FF7 Remake PS Plus Version Owners to Get PS5 Upgrade This Week

PlayStation Plus members who previously claimed PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake will receive PS5 upgrade this week.

FFVII Remake PS Plus Version Owners to Get PS5 Upgrade This Week

Originally launched as a PlayStation 4-exclusive, 2020 action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Remake by developer/publisher Square Enix received an enhanced version titled Intergrade for PlayStation 5 consoles earlier in June 2021.

Back in March, PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake was a free game on PlayStation Plus but it wasn't eligible for an upgrade. Square Enix recently announced to offer a PS5 upgrade this week to people who redeemed a copy on PS Plus.

FFVII Remake Intergrade includes a story expansion, Episode INTERmission DLC that introduces Yuffie Kisaragi as a playable character. Square Enix is currently offering a 25% off on PlayStation 5-exclusive add-on chapter for limited time.

Intergrade offers a free PlayStation 5 enhancement update for players who bought a PS4 copy of FFVIIR. If you bought it on PS Store already, you get access to INTERmission episode for free but last-gen owners will have to purchase it.

Last week, PC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade has been released by Square Enix, exclusively for Epic Games Store. It was harshly criticized by journalist Alex Battaglia, who called it worst AAA release for PC in very long time.

PlayStation 5 upgrade for PS Plus version of Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for PS4 consoles on December 22, 2021. FFVIIR: INTERmission DLC is usually priced at $19.99 only and therefore, 25% discount is a great deal.
