Remnant: From the Ashes Adds Hardcore Update

Gunfire Games adds a permadeath option though latest Hardcore update for Remnant: From the Ashes.

To keep up with a growing number of player communities, third person action role-playing shooter Remnant: From the Ashes has been frequently releasing a series of free content updates since its release back in August 2019.

Recently, developer Gunfire Games and publisher Perfect World Entertainment addresses one of the most requested features in a latest patch by introducing Hardcore mode on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Known to most fans as Dark Souls with guns for its difficulty levels, Remnant has become more challenging that it already was. It adds permadeath to characters, which means they have only one life and are dead for real when they die.

Hardcore mode can be activated when creating a new character and they are only good as long as they are alive. When you are playing online, only other Hardcore characters with an invite can join and there is no random matchmaking.

Fortune favors the bold and there are considerable rewards for facing off perilous challenges. You can acquire six new powerful rings by defeating Hardcore World Boss that is accessible to all modes and one more to complete the game.

Latest game mode is just one part of their entire offering such as emotes and quality of life improvements. Survivors can communicate through a Comms wheel to request for ammo, direction or even return to a World Stone.

Following recent inclusion of Adventure Mode and Leto's Lab, more post-launch free content are being planned by Gunfire Games. Current roadmap for future has some larger updates in development for improved experience.

Remnant: From the Ashes has added permadeath option just to raise the stakes for its players a bit higher than it is and make things interesting in a way unlike many other classic arcade titles since you can still relish some rewards after death.

Opening scene shows a large door to some sort of secret facility is being breached and Cliff is seen trying to save his Bridge Baby. Despite his best efforts, he eventually is discovered and fought till his last moment against all odds.

He probably was working on a top-secret project regarding teleportation that was going to be hijacked either by government or any private organization. In a desperate attempt to save his work, he must have accidentally accessed Hades.

It is highly likely, that opening of a portal to an alternate dimension has lead otherworldly beings known as "Beached Things" into this world, ushering an extinction-level that has decimated life and forcing society to collapse.

In an attempt to reconnect United Cities of America under a single Chiral Network, Amelie and her organization Bridges were working. She was taken hostage by "Homo Demons" and deliveryman Sam Porter Bridges is tasked to bring her back.

Sam primarily comes to conflict with their leader Higgs and eventually stands opposing Cliff at one point. While dealing with human enemies like members of MULE, he befriends a survivor named Fragile who would become a great ally.

In a quick roll, almost all of main characters are seen shedding tears at some point of their lives in-game. Aside from usual BTs, a flying whale-like creature called Extinction entity is shown dropping corpses covered in black liquid as it flies by.

The game features a prominent cast of Hollywood actors like Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead) and Troy Baker (Mortal Kombat X, Resident Evil 6) in lead roles.

Death Stranding is all set to arrive on PS4 next month and is no longer a console exclusive title since Kojima Productions recently announced to release it for PC platform on early 2020, teaming up with publisher 505 Games.

After years of hiding in shadows, Cal was ousted to Empire when he is caught saving his friend using the Force and became a target for Second Sister. He found a new ally in Cere Junda, who becomes a mentor figure to him and guides him through.

Despite many players are still hesitant to trust EA because of their past attempt to include loot boxes and pay-to-win mechanics in Star Wars Battlefront II back in 2017, Respawn has worked really hard to deliver a great Star Wars game for fans.

Electronic Arts can finally win over fans with release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order next month as it has every potential to become a great single-player experience that players has been asking for years, minus any shoddy micro-transactions.

EA Games Returning to Steam

EA games are finally coming back to Steam, with titles like Jedi: Fallen Order and EA Access subscription service.

Only days ago, video game publisher company Electronic Arts has posted photo of a steaming coffee mug on Twitter, which at first glance doesn't mean much and is easily missable but PC gamers assumed this to be a major tease.

With everyone has been speculating that EA may be returning to Steam after all and today, it is finally revealed that they are coming back to digital distribution platform of Valve Corporation eight years after their initial departure.

EA has officially announced partnership with Valve to bring their games to Steam for players on PC platform. This affiliation will bring back some of their popular titles as well as monthly distribution service to a new audience.

To kick-off an exciting lineup, upcoming anticipated title Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has already debuted on Steam and available for pre-order. Soon, Sims 4 and Unravel Two will join before 2019 ends with more to come next year.

More multiplayer games like Apex Legends, Battlefield V and FIFA 20 will arrive next year that previously were available on Origin Access. On spring 2020, their partnership will bring EA Access subscription program to Steam.

By spending $4.99 only a month or $29.99 for a year, players would get unlimited access to games from The Vault, early trials, exclusive discounts, expansions and special in-game rewards for their EA Access membership via Steam.

Back in 2014, EA Access was revealed for Xbox One before coming to PC as Origin Access and now is out on PlayStation 4 platform too. Though they were doing okay, it probably has failed to gain as much traction as EA expected.

This huge power move from Electronic Arts and Valve will surely benefit developers and players from PC gaming community while work on to improve their company image to public in an age of competitive marketplace.

WWE Games to Release Patch for Broken State of WWE 2K20

Following major backlash from fans over major issues, WWE Games announces to release patch for WWE 2K20.

Latest installment of professional wrestling video game WWE 2K20 has debuted to harsh criticism of fans over digital outlets and social media due to its annoying glitches, poor graphics and many other performance issues at launch.

Whereas it is fairly common for sports games to have some bugs to begin with, 2K20 took it to another level where it is considered a stinky mess and eventually game publisher had to come out promising a patch to resolve those issues.

Within next two weeks, developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports will roll out a patch that will resolve some major issues. However, this promise means almost nothing to day-one customers or those who pre-ordered.

2K Games simply couldn't delay WWE 2K20 for two weeks probably because of their contractual obligations but that still is no excuse to sell a full-priced game in a beta state and some has paid even more for special editions.

RELATED: Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest Halloween Event Live Now

WWE Games have acknowledged current broken state of 2K20 and promised a patch in a latest statement on Twitter.

RELATED: The Last of Us Part 2 Delayed to May 2020

A significant drop of graphics quality was noticed in early preview footage after departure of longtime Japanese developer Yuke’s, who has been working on WWE game series since 2000 and Visual Concepts took over development this year.

Their work in 2K20 has met with brutal reviews for delivering a product full of bugs and in a broken state. There are so many problems with almost every feature that it would require more than a single patch to deal with them all.

RELATED: NBA 2K20 Review-Bombed on Metacritic and Steam

People are also concerned whether publisher is willing to put that much effort to bring 2K20 in a working state since the game is part of WWE 2K annual series and 2K Games is most likely to start focusing on their next title by now.

Considering how developer Visual Concepts has already messed up twice in a year with NBA 2K20 first and WWE 2K20, it is really time for 2K to reconsider whether they should trust the studio with more of their sports titles in future.
