Earlier last month, primary cast members for upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot has officially been revealed, which is helmed by director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, Roadkill) and is scheduled to release at some point in 2021.

Based on popular survival horror games by developer/publisher Capcom, shooing for Resident Evil film is currently ongoing at Ontario, Canada and visitors got a sneak peek at major location from set, which gets shared on social media.


Though there is not much official news regarding production progress of rebooted Resident Evil movie, fans were still able to get near shooting area and capture images of known Resident Evil 2 location, Raccoon City Police Department.

Latest set photos posted on Twitter reveals several set pieces that look awfully similar to R.P.D. building, which is a primary location heavily infested with zombies and other monsters where story premise for Resident Evil 2 takes place.


A number of users on Twitter have posted similar photos of Raccoon City Police Department building entrance.



Photos are circling around online are a police car that belongs to Raccoon Police Department and Gun Shop Kendo. Production unit surely is maintaining accuracy of in-game elements while paying maximum attention to possible detail.

Another video clip of a gasoline truck running down at Sudbury suggests that crews are trying to recreate the thrilling opening scene of RE2 remake for Resident Evil movie reboot and even matched colors of shown 18-wheeler big rig.

Roberts will be working on a script by screenwriter Greg Russo, based on first two games that will be an origin story. He wishes to portray a terrifying experience he had playing these games on screen by getting back to franchise roots.

Resident Evil movie reboot is likely to get a 2021 release date by Sony Pictures and Constantin Film soon. Hopefully there will be more information and images from set to go around before an official trailer gets launched in near future.
