Dead Cells: The Bad Seed DLC Release Date

Motion Twin to release first-ever paid DLC expansion for Dead Cells titled The Bad Seed on February 11.

In response to overwhelming positive reception and universal acclaim, developer/publisher Motion Twin has offered players of 2018 roguelike metroidvania game Dead Cells a number of free content updates since its release.

In December 2019, Motion Twin announced the game's first-ever paid DLC expansion The Bad Seed for Q1 2020, which is now scheduled to arrive for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 11, 2020.

A brand-new gameplay trailer for Dead Cells: The Bad Seed is also released to offer a glimpse of what is coming.

Priced for $4.99 only, upcoming DLC will introduce two new levels to play through; The Arboretum and The Swamp. You will be unlocking new abilities and a bunch of cool weapons while exploring these new territories.

Some newly added enemy type will be joining alongside older ones and there will be a creepy boss fight at the end. In terms of difficulty level, it will give you a tough time on par with The Concierge boss from original base game.

Also, players who would love to get nostalgic and enjoy early versions of the game can now do so following release of The Legacy Update. This patch will easily allow you go back from any recent phase to even Early Access build.

Evil Empire and Motion Twin looks forward to support continued development of Dead Cells with its first paid DLC pack. Instead of making change to ending, new biomes will be added to main game via The Bad Seed content expansion.
