RAGE 2 Extended Gameplay Demo

To show-off more action from RAGE 2, Bethesda released an extended gameplay demo at QuakeCon 2018.

Before the game could get officially announced by publisher Bethesda Softworks at E3 2018 press conference, news of upcoming first-person shooter RAGE 2 was leaked by a product listing of Walmart Canada a few weeks ago. What followed next was some funny banter thrown at them by Bethesda’s Pete Hines and new gameplay trailer from E3 revealed that it clearly steps ahead of its predecessor. To offer more details, an extended playthrough clip of the game is released today.

Ravaged by an asteroid that hit the planet three decades ago, Earth is slowly recovering and instead of Nicholas Raine, a new protagonist named Walker enters the scene. While playing, you will come across members of savage goon squad, elite bandits' group and a clan of mutants, all of which are equipped with unique gear and destructive firepower to cause havoc on a larger scale. These fractions are situated in different part of the map and will fight you differently in their own way.

We noticed that the sequel is set apart from many elements of the original game, probably because it received some backlash then. However, the world we will return to is still pretty violent and everything is way too vibrant colors. Vehicle and weapons play a great deal whether in facing unwary enemies or engaging into crazy boss fights. Combat system is made more fluid and fast paced as an improvement to Rage. In fact, the game takes inspiration for aggression from Wolfenstein II.

RAGE 2 is developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software, which currently is set to release on spring 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. One thing that has blessed the game so much is the collaboration of two studios, where Avalanche Studios used their skills in building a vast open-world and id Software provided their experience with immensely popular FPS titles like Doom. We can already tell that this action-packed game with a Mad Max-esque theme would turn out great.

Doom Eternal Comes to Nintendo Switch

This only intensifies the excitement of the overjoyed fans and Switch owners a thousand fold with the thought of carrying "Hell on Earth" anywhere they go ad enjoy some good time slaying demons.

We sure appreciate their enthusiasm for the herculean task.

We are not sure if newly introduced features as taking control of demons and send them to sabotage another player’s campaign will be part of the port or not but that melee blade weapon or a mounted flamethrower on shoulder of Doom Slayer and a ton more new awesome guns included in the sequel alone will keep the fun intact. Plus, the change of surroundings brings a fresh vibe that gives you a feel of being at home or maybe whatever left of it after a demonic invasion.

Before Doom arriving on Switch in late 2017 the franchise has mostly been absent from Nintendo platforms and now its worthy successor is apparently going to follow the same path as well. Releasing the game right away with other platforms is quite a big deal since it is going to be one of the biggest upcoming hits. Announced back at E3 2018 press conference, Doom Eternal only revealed as much as a short teaser of Doomguy stepping over to take on an oncoming horde on Earth.

The first gameplay reveal for Doom Eternal is shown in QuakeCon 2018 and it has some badass action to blow your mind.

Making an astounding reveal back at E3 2018 press conference, Doom Eternal came to light as the long-anticipated sequel to first-person action shooter game DOOM from 2026 by developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks. Series protagonist Doomguy has returned from his mission on Mars but his work is far from over, because demons are invading on this planet and has completely overrun it. Bethesda has just released a new reveal stream of the game at QuakeCon 2018.

The trailer starts with a first-person perspective of DOOM Marine, who takes the helmet of his Praetor Suit in his hand and then wears it as his system is activated. He checks out his side-arm knife and loads his iconic double barreled shotgun before going into demon slaying action. He goes further to see outside from a tall building that Hell has been unleashed on Earth and demons are everywhere. Doom Slayer begins his ruthless onslaught on a nearby horde of demonic minions.

Alongside some new arsenal at the disposal of our hero, he will be facing some new menacing enemies as well. Even the Praetor Suit he wears received some upgrade and revision to make him more deadly. Classic enemies like Arachnotron, Mancubus, Pain elemental and Zombieman are re-created to treat the fans. Developers have worked hard on how your gunshot, kicks, punch, stabs or tearing them out will display on screen as gorier than ever. Also, have you noticed the gun with grappling hook?

Doom Eternal E3 Teaser

Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference gave the devil its due by unveiling Doom Eternal, a sequel to 2016's rebooted title.

Many eager gamers have been waiting for a sequel to the best first-person shooter games ever made and we are talking about none other than 2016's Doom game from the newly rebooted series by developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks. Eventually, the upcoming title from the franchise titled Doom Eternal was announced today by Bethesda during their E3 2018 conference and for starters, we have a brand-new teaser that is full of breath-taking action.

As the teaser opens, what we can see is that a backdrop which does not seem like Mars but resembles much to Earth. Buildings are on fire, freakish creatures and monstrosities like Revenants are wandering around while the camera goes forward through debris. It's definitely Earth and demons from Hell has taken over and running rampant. We see a skull belonging to Baron of Hell, which is crushed by Doomguy only to face a horde of demons while he loads a double-barreled shotgun.

Back in April, Pete Hines of Bethesda cryptically hinted that Doom 2 may be announced at E3 2018 during an event at PAX East, so this doesn't come as a surprise to us. Reboot of Doom in 2016 was a re-imagining of the original game and most probably, the sequel will follow the second one, Doom II: Hell on Earth. Although there is no mention of "Hell on Earth" anywhere in upcoming sequel's title, the entire settings of demons reigning on Earth seem pretty reminiscent of that phrase.

RELATED: Doom's Nintendo Switch Release Date

Doom Eternal is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but we don't have a release date in hand right now. Even though we haven't seen any new enemies yet, that cool shotgun is a hint that there will be new weapons. A gameplay live-stream will be held on August 10 during QuakeCon 2018 and we can certainly hope to get more details on the story as well as gameplay for sure. If they can keep up to the expectation of players and maintain excellence, the sequel could also be a critical and commercial success.

RAGE 2 Official Gameplay Trailer

The official gameplay trailer for first-person shooter Rage 2 from Bethesda showing off intense apocalyptic mayhem.

We had a lot going on at this point with upcoming first-person shooter RAGE 2 from id Software and Bethesda Softworks. First there was a Walmart listing which leaked that the game is in development, then the announcement trailer got leaked online and they eventually released it after taking down the leaked one. The first live-action trailer didn't give away much except for the type of tone the game will adapt and announced that they will drop a gameplay reveal trailer today!

Just as they said yesterday, the official gameplay trailer is finally here. If you expected it to be intense and feral, then you guessed it right.

RELATED: RAGE 2 Confirmed by Leaked Teaser

With this trailer, we are back on the wasteland but not quite the one from the first game but something that looks similar to Mad Max. The protagonist is the last remaining Ranger named Walker and not U.S. Marine Nicholas Raine this time. Into the vastness of empty desert and concrete jungle, you will go through hordes of uncivilized goons to reach your primary goal of ensuring the downfall of The Authority. Since your character has been robbed off everything he owned, he shouldn't have any problem to follow that agenda.

RELATED: Wolfenstein II Nintendo Switch Release Date

Although it was solely a gameplay trailer, we got a good chunk of back-story as well, which is mostly vague and typical for such type of game. They really have made the gameplay better this time as you can see in the clip above. Whether it is some mohawk sporting skinny punks or hulking mutant enemies, shooting at them mercilessly is sure looks fun. The visuals are improved as well as a bigger open world is for players to roam through. On top of these, there is that damn pink color almost everywhere!

Currently, action shooter RAGE 2 is planning to release on 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The original RAGE came out in 2011 and after six long years, developer id Software is bringing the franchise back along with Avalanche Studios. Bethesda probably have had plans to release these trailer to E3 2018 or at least not just now but thanks to all these recent leaks, the publisher have had enough and straight out dropped it out of the box.

RAGE 2 Officially Announced

It was only last week, when a Walmart’s listing leak lead to the news that sequel to 2011's first-person shooter from id Software and Bethesda Softworks is actually happening. Instead of shooting down the idea, they playfully trolled back at Walmart Canada by offering notes to improve design efforts on their placeholder listings. Then they started posting teaser image that clearly said RAGE 2 is coming until the reveal trailer got leaked as well just before the official release and now we are here.

The live-action cinematic trailer showcases a newly revamped world of RAGE 2 without hinting any clue about the game's plot.

The trailer looks like a hybrid clone made out of Mad Max: Fury Road movie and Borderlands game. Of course it officially confirms that we sure are getting a sequel to RAGE but at this point there was very little to not know about that. At first thanks to that Walmart listing, then Bethesda decides to be a sport by teasing for a few days on social media and then the leaked clip has done it all. Still, the official clip is a bit longer than the one which was leaked earlier but later taken down from YouTube.

If not all but many fans who waited for official confirmation for this project may have expected what they just saw, because a couple of punk-ass dancing and jumping around with big-guns amidst a confusing, pink atmosphere doesn't remind them of anything from the first game of the series. Since RAGE was developed to showcase their new game engine, perhaps the developer and publisher agreed upon going for a soft-reboot approach with this one like they did with Doom, Prey and Wolfenstein II.

If they are truly aiming for a revamp as the changes suggest, it may even turn out to be successful considering their previous track record. E3 2018 is due for next month and we already halfway through May, 2018, so by then we can definitely wait for a full-length trailer to delve deeper into the game's plot maybe! In the trailer's closing card, they mentioned that a gameplay reveal will take place tomorrow, May 15.

RAGE 2 Confirmed by Leaked Teaser

Earlier before the release of official teaser trailer for first-person shooter RAGE 2, Bethesda suffered another leak on the internet.

Back in 2011, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks came up with a first-person shooter RAGE, which was set on a post-apocalyptic world like the one we saw in Mad Max. The game was very well received by both fans and critics, so it would be pretty natural if fans want a sequel of the game after six years, right? For the past few days, we witnessed a number of leaks from Walmart listings, their publisher has been hinting about it and now a teaser for RAGE 2 is leaked.

People already got interested when a leaked Walmart listing has showed RAGE 2 as an upcoming release. Bethesda neither denied, nor confirmed about the authenticity of the news but decided to troll Walmart Canada with the official Twitter account of the game. Although, they have been teasing everyone by dropping images from the game for some time now and even subtly revealed the date for teaser trailer, it eventually got leaked on the internet somehow before they could officially release it.

RELATED: Doom 2 May Be Announced at E3 2018

The version that was uploaded to YouTube has since been taken down for obvious reasons but Twitter user @Wario64 managed to make an animated GIF version of the clip posted along with his Tweet. Looks like the wasteland is into the color pink now as every other maniacal punk is either coloring their hair pink or spraying it everywhere. We still not sure why! Hope to find it out very soon. Other than that, it was a mad, mad world already on the original title and sequel should be more than that.

RELATED: Dishonored: Death of the Outsider for Xbox One X

So far, we do not know yet that what platforms are it going to be available for or when is it due for release, clearly because all these leaks are a bit disturbing. No story or anything that seems like a gameplay was also absent from the video as it was meant to just tease us and the publisher is going to drop an official announcement later today anyway. So, we will not have to wait too long for finding out more.

Doom 2 May Be Announced at E3 2018

The gates of Hell are probably going to open on Mars soon again as publisher Bethesda Softworks has teased us so. We are talking about one of the best first-person shooter games ever made and expecting an announcement for a sequel to 2016's Doom from the newly rebooted franchise. If we got the indication right according to a studio executive from Bethesda, then Doom 2 will be announced at E3 2018. In that case, we should be prepared to deal with hell demons on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Back in 1993, Doom introduced us to the madness of first-person shooter games and took players on a roller costar ride to Hell and beyond. After the original, a sequel, Doom II followed next year and Doom 3 came out a decade later. We even received a live-action Doom movie featuring Hollywood superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Baywatch, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). However, that one failed miserably and entire series took a reboot with 2016's Doom game, which reinvented the franchise.

Lately, Pete Hines, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Bethesda Softworks was present in an event at PAX East and in an interview he was asked what they are planning for the latter half of 2018. In response, he said:

“I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited."
Though he did not mention the word "Doom" or "Sequel" a single time but fans of the series may have already realized what went down there. For those who are still trying to figure out what was in Hines’ comments, we suggest you to focus on his mention of "Hell on Earth". The actual sequel of the first game was titled "Doom II: Hell on Earth", which place on Earth as demons from Hell have laid an invasion. That brings our hero Doomguy back in action to save our planet as well as mankind.

Originally debuted on MS-DOS, Hell on Earth was an overall improvement on everything its predecessor was and became a best-selling title upon release. If Bethesda is actually teasing that title and can do things right like they did on reboot of Doom in 2016, we are waiting for another potential critical and commercial success ahead of time. Right now, Bethesda is probably prioritizing this one because E3 2018 is nearing. Besides, they also announced Wolfenstein II and The Evil Within 2 at last year's E3.

Doom 4K Update

Pretty sure whether you are just an average first person shooter fan or a Doom lover, you would definitely appreciate the sadistic enjoyment of slaying demons on Mars. We had to give it to developer id Software to team up with publisher Bethesda Softworks to rejuvenate the fan-favorite Doom series with 2016's release of the same name. With their regular series of updates, they are keeping the game fresh and the newest update should make console fans happy because Doom will now support 4K!

Yes, that's right. This is an age of upgraded graphics and since we are living in a time when world's most powerful video game consoles are available to experience some of the finest visuals, we should feast our eyes. The newest update dated for March 29, heading towards the game will allow people to enjoy 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. This is only fitting that Doom is finally adding cutting-edge graphics display to their fast-paced shooting title.

We have a short display of how it would feel to chop off the heads of demons from Hell in this new gameplay trailer.

The core fun of brutally massacring the demon hordes of Hell is now intensified a few folds. Those BFG blasts you shoot will be felt like never before and so the fun of slicing chainsaw through your enemy heads will be uncomfortably satisfying. The 4K resolution patch is only exclusive for the above mentioned platforms as the other consoles do not support higher caliber of graphics superiority like them.

Doom on Switch Adds Motion Controls

If first-person shooter game Doom from id Software has taught us anything that would be blasting off demons is never a boring chore. People who want to have this simple enjoyment on-the-go have sought to the Nintendo Switch version of the game when this demon-slaying fest debuted on the platform. With a newly released update, Doom has added "Motion Controls" for Switch console.

Ever since the game is ported to Switch, people have been asking about "Motion Aiming" using the built-in gyroscope of the Joy-Con to let them aim more accurately. The traditional aiming with the analog stick of the controller is still there but mixing the two options at hand, you can play the game with more precise control. Courtesy of 1.1.1 patch, you can find the "Motion Aiming" option under the setting menu for Controller.

Aiming at your enemies with the game stick can be a bit painful and tough when there are massive oncoming hordes on your way to overwhelm you. So, without any mention of the most-requested feature, Bethesda just added it to the menu so that you can aim better with a simple tilt of the console. Perhaps, they had it planned all along and saw the release of this new patch a nice way to let people have some more fun. Players who gave it a shot claim that, this new update definitely increases game's performance for them.

The brand-new patch also comes with support for multiplayer fans as a new party system is now part of Doom's multiplayer. This is a great way to gather your friends and troops online to join the monster slaying fest on Hell. A new Game Icon will now appear below the main menu of Nintendo Switch, just like the one you saw on the game's boxart. Besides, apart from Motion Controls and Party Support, the patch offers a few minor fixes to improve the experience, which includes some audio issues too.

It doesn't take for a genius to know that in a first-person shooter game, you always got to keep moving as it is the key-part of your survival. Doom VFR is no different in this case as well. Plus, if you are using your trusty PS VR Aim controller, the accuracy of your aim to kill will give you some great demon-slaying satisfaction. Oh, there are five unique weapon mods to blow up those fiends back to the depth of Hell they came from.

Doom VFR is already out compatible with PlayStation VR and HTC Vive headsets for players to enjoy worldwide. While some might think that the game probably is just a VR version of the 2016's title it is actually much more than that. This one is a carefully crafted version to outfit the strength and weaknesses of VR and it's really worth your interest.

Doom's Nintendo Switch Release Date

Bethesda Softworks have previously announced to bring The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch in June, 2017 and Switch owners were jumping with joy to have this great title on their port. Then, after a few days, it becomes clear that the developer studio is actually up to port a lot of their fan-favorite titles to Switch eventually. Major game titles like Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was included in that list. Hopefully other popular titles like Dishonored and The Evil Within will join the race in the future too.

We promised that if there was any further development regarding this matter, we will update you and here we are with an interview clip that features executive producer Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin from id Software talking about Doom's Nintendo Switch debut.

Recently, Bethesda has officially confirmed Doom's Nintendo Switch version release date and it is November 10, 2017. The gates of hell will open in North America and Europe on the same day. Given the limitations of the platform, the boys at id Soft tried their level best to put everything they could into the release to deliver the experience of the original Doom.

On Switch, Doom will mostly be like an arcade experience as the developers see it. Players on Nintendo Switch will get the entire single-player campaign. All of the difficulty modes will be there including the "Ultra Nightmare" mode where you play with a single life and can die from a single blow. There is the arcade mode, so that you can replay all the levels over and over. All the weapons and runes will be there for you but also there is always a clock ticking.

In multiplayer, the gameplay is fast-paced and quite competitive. There are 12 modes, along with 18 maps to explore and all the DLC packs will be there too. Team death-match or capture mode, you name it, it's there. Overall, without tuning anything done they really tried to bring all the actual features of the main game.

The people who already played Doom before and the one who are going to enjoy the game for the first time on Switch, it will be great experience for them both. Since, this is not a game which people can play for half an hour and then leave, Doom sure will provide you hours of monster slaying fun-moments that will make it worth.

So, check out this official video from Bethesda highlighting all the features of the update 6.66!

An intriguing part of the story is that, it is totally free. You can enjoy blasting away demons of hell at different levels (Level 1-2). The game campaign also comes with an amazing arcade mode where you can try out to beat your best record time after time. Not just that, you are also lavished with an unlimited access to Doom’s multiplayer and SnapMap mode, all the recent game fix, improved content, nine additional maps to explore and a great number of sophisticated armors for the players to enjoy.

Now, here is the real deal! Purchasing Doom during the free weekend comes with a jaw-dropping reduction in price. You can get the game for as low as $14.99 on the Xbox Store. The campaign is really worth it! However, if you have decided to purchase it later, all your earned achievements, campaign progress and multiplayer advancement will, surely, be there the next time you are ready to fight.

As you fight hordes of demons, remember to choose your weapon wisely, as each weapon has its uniqueness and works better in a different scenario. So, don't just choose our gun but choose wisely. Ranging from the grenade launcher, rapid fire reaper weapon, EMG Mark V, plasma rifle, assault rifle and many other weapons to have a great time as you enjoy your stay in hell.
