Red Dead Online Battle Royale Mode Gun Rush Live Now

Red Dead Online gets a more action-focused Battle Royale mode Gun Rush today, which is a 32-player fight for survival.

Battle Royale genre of games is not seeing the same traction it once saw with games like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Later, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 managed to show some potential for a while though with the release of their Blackout mode.

Western action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 however took the most unique take on the category with their online multiplayer component Red Dead Online where players duke it out among them using bow and arrows or a bunch of throwing knives.

Although the known online multiplayer mode of RDR2 is still in beta phase after launching on November 2018, developer/publisher Rockstar Games released a brand-new update to make battle royale more interesting and take it to a bigger scale.

Titled Gun Rush, the newly introduced mode pits a maximum of 32 players into the same Wild West where the story of Arthur Morgan took place, to fight till the last person standing in an ever-shrinking area as they look for weapons and ammunition.

The previously existed game mode "Make It Count" was an interesting take on the genre but on a much smaller scale that didn't rely much on weapons for survival but the updated game mode takes things to a more action-packed, intensified extent.

Rockstar also plans to bring in changes like bounty upgrades for committing crimes and Parley system to deal with feuds in structured manner. These balances will be implemented mostly to deal with aggressive players and grievance.

Of course RDR2 version of battle royale is not heading towards the weird building mechanics in the middle of a fight like Fortnite Battle Royale or forcing players to face poor optimization and performance issues like PUBG. They are keeping it to a manageable number of 32 players to have everything under control.

Another change they are planning to make for Red Dead Online is altering the way player blips in the map to make it more difficult to detect player locations within long distances unless they start killing indiscriminately and then the blip gets darken so that others can identify them.

Rockstar Games are planning to stay in beta phase for another few months and offer new events, modes and story missions in the mean time. Red Dead Redemption 2 is out and available for everyone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Exclusive items like Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle, Red Chestnut Arabian Horse and the High Roller Double-Action Revolver came as PS4 Early Access content earlier. Starting from today, players on Xbox One can access those items as well.

Rockstar has allowed owners of RDR2 Ultimate Edition to cut in early into the Red Dead Online Beta, while others were waiting a day or two more but for many, that was too much to wait for and finally, everyone who owns a copy of the game can jump in starting today.

Red Dead Online Battle Royale Revealed

Leave your guns behind and pick up some bows or knives to enter Red Dead Online battle royale arena!

It's been over a month that developer/publisher Rockstar Games released their most anticipated title of the year, Red Dead Redemption 2 that led to huge sales and stellar reviews. The online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online also started today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Earlier, there was buzz of the multiplayer to feature a battle royale-like mode but many has laughed it off because almost every game out there these days have a mode like that but now there is more evidence on social media to back that rumor up.

Recently, a list of activities from RDO has been posted on Twitter by illogical Mods ahead of the beta's launch that supports the theory of battle royale.

RELATED: Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Early Access Content

The list reveals the inclusion of a few jobs, races and the most talked about battle royale mode. Even though Rockstar is joining the trend like many others, they are keeping their word of not being a "copycat" unlike every other big title from the genre.

Make It Count pits up to 32 players on a shrinking area for a last man standing confrontation but this is not your typical battle royale mode where you engage in a shootout. Instead of any six shooters, you are only armed with bows or knives as weapons.

RELATED: Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer

Depending on where you stand at the moment, you can have either one of them to duke it out with fellow outlaws. For instance, you will end up with the bow if you are playing in Saint Denis Plantation and Tall Trees. Stillwater Creek and Strawberry hands you throwing knives.

A cowboy conflict is often sorted out with some shootout but throwing bows and knives in exchange for guns was a good twist though. Restricting players to silent weapons like these put more emphasis on stealth and thus, creates more tension.

The developers also created a few bounty jobs, where you interact with a character named Horley and take tasks like hunting down outlaws or avenge the death of a man for his widow. He will also introduce you to horse thief Clay Davies to learn bits of rustling trade.

Players can also engage in various activities the massive map of single player campaign with friends or just go solo. If you miss shootout then there will be a lot of scopes for that regarding battles over territories. Otherwise, what's the point of including the vast amount of weapons in the game?

RELATED: Red Dead Online Beta Begins Tomorrow

May be it is too early to say this but Red Dead Online make a very good move by taking a more stealthy approach to battle royale, which many of the games are not following these days at all. The best part is that, it completely removes any issue that may rise with weapon balance problems.

However, Rockstar may eventually add the traditional battle royale gameplay mechanics in future though. Red Dead Redemption 2 is only rolling out its online multiplayer in beta form but it will take some more time for all players to join the full experience it has to offer.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Undead Nightmare Teased?

Evidence is found within Red Dead Redemption 2 that clearly suggests for a second Undead Nightmare DLC.

The original Red Dead Redemption had a standalone expansion pack titled Undead Nightmare that added a zombie horror-themed single-player campaign, multiplayer modes and cosmetics. Players really loved this idea of an alternate reality take on the game.

When Red Dead Redemption 2 launched a month ago as a prequel to the Western-themed action-adventure title from 2010, everyone wondered to themselves that whether or not developer/publisher Rockstar Games will release the DLC campaign for RDR2.

Recently, evidence were found and shared on social media that suggests a second Undead Nightmare DLC on its way. Reddit user BrodytheBeast20 found a creepy Easter egg in a well near Tall Trees that is a direct nod to the acclaimed horror experience.

Although many players are already done with the story campaign and jumped into multiplayer mode Red Dead Online, we would like to warn you that if you haven't finished the game and want to stay away from any spoilers, you should hold your horses here.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2.

Awright, just like the previous title, RDR2 features a playable epilogue where a substitute main character takes place of the protagonist and the control is switched. The game shifts control from Arthur Morgan to John Marston and taking him down to a well in Tall Trees will lead you to the following.

RELATED: Red Dead Redemption 2 Videos Deleted and Restored by YouTube

This hint is more than obvious and a bit on the nose but you can still see it in the dark deep down the well if you light it up with a lantern. Moving the camera angle will show a skeletal-face of Marston, which clearly resembles to the promotional image of the Undead Nightmare DLC.

Now it could either be a simple nod to the original campaign or it could simply foreshadowing his tragic ending after he put up a valiant last stand at the end of the Red Dead Redemption. If this is nothing but a reference to the past, then there is not much to be excited for.

RELATED: Red Dead Redemption 2 Hits 17 Million Sales

Undead Nightmare was a lengthy playthrough set in the original map of RDR creating a different world with familiar characters. The prequel may follow the same formula to cook up a zombie thriller starring John Marston as playable hero once again.

Aside from an engaging storyline and gameplay, Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of Easter eggs here and there. If one of them turns out to be a tease for an upcoming expansion, it would really be great and would be a better plan than the ones you keep hearing from Dutch.

Red Dead Online Beta Begins Tomorrow

Early access to Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer mode Red Dead Online Beta begins tomorrow, November 27.

Right after Western action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 from developer/publisher Rockstar Games is released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26, people might have forgotten that there is a real world out there and got lost into the open world of the game.

Now that many have finished playing the main game, players are now waiting for its online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online. Rockstar has announced to launch the beta on November 27, 5:30 AM PT and only will open up to the owners of RDR2 Ultimate Edition.

Much like GTA Online, players can create and customize their own characters and use the full map of RDR2. You can go solo or play the mode with up to seven other players to join a posse that goes out for hunting and fishing together.

Some of the camp system from the main game will be available in the mode and you are allowed to attack rival gangs in their hideouts or fight other players. There are even rumors of including some kind of battle royale mode but that has yet to be confirmed.

Initially Rockstar Games revealed only bits of details about the mode ahead of its release that both casual and seasoned players can enjoy regardless. In the mean time, it would be nice seeing the studio getting rid of the bugs and glitches to make Red Dead Redemption 2 as smooth as possible.

With constant updates and adjustments, the experience of multiplayer through Red Dead Online has the potential to make the franchise an exceptional commercial success as it will continue to grow for the community over time.

Best Hunting Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

The fundamentals of a good hunting game are focused on a realistic hunting experience and here are some best hunting games for Consoles or PC.

Traditionally if you wanted to obtain skills for hunting, then your best bet would be to actually be present in the wilds yourself. You would have to learn the tips and tricks that all hunters must follow to hunt effectively and successfully or the help of an experienced hunter you know, to aid you on your first hunting adventure.

However, nowadays you may not need to go through all that trouble, because video games have become quite main-stream over the years and there are plenty of hunting games available on different platforms that can actually give you a realistic hunting experience.

best hunting games pc ps4 xbox one
Best Hunting Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Of course, it may not ever be similar to obtaining first-hand Hunting Experience in the wilds for real but it can still give you an idea of what to really expect out there in a safe controlled environment at the comfort of your own home.

The real-life excitement of it is a lot dimmed down through these simulators but that doesn't mean that it would hurt you to have some fun time with it. So, take a look at some of the best hunting games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

01. The Hunter: Call of the Wild (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
If you are looking for one of the most realistic hunting experience in a game that can almost be passed off as a simulation, then the hunter: Call of the Wild is exactly what you might be looking for. Unlike its predecessors of The Hunter series, it is a one-time purchase game, which can be extended with additional DLC.

The game allows you to hunt in two reserves based on the North American Pacific Northwest. The base game offers 15 animals that can be hunted, which can be expanded to 25 if you purchase all the offered DLCs.

You can use different caliber rifles, shotguns, pistol, and even bows in the game to hunt animals. In order to get the highest score, the player would have to choose the right weapon depending on the type of animal they intend on hunting.

The player is also provided with a camera to take pictures of the different animals, nature, landmarks, and points of interest in the game. There is also a multiplayer component in the game that lets you form a team of up to 8 players.

In order to track animals, you would have to pay close attention to their different voice calls, footprints, droppings and their "need zones" where they usually take shelter. The natural vegetation can be used as cover by players, and they must keep their noise to a minimum to hunt successfully.

2. Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
This game is a bit old, but it is still a pretty good hunting simulation. It was originally created for 7th generation consoles, but it still holds up quite well today. The game offers a single player campaign set in North America.

The player gets to play with four professional big game hunters from the real world who provide advice throughout the campaign. In order to progress, you have to use various weapons such as rifles, bows, and shotguns to hunt animals and complete objectives.

There are four different hunting areas in the game divided into South East, North East, South West, and North West. You have to hunt down special animals known as "game bosses" to unlock the following hunting area.

3. Far Cry 5 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Far Cry 5 isn't one of your conventional hunting games, because the game offers more than just hunting. It is an open world action adventure game set in a fictional region in Montana and deals with your player's attempts at surviving an oppressive cult that has taken over these beautiful lands.

It has some impressive next-generation graphics, and the wilderness in the game really stands out compared to other games. Although it is not focused particularly on hunting, you are given the option to hunt as a side activity that complements the main campaign.

There are a diverse set of animals that make up the ecosystem of the game, and they give you a real sense of danger when you are venturing off alone in the wilds. You have many different weapons to use at your disposal ranging from handguns, shotguns assault rifles, and various throwables.

All of these weapons can be used to hunt animals. The pelts of these animals can also be skinned to be sold at stores to earn in-game currency. Far Cry 5 does not aim to provide a hunting simulation, but it does offer some fun gameplay and a realistic sense of risk as the different animals can attack you at any moment.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Yup, you heard it right! Just like the previous game in this list, this is not a game tailored specifically for hunting either. The game pays homage to classic western movies such as The Wild Bunch and Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy.

It is set in an open world and features a fictionalized version of the Western United States. Although this game is mainly known for its wonderful cinematic single-player campaign following the lives of a bunch of outlaws escaping civilization, it does feature a very realistic hunting side activity.

Although the hunting in this game may not be considered a simulation, it is indeed something very close to a simulation because of the various details and technology that the developers have implemented to bring out the true hunting essence.

When you're off on a hunting adventure in the game, you will have to use the various weapons of that era, such as single-action revolvers, shotguns, rifles, and even bows. Using the wrong kind of weapon on the wrong animal can damage your pelt, so you have to pick your weapon carefully.

You can also hunt down some legendary animals, which provide pelts of the highest quality. Red Dead Redemption 2 also provides a real sense of danger to players, and animals have a keen sense of smell. So you have to be very careful before approaching one.

There are many video games out there that provide an outstanding hunting experience without even being present in the wilds. Hunting, in reality, can sometimes be considered an expensive sport because of the different gears that you require to hunt successfully.

Although video games are not necessarily cheap, they are definitely easier on the wallet in comparison to hunting rifles and other crucial hunting components. Also, you can stay clear from danger as a beginner if you choose to have the hunting experience through a video game.

Even if hunting is something you are not really into, these video games are still a fun way to pass your time and I am sure you won't be disappointed!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Videos Deleted and Restored by YouTube

YouTube deletes and then restores back Red Dead Redemption 2 controversial videos of killing feminist NPC.

Developer/publisher Rockstar Games didn't launch Western-themed action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 with intent of just riding horses and camping in the woods but it also involves a lot of rooting tooting cowboy shooting.

Since the in-game lead character Arthur Morgan is an outlaw, you expect him being involved in some activities during the gameplay that may not be pleasant but that is okay. However, it seems that YouTube wasn't so sure about it before it became a matter of concern.

Recently, YouTube took down a gaming channel known as Shirrako Gaming of 500,000  subscribers base for a gameplay video they uploaded earlier, claiming the content have broke their community guidelines by showing the player attacking a feminist NPC (Non-Player Character).

Titled "Annoying Feminist Fed To Alligator", the video depicts Arthur attacks a female suffragette before saddling her up on his horse and then feeding her to an alligator to take a chomp at her. He then stomped her with boots for a while afterwards.

Now such display of violence against suffragette woman NPC in RDR2 are often labeled online as attacks against feminists and these videos are quickly becoming very popular to a certain part of gaming community these days.

YouTube apparently couldn't tell real footage of violence from the ones taken from popular video game and took them down for breach of guidelines but these contents are only prohibited if they come under fire, which t didn't.

Shirrako Gaming promptly took Twitter to address the takedown of his channel by the video-sharing website for promoting violence by killing a female NPC.

Immediately after the ban, a massive fan-outcry followed over the deletion move by the site and upon realizing their mistake, the action is reviewed again and the channel was eventually restored the following day with all videos.

Seeing the matter going out of hands, the company's wider gaming team handled the situation and YouTube's head of gaming, Ryan Wyatt confirmed that they will educate the reviewers from repeating such mistakes in future to avoid such inconvenience.

Here is the video in question that created the so called feminist controversy on YouTube regarding the game.

Now that the air is clear once again, people are hitting search for Red Dead Redemption 2 videos where women's rights activists are getting punched in the face, run over by trains or even thrown into mine shafts in the Wild West.

However, these controversial video clips are now restricted only to audience above 18 years of age and that clearly makes sense. Hopefully, the misogynistic attitude towards outspoken feminists within a game is not going to be the subject of their concern anymore.

However, this sell-in figure means that there are numbers included for physical copies that are already shipped to retailers but yet not obtained by customers. No matter which way you want to look at it, that is an extremely impressive number in just 12 days after launch.

This narrative open-world game debuted with the biggest opening weekend by earning over $725 million in just three days and then outsold the eight years of overall sales of original Red Dead Redemption in just eight days.

Even Take-Two and Rockstar Games have admitted that Red Dead Redemption 2 has exceeded their expectation by crossing such landmark in so little time. Previously, only Grand Theft Auto V was able to pull such feat and ended up earning over $6 billion till date.

This insane level of success also comes with a much appreciated critical acclaim for RDR2, which has undoubtedly raised the bar for other games in general these days. Although there are reports of a few bugs but Rockstar is working to provide a fix soon.

Despite the presence of code parameters that clearly points out PC references and frame limit, some are pointing this out as a possibility for a future desktop app for the game. Then again, that doesn't really explain the mentions of Oculus Rift.

RDR2 is already is the most-anticipated game of the year that is taking over by keeping players busy on their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Many experts are even speculating that the game might end up selling 20 million units by the end of this year.

Even though, Rockstar didn't launch the first game, Red Dead Redemption on PC after eight years of its initial release or the Red Dead Revolver from 2004, they might want to reconsider this time and cash in on the trending hype of the game.

Besides, the company does have a history of making surprise PC releases as they did with Grand Theft Auto V, denying all possibly and reports of PC port but ended up releasing one eventually after two years of the original release.

However, taking into account that the Red Dead series may remain as a console-exclusive since neither Red Dead Revolver nor Red Dead Redemption has made it to the platform, long after exceeding the time GTA5 took but we never know that for sure.

Rockstar Games never gone on record by officially stating that there won't be a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version ever and therefore leaving possibilities for us. They might as well break the trend and release the game for high-end PC with impressive graphics.

Somewhere down the line, players may really get their wish fulfilled by them but till then, be thankful that this masterpiece of a game came out after all these years and keep enjoying it on consoles or on YouTube (if you don't own a console).

Will Red Dead Redemption 2 Be on PC?

Those who aren't playing the game on PS4 and Xbox One this week are wondering if Red Dead Redemption 2 going to be released on PC?

As soon as developer/publisher Rockstar Games released their most anticipated Western-themed action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Friday, people are taking sick leaves and ditching plans to spend time with it.

Those who aren't, are busy wondering if the biggest game of 2018 is ever going to be released on PC? This has been the most asked question about RDR2 so far and we couldn't help ourselves but wonder if there is any possibility of that?

For now, the answer would be, no. However, we cannot just brush off any possibilities for that to happen without getting any official statement from Rockstar yet. Pleading from players for a PC version of their game is nothing new and not like something the world didn't saw before.

When Red Dead Redemption came out in 2010 as the previous installment of the series (but the story of RDR2 takes place earlier), outcries from fans for a PC version of the game was heard but the studio didn't do anything in over eight years.

Besides, playing these games on PC has their own perks and one of the biggest one of them are the usage of mods. The company stated that making a PC compatible version was never part of their plan but they can consider it in the future when it will be technically and business-wise viable for them.

Rumors were heard about PC release earlier but other than a leaked retail listings and a LinkedIn resume, we have nothing. It seems that Rockstar Games is still unfazed by the craze for a PC version of their game but that doesn't necessarily mean that they won't ever do that.

In past, the studio released their greatest hit game Grand Theft Auto V in 2013, solely for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A year after, it came out for PS4 and Xbox One before the PC port was finally released six months later.

In case of their neo-noir detective action-adventure title L.A. Noire, Rockstar prioritized the console versions as well. Nevertheless, the comparison between the delays of GTA5 for PC release against an eight year of reluctance is obviously ridiculous.

The developers definitely put their best efforts on the game as the visuals look chiseled and absolutely stunning on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles. Aside from next level graphics, RDR2 performs even better on these platforms than their standard versions.

This is another reason for that entire PC outcry because the graphical superiority of the platform and the smooth gameplay of 60 FPS, which even has its own line of jokes and memes. Bottom line is, unless Rockstar Games officially announces Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC, fans can do nothing but hope for it.
