Doom Eternal First DLC Teased

id Software teases to explore next chapter of Doom Eternal in upcoming story DLC expansion in newly revealed images.

Without falling short on fan-expectation, first-person shooter game Doom Eternal from developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks has made its debut on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in March.

id Software knows pretty well that Doom fans are always up for some hardcore demon-slaying action and therefore, has offered a glimpse at upcoming first campaign DLC with two brand-new images, featuring new locations.

Following a massive success of Doom reboot in 2016, iconic series protagonist Doom Slayer returns for a sequel that has a more lore-focused story campaign mode with new tools to reap and tear through demonic forces of Hell.

This sudden reveal came ahead of an update that adds new content and optimizations for base game. Latest patch will introduce Empowered Demons into single-player experience and Echelon Leveling for max level players in Battlemode.

On Twitter, official account for Doom game has teased players with two screenshots from DLC campaign.

One of recently released screenshots shows a site that looks a lot like Maykr world and the second one seems to be a colossal oil rig. Aside from these images, there is not much to go on and decipher about Doom Eternal DLC for now.

However, a description from Year One Pass content suggests of a new enemy from another realm and more wave of demons. So, have your chainsaw ready and super shotgun reloaded in anticipation of a violent confrontation.

Given how well Eternal was received on all platforms, people will surely be excited to enjoy some more slaughterfest with Doomguy in a DLC and developers will hopefully be revealing more information than just a tease soon.

Available for pre-order now, Doom Eternal Year One Pass includes two DLC expansions and one of them will be arriving in 2020. id Soft is currently working on a Nintendo Switch version of the game that has yet to reveal a release date.
