Dead by Daylight
In a 1v4 online multiplayer mode, players are put in a Friday the 13th-esque survival horror atmosphere to survive from a savage Killer and are constantly on run for their lives by trying to save their own skin by evading their dreaded pursuer.

With each playthrough, your surrounding environment will change and it is harder to survive or avoid being getting caught than it seems at first. Survivors must work together repairing found disabled generators to exit trial grounds in time.

Metal Gear Survive
Ditching its typical action-adventure stealth elements, developer/publisher Konami has taken an action-adventure survival gameplay approach for their newest Metal Gear release upon departure of franchise creator Hideo Kojima.

Between events of Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, a wormhole takes player character, a MSF soldier to a parallel dimension to craft, explore, scavenge and survive in an unfriendly environment against zombie-like creatures.

Superhot
Here comes an unorthodox first-person shooter title that follows general aspects of any other FPS but only progresses when player moves, which includes some strategy elements since it allows people to assess their surrounding and then react.

Based upon a very a minimalist type design style by portraying enemies and weapons in red and black respectively, Superhot clearly takes a very innovative take on regular shooter genre and brings about a low-key Matrix experience.

Void Bastards
This one perhaps is the weirdest shooting game you would come across of recent times and it also make you come up with some strategy instead of blatantly shooting anything that moves within derelict spaceships or threaten you.

Instead of being very fancy with its graphics, developers Blue Manchu focused on a framework that puts player on a quest to lead the band of Void Bastards out of Sargasso Nebula and be very thoughtful about how they decide to do that.
