The Outer Worlds Coming to Steam

Following release of Windows PC version on Epic Games Store last year, The Outer Worlds is finally coming to Steam.

A quirky successor to Fallout series, action role-playing game The Outer Worlds from developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Private Division just released its first campaign expansion pack, Peril on Gorgon DLC back in September.

Since launch, Windows PC version of TOW has been an exclusive to Epic Games Store and after ending a year-long exclusivity; Obsidian is finally bringing acclaimed 2018 sci-fi adventure to Steam later this month on October 23, 2020.

The Outer Worlds Coming to Steam

TOW official Twitter account has recently shared announcement of its upcoming Steam release date across social media. The Outer Worlds base game and Peril on Gorgon DLC expansion will both be available on Valve platform at launch.

When it was initially revealed that TOW will be a platform exclusive to Epic Store for a year, it made majority of fans on PC upset. Epic Games continues to make exclusivity deals till date to establish their digital storefront in marketplace.

Though managed to exceed expectation of publisher parent company Take-Two Interactive by selling more than 2 million copies within early months, The Outer Worlds has yet to reach full potential for sales unless it arrives on Steam.

The Outer Worlds made its debut on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, followed by a Nintendo Switch launch on June 2020. A second expansion for TOW titled Murder on Eridanos is currently planned for first quarter of 2021.
