Civilization 6 Coming to Nintendo Switch

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is announced by 2K Games for Nintendo Switch and it is releasing in two months.

The latest installment from turn-based strategy game Civilization series from developer Firaxis Games and publisher 2K Games came out in 2016 for iOS, Linux, Mac and PC. Now, two years later from original release, Civilization VI is headed towards Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018 with updates and improvements added to the port.

The Switch version will also include four new playable scenarios based on various events from history according to their official website.

The newly introduced four scenarios will feature Australia pack, Persia and Macedon pack, Poland pack and Vikings pack throughout "Outback Tycoon", "Conquests of Alexander", "Jadwiga's Legacy" and "Vikings, Raiders, and Traders" respectively.

You can choose to lead as Cleopatra of Egypt, Frederic Barbarossa of Germany or even Qin Shi Huang of China among 24 different leaders to choose from. The port allows up to four players to join in a co-op local multiplayer.

Civilization VI has a very positive review from critics in overall to start with and porting the game to Nintendo's next gen handheld console Switch is probably one of the best things that are going to happen to the franchise.

Aside from the few rough edges the game has in it, the strategic depth will keep you engaged to the engaging experience. An expansion, Rise and Fall was also released back in February this year, which was accepted as a worthy companion to the base game as well.
