its impressive sales is not much of a surprise.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Becomes Fastest-Selling PS4-Exclusive Ever

Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy VII Remake has sold over 3.5 million copies within three days of launch.

After many years of anticipation, action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake from developer/publisher Square Enix has finally been launched for PlayStation 4 console earlier this month, amidst a global pandemic of COVID-19.

Despite having a chaotic release schedule due to recent crisis of Coronavirus outbreak, FFVII Remake has managed to sell 3.5 million units worldwide in first three days of its launch and became fastest-selling PlayStation 4-exclusive ever.

Because of current international situation, many retailers didn't receive their copy of the game before release. Remake of Final Fantasy 7 quickly sold out in many retail stores of Australia and Europe as it was available for purchase early.

However, fans throughout the world were frustrated when Square Enix refused to release Final Fantasy 7 Remake early on PlayStation Store, which left many of them unable to play it on time and some receiving copies earlier than expected.

This unexpected delivery mishap was a minor obstacle for success of Final Fantasy VII, according to official press release. In fact, overall numbers including digital and physical sales were more than previously expected 2.3 million units.

Even before crossing its launch week, FF7 has beaten previous set record of 3.3 million sales by Marvel's Spider-Man. Hopefully, its impressive sales figure will easily be toppled when The Last of Us Part II will finally come out at long last.

Now that almost everyone is forced into self-isolation and practicing social-distancing, people have a lot of spare time. Physical copies were sold out in many regions as fans have rushed to nearby stores to grab a copy before stocks ran out.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is released as a timed exclusive title for PlayStation 4, which ends on April 10, 2021. Square Enix is very much likely to announce a PC version then as well as an upgraded port for Sony's next-gen console PlayStation 5.

Square Enix released a demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake on PSN Store to let you play though iconic bombing mission.

Earlier this year, a leak from PlayStation Store has revealed that developer/publisher Square Enix has plans to release a playable demo for upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Eager fans who were expecting to get a hands-on preview of the game before its April release won't have to wait anymore as Sony has finally released a demo for FFVII Remake today on PS Store that players can download and play now.

Currently available worldwide for all PS4 players, the demo will cover opening chapter of Final Fantasy VII, where protagonist Cloud Strife and AVALANCHE leader Barret Wallace takes on a mission to plant a bomb at Mako Reactor 1.

Though you only get to try out iconic bombing mission segment, there is a lot to explore within its large complex. While fighting against Shinra Security troopers with your huge Buster Sword, be sure to watch out for details and secrets.

At one point, you will come across in-game first boss Scorpion Sentinel, who is not going to be an east mark to take on. Even when you managed to defeat this mechanical atrocity, Cloud has to make an escape through a collapsing complex.

First-hand experience to a revamped combat system awaits everyone, which is a mix of real time action and commands from menu. Those who prefer strategy over action can simply begin with Classic Mode and keep experimenting.

Also, an exclusive PS4 theme will be out on FF7 Remake launch next month for players who would play the demo before May 11, 2020. According to description, progress made during your trial will not be carried over to main game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is set to arrive for PlayStation 4 platform on April 10, 2020, featuring opening Midgar section from original game. Square Enix will be working on its second part to complete full story and release on a later date.

Square Enix has revealed opening cinematic clip from Final Fantasy VII Remake only months ahead of release.

With only months to go for launch of upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake, developer/publisher Square Enix has been hyping up player community with new in-game footage and trailers.

After showing off many related media so far, opening cinematic from FFVII Remake is rolled out today. It is designed with every familiar aspects of original classic to take all series fans back to 90's nostalgia lane, just how everyone expected.

Moving over to city of Midgar, a young florist named Aerith Gainsborough looks above where a train was pulling into a station. On board that ride, elite super-soldier and mercenary Cloud Strife arrives with friends for his first mission.

Square Enix is now on final stages of development and has kept everyone waiting for last five years for a complete ground-up remake of FFVII after making an official announcement during PlayStation press conference back at E3 2015.

Following an unexpected delay earlier this year, Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently scheduled to release worldwide on April 10, 2020 for PlayStation 4 and will remain a timed exclusive title for Sony consoles until March 3, 2021.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo Will Be Playable at PAX East

Square Enix has announced to show up at PAX East with Final Fantasy VII Remake demo for attendees.

Though fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on upcoming action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake by developer/publisher Square Enix upon release, they can have a hands-on experience later this month.

Sony has recently made announcement of showing up at PAX East 2020 on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Attendees will be able to try out FFVII Remake demo there at booth 12011, months ahead of its release on April 10, 2020.

Square Enix is likely presenting the same demo they previously showed in Cologne, Los Angeles, Seattle and Tokyo. So, people will be able to play through first mission of FFVII, featuring Cloud Strife and his friends in AVALANCHE group.

Together, these unsung rebel heroes will attempt to take down several Mako reactors of evil Shinra Corporation on Midgar. Players will hopefully get a better look at Aerith Gainsborough, Barret Wallace and a few more familiar faces.

PAX East event will remain open for all visitors until March 1 and therefore, fans have four days to check it out for themselves. Anyone who previously missed their chance to test the demo first-hand somehow can try their luck this time.

FF7 Remake demo was apparently leaked at PlayStation Store in late December and ended up revealing its opening cinematic. It was never addressed so far, probably because it didn't reveal anything that they were not shown already.

Instead of waiting for its arrival on console platform on a later date, you might as well go visit PAX event and play now anyway. There would surely be other anticipated games from known developers to try your hand out as well.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a timed PlayStation 4-exclusive title until March 3, 2021 and may come to PC platform afterwards. However, there is no word on whether there would be a Nintendo Switch or Xbox One version.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Box Art Revealed

Square Enix reveals official box art for Final Fantasy VII Remake featuring Cloud Strife at Tokyo Game Show 2019.

Long after making announcement back in 2015, upcoming action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake by developer/publisher Square Enix now has a release date to arrive for PlayStation 4 consoles on March 3, 2020.

After long-anticipation, developer team has revealed official box art of FFVII Remake for North America and Europe. It pays homage to original artwork of the 1997 PlayStation game and did a complete makeover featuring Cloud Strife.

Carrying his iconic Buster Sword, protagonist Cloud is ready to take on corrupt organization Shinra Corporation alongside his allies in eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE the and attention to detail on everything is simply amazing.

Producer of the game, Yoshinori Kitase talks about introducing Classic mode in combat mechanics and bringing back Summons system from original title for every hero to call on powerful creatures for assist in a fight.

Players can input commands for actions when already engaged in combat and not worry about dodging any attacks. Each hero character will be equipped with a Summon material with a special gauge to call for some extra support.

Also, a brand-new batch of FFVII screenshots was released at Tokyo Game Show 2019 that many who were not present there have missed. Cloud shows up alongside his ally Barret Wallace and childhood friend Tifa Lockhart.

Although Square Enix revealed an early 2020 launch window for Final Fantasy VII Remake, they are only going to drop a piece of its complete story and rest of the whole project will be completed over time in more standalone parts.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date

In a surprise reveal, Square Enix announces official release date for upcoming PS4-exclusive Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Though developer/publisher Square Enix is scheduled to have their E3 2019 press conference very soon on June 11, game director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase decided to drop something special at Final Fantasy concert today.

Ahead of E3 event, they came bearing great news for upcoming highly-anticipated PlayStation 4 game Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is now all set to launch on March 3, 2020 and debuted a brand- new teaser trailer with new scenes.

The trailer opens up with lead character Cloud Strife walks up to a reactor carrying his iconic Buster Sword on his back. A  Shinra corporation employee reports to his boss about a troublesome mercenary group who call themselves AVALANCHE.

He is then seen in gameplay action alongside members of that group and among them was Barret Wallace, fighting to destroy a Mako reactor. At one point, Could also come across a beautiful flower seller named Aerith Gainsborough.

After being announced back at E3 2015, a series of delays have plagued FFVII Remake for long and it was revealed last year, at 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy series that developers would release the high-definition remake before 2023.

Apparently, this teaser trailer was just a tip of the iceberg of what Square Enix has in store to show for Final Fantasy VII Remake at their press event that will officially kick-off shortly and is currently set for June 10, 2019, 6 PM PT.

May 2019 episode of PlayStation State of Play stream features update on anticipated new PS4 releases.

After having their first-ever State of Play broadcast stream back in March, Sony Interactive Entertainment has returned once again with its second episode to showcase announcements for some of the anticipated upcoming PlayStation titles.

Some of these upcoming PS4 games are what keeping everyone on edge of their seats. Compared to their last show, May 2019 is relatively short and straight to the point while also faring a lot better than its first episode in terms of fan-reaction.

One of the deadliest creatures from sci-fi action horror genre we came across on movies was undoubtedly big-game hunting Predator that Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Dutch Schaefer has tussled with in 1987 live-action movie.

Back in October 2018, a PS4 remake for action-adventure hack and slash game MediEvil was announced by developer SIE Worldwide Studios and Sony has revealed its official release date to be this Halloween on October 25, 2019!

Not everyone is lucky enough to get a chance at redemption but Sir Daniel Fortesque gets his chance after death. So, he is returning in an all-new glory this year wielding his enchanted sword at his enemies to liberate Gallowmere from an undead invasion.

A high-definition remake of action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake is long overdue now that it was announced back in E3 2015 and developer/publisher Square Enix confirmed that it would arrive sometime before 2023.

Newest spectacular look at FFVII brings back a lot of memory and seeing Aerith and Cloud together is priceless. While teasing us with a glimpse for now, producer Yoshinori Kitase promised to reveal more in June, probably in E3 2019.

Monster Hunter: World – Iceborne | Release Date
