Doom Eternal: Update 4 Live Now

Reigning through depths of Hell since early 2020, first-person shooter game Doom Eternal from developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks is getting brand-new content update and live events to celebrate Christmas.

Update 4 is live now for Eternal base campaign and The Ancient Gods – Part One DLC, featuring backwards compatibility, cosmetics rewards, new Master Level mode, improvements to max resolution, and more, free to all players.

Latest gameplay trailer of Doom Eternal highlights a new Master Level and notable additions to Update 4.

Master Level will deliver a unique combat encounter on Super Gore Nest by spawning different demons on existing levels. id Soft has built this from the ground up for a gameplay experience to test your mettle with various challenges.

Players will receive various cosmetic rewards for completing Master Level using a new difficulty or mode each time. Once all these challenges are eventually cleared, you get access to unlock Gold Combat Shotgun skin as a grand prize.

Super Gore Nest also introduces a brand-new Classic Mode, which takes heavy inspiration from original Doom (1993). Armed only with a Combat Shotgun, you slowly build up a weapons cache to ultimately earn Classic Green Slayer skin.

Slayers can try out Ultra Nightmare mode in new Master Level to go through brutal test of skills. Also, take a little bit of help from newly added extra-life difficulty and set higher goals but it will be permadeath once they come to an end.

Doom Eternal is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC along with all improvements and updates on December 3, 2020. Update 4 brings holiday-themed Gift Wrap and Tear event and offers free icy skins, starting from December 10, 2020.

Doom Eternal: Update 4 is currently available to download on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Players across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S next-gen systems can play it as well using backwards compatibility.
