With many beloved sequels and new IPs set to arrive in 2024, gamers are eagerly awaiting their release on PC and consoles. More games are getting concurrent multiplatform launch, including exclusives, remakes and remastered version.

10. Hades II (PC via Epic Game Store and Steam)




Premiered at The Game Awards 2022 event, upcoming rogue-like dungeon crawler game Hades II by developer/publisher Supergiant Games is a direct sequel to its 2020 original, which is set to launch for PC via Early Access early this year.

After reuniting his estranged parents, previous protagonist Zagreus is hanging up his drapes and passing the torch to his sister, Melinoë. In a contrast to her brother, she wields magical abilities, shadowy weapons and a lot more as a witch.


9. Dragon's Dogma II (PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S)




Revealed at 10th Anniversary livestream, upcoming action role-playing game Dragon's Dogma II from developer/publisher Capcom is a follow-up to 2012 original that introduces new gameplay elements and a range of formidable enemies.

Another long-awaited sequel to arrive this year, Dragon's Dogma 2 will come to all platforms on March 22, 2024. Focused on a character named Arisen, players will be able to climb adversaries, wield magic and take part in multiplayer too.


8. Black Myth: Wukong (PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S)




Inspired by classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, upcoming action role-playing game Black Myth: Wukong by developer Game Science was revealed back in 2020 with a gameplay preview showing off combat action scene and visuals.

At annual The Game Awards 2023 show, Black Myth: Wukong was announced to be released on August 20, 2024. Game Science already highlighted breathtaking action and detailed graphics of their ambitious RPG title via multiple trailers.


7. Rise of the Ronin (PlayStation 5)




Forge your own destiny in late 19th century Japan as upcoming action-role playing game Rise of the Ronin by developer Team Ninja and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment takes you to a period of civil war and great political turmoil.

From the creators of Nioh and the Ninja Gaiden series, Sony's next big samurai action game Rise of the Ronin offers a unique gameplay experience with narrative choices and range of weapons, arriving for PlayStation 5 on March 22, 2024.


6. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II (PC and Xbox Series X/S)




Hyping up an epic sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, developer Ninja Theory is offering new sneak peeks at their upcoming action-adventure game Senua's Saga: Hellblade II since its reveal and teases at its greater ambition and scope.

Although a date has not been announced yet, a recent reveal at The Game Awards 2023 may be hinting at a 2024 release. Coming to Xbox Game Pass on day-one, Hellblade II will launch for PC, Xbox Series X/S console, with xCloud gaming.


5. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (PlayStation 5)




In a second chapter of an would-be trilogy, upcoming action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth by developer/publisher Square Enix plans to go even bigger than its predecessor as they plan to release it soon on February 29, 2024.

Shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games this year, FFVII: Rebirth plans to expand on the 1997 original story. A confirmed PlayStation 5-exclusive, FF7R will bring back many new and familiar faces, various mini-games and more.


4. Persona 3: Reload (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X/S)




A faithful remake of original 2006 story, upcoming role-playing game Persona 3: Reload brings it in parity with more recent series installments like Persona 5: Royal by adding graphical features and updates for better gameplay experience.

Although fans are expecting an authentic remake, P3: Reload may not be a Definitive Version of original Persona 3 release. Atlus won't include any FES or Portable content when it launches for PC and major platforms on February 2, 2024.


3. Tekken 8 (PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S)




Blending familiar faces and old series favorites once again, upcoming 3D fighting game Tekken 8 from developer/publisher Bandai Namco invites everyone back to popular competitive arena of King of Iron Fist Tournament this January 26.

Tekken 8 embodies long-running series tradition of intense competition and electrifying combat experience. It introduces new gameplay modes and innovative features like Heat mechanics for aggressive combat to match its series legacy.


2. Avowed (PC and Xbox Series X/S)




Set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, upcoming action role-playing game Avowed from developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Xbox Game Studios promises immersive story- telling and a vast open-world for exploration.

Obsidian's new fantasy RPG takes inspiration from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim but is expected to focus on character-driven storyline. Avowed takes you to land of Eora to investigate a spreading plague and explore the puzzling Living Lands.


1. Star Wars: Outlaws (PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S)




Reportedly expected to arrive in early 2024, upcoming open-world action-adventure game Star Wars: Outlaws from developer Massive Entertainment and publisher Ubisoft currently planned for an indefinite window of release this year.

Ending a long-running tenure of EA exclusivity, Outlaws is first-ever open-world Star Wars game that lets you play as professional scoundrel Kay Vess along with her loyal companion Nix to pull off one of the biggest heists in known galaxy.


Gamers are also stoked for titles like Jurassic Park: Survival, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Little Nightmares III, Skull & Bones, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and many others to release this year.

Anticipation among many also runs high for Hollow Knight: Silksong, Marvel's Wolverine, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 as fans fervently mark their calendars for a likely release date.
