Doom Eternal Nintendo Switch Release Date

Nintendo Switch players finally gets a launch date for Doom Eternal, which is arriving early next month.

Confirmed during E3 2018 press conference, first-person action shooter game Doom Eternal is finally coming to Nintendo Switch consoles months after being released across Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

In a recent press release, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks has officially revealed a set release date for handheld version of Doom Eternal on December 8, 2020, which collects all original pre-order bonus contents.

Switch version of Doom Eternal will be available at Nintendo Switch eShop for digital download or at select retailers near you since there are no plans for a physical cartridge edition and takes up approximately 18.8 GB of storage space.

Bethesda has long been silent regarding development update of Switch version and id Software executive producer Marty Stratton later assured at PAX Online x EGX Digital that Panic Button is still working on a port for Nintendo console.

Players who received a notice their Doom Eternal pre-purchase being cancelled are requested to contact retailers. Pre-order bonus "Rip & Tear" pack can be downloaded at Nintendo eShop and a Doom 64 code will be sent via e-mail.

Bethesda will reveal launch details of Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One DLC campaign for Nintendo Switch on a later date. It could also be that Nintendo is planning to release both story expansions bundled together at once.
