Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Fighters Leaked

Details of unannounced DLC fighters of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are leaked ahead of official announcement.

Crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from developer Bandai Namco Studios and publisher Nintendo has become the fastest-selling title on Nintendo Switch without any sign to slowing down on sales anytime soon and there is more to come.

Lately, data-miners dug into the source code of the game to find out what seems like new fighters roster, yet to be revealed officially in upcoming DLC. Although what they discovered appears to be some codename, fans were quick to find evidence to speculate on.

SSBU will include five brand-new downloadable fighters that would also be a part of "Fighters Pass". The first one of them was revealed to be Joker from Persona 5 at The Game Awards 2018 and the rest four remained unannounced.

Game director Masahiro Sakurai probably was to announce some of the rest during the next Nintendo Direct but the recent findings already has some strong hint for the identities of the unannounced fighters. Since they are still unconfirmed, we suggest you to take this with a grain of salt.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING MAY CONTAIN POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE.

Data-miner jam1garner has posted three code names of DLC characters found within game codes on Twitter that you can see below.

RELATED: Breath of the Wild Twitch Streamer Finds Tutorial After 95 Hours of Playthrough

Back in December 9, 2018, leaked info about Ultimate's DLC characters were posted by a user on Japanese image-board site 5Channel (formerly known as 2chan), where they also mentioned about the inclusion of Joker from P5 into the roster and his stage being Mementos.

No one really cared about it that much in the beginning but when his prediction of Persona 5 R title was officially revealed by Atlus, people started paying attention. He also claimed that P5R will be released on the first half of 2019, which we are yet to find out though.

RELATED: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Add Joker from Persona 5

There was also unconfirmed claim for four new characters joining the roster of SSBU and they are Doomguy of the Doom series, Erdrick from the Dragon Quest series, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and the default player character Steve of Minecraft.

The claim on Dragon Quest's Erdrick received more credibility upon the datamine leak of code that mentions Jack, Brave and Packu. Here, Jack is referred to be Joker and Packu is a nod to Pakkun Flower, Japanese name for pre-order DLC character Piranha Plant from Super Mario.

Now all that left is "Brave", which translates to Yuusha in Japanese, which also stands for hero and Erdrick belongs to the hero class of Dragon Quest. Moreover, the character has a legacy of appearing throughout the series, notably the first three games.

Therefore, he is a worthy representative of the franchise on the crossover arena of Ultimate and the codename "Brave" fits his description very well. Reportedly, Anlucia from Dragon Quest X is to serve as an alternate skin for.

The source also claimed of a game from Square Enix classic series to arrive on Switch that turned out to be Dragon Quest XI. The hint of Ryu from Ninja Gaiden to make it to SSBU can also be a re-release of the game in 2019 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

The arrival of Doomguy may be revealed at E3 2019 to promote the upcoming release of Doom Eternal, also coming to Nintendo Switch. Steve from Minecraft was meant to debut on the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate but shelved as a DLC to promote Minecraft: Dungeons in 2019.

Top 10 Worst Video Games of 2018

While reminiscing about the memory of gaming triumphs of this year, we are also looking back at the top 10 worst video games of 2018.

We saw 2018 started with bunch of good games and were hopeful to see some more to join the parade, which they did. However, there will always be some let downs down the line that will either ruin the day for you or leave a bad taste in your mouth for long.

This year was no different on that term and we got our fair share of terrible titles that can drive players into frenzy after the developers to get their money back. Looking at their over reception from fans and critics, we came up with a list of top 10 worst video games of 2018.

top 10 worst games of 2018
Top 10 Worst Video Games of 2018

Here are the top 10 disaster ride no one asked for in 2018 or turn out to be huge bummer in spite of high expectation.

the quiet man pc ps4 xbox one
1. The Quiet Man

1. The Quiet Man (PC, PlayStation 4)
Although the game comes from renowned developer/publisher Square Enix, it fails to impress players and it is so hurtful because the game was announced back at E3 2018 but turned out to be a disastrous outcome for its poor quality.

A best, the title is an interactive movie which is completely out of place and time, which easily confuses anyone by dragging into a genre that is hard-to-define. The gameplay could have been better but kills the mode with its repetitive nature.

2. Super Seducer (PC)
When you try to come up with a simulator to help men get laid but ended up creating one that awfully objectifies women by trying to implement the art of seducing them. If the low-level production quality is not enough, the bad acting will surely kill the mode for you.

It might accidentally end up helping out some guys in need somehow but at the same time it will infest creepiness and misogyny in their minds. With that much cringe in it, Super Seducer easily made it to the top of this list.

new gundam breaker pc ps4
3. New Gundam Breaker

3. New Gundam Breaker (PC, PlayStation 4)
Seeing Bandai Namco backing this game up, you may think that they are up for another fun-filled mech action bonanza but you would also be very surprised to find out how often you can come out completely wrong and unfortunately, that is what happened with this game.

The game has successfully let down critics and fans alike by not living up to standards of any past game of the series and fails to even generate sparks of interest among players. Die-hard fans of the franchise would probably die down due to lack of a story as well.

metal gear survive pc ps4 xbox one
4. Metal Gear Survive

4. Metal Gear Survive (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Whether or not developer/publisher Konami thought that they can make a Metal Gear game work without having creator Hideo Kojima on board. However, they gave it a shot to learn things the hard way and they know now that they simply can't.

Ditching the good old espionage action, players are now tasked to work on survival by searching for food, water and killing zombies, which is why aspects of Metal Gear Solid V don't even work here. This looks like a badly made modification using their Fox Engine.

fallout 76 pc ps4 xbox one
5. Fallout 76

5. Fallout 76 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
You won't have to look any further to find another E3 disappointment because Bethesda Softworks has it covered with their recent online action role-playing release. The failure started with their B.E.T.A (Break-it Early Test Application) program and continued to follow.

First and foremost, the game is entirely online and there is no single player campaign. When it finally launched full of bugs and glitches, people just lost their minds. They are denied refunds, some special edition owners were even handed with poor quality goods and those are just the tip of the iceberg.

agony video game nintendo switch pc ps4 xbox one
6. Agony

6. Agony (Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
The idea of making a first-person survival horror game where player is actually trapped in hell was innovative but it eventually left everyone in literal agony for spending their precious money and time on it for no good reason at all.

If the non-engaging playing style and similarly worse plotline it offered was not enough to count it as a stinker, the bugs and crashes did the rest. The AI is dumber than you can think of and the use or gory tortures are overused.

fear effect sedna nintendo switch pc ps4 xbox one
7. Fear Effect Sedna

7. Fear Effect Sedna (Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
You think that the third game of the Fear Effect series would be nearly as good as the first two but then again, you can be wrong. In fact, Sedna actually throws everything out of the window to become a train wreck including gameplay and perspective.

If those didn't do much to harm the title, it suffered from lack of straight storytelling and horrible dialogues. The characters are not the ones people loved playing and that was backed up by boring gameplay to make it another Kickstarter disaster.

past cure pc ps4 xbox one
8. Past Cure

8. Past Cure (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
We are quite convinced that developer/publisher Phantom 8 Studio had an intention of creating a genre defining title but somewhere along the line the development efforts end up being less enthusiastic about it and you can tell that by looking at it.

Past Cure started telling a story of two brothers digging into a dark conspiracy where there are scopes for action and stealth to keep you going but they ended up digging their own grave instead for not living up to the starting points.

the inpatient ps4
9. The Inpatient

9. The Inpatient (PlayStation 4)
Even though this psychological horror title comes as a prequel to Until Dawn, developer studio Supermassive Games miserably failed to deliver another breakout hit. They followed the same mechanics of narrative choices but failed to provide an appealing story.

It may seem a bit unfair to expect too much from them but the least they could do was to come up with a decent game if not a better one. The anticipated hype for the game was soon turned into an intensely underwhelming experience because of its consequence-free gameplay.

shaq fu a legend reborn nintendo switch pc ps4 xbox one
10. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn

10. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn (Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Back in the 1994, Shaq-Fu made a name for it using the star power of Shaquille O'Neal but an attempt to cash on that nostalgia today didn't work pretty well and they had to go through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign just to make the project happen.

In terms of reboot, the title switched the genre of fighting game into a beat 'em up. Even after that, Big Deez Productions couldn't just make it into a solid side-scrolling brawler and has no replay value at all despite its hilarious take on its own past to cheer people up. The backers got ripped.

At this point, we are almost certain that you have not heard of many of the above-mentioned titles up until now and we don't blame you. People missed them out because they were never good in the first place and so, nobody cared for them at all.

Amidst all these wrecks, Fallout 76 stands out as one AAA black sheep that could only been just a plain bad game but Bethesda had to escalate things by creating controversies with their refund policy and attitude towards pre-ordering customers made it all blew up on their face.

Dragon Quest 11 Coming to Nintendo Switch

One of the best turn-based JRPG title from Square Enix, Dragon Quest 11 will be coming to Nintendo Switch on 2019.

The latest release from the long-running turn-based Japanese role-playing game series Dragon Quest by developer/publisher Square Enix was Dragon Quest XI, which came out in Japan for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 on July 2017.

September 2018 saw the worldwide release of the game on PC and PS4, garnering mostly positive feedback from critics and fans alike for design and gameplay. Recently at the Jump Festa event this weekend, a Nintendo Switch is announced for 2019.

In its original release for Japan, the title didn't include any voiced characters but when it was brought over to a broader audience, they added English-language voice over alongside a bunch of new gameplay mechanics.

Also, the Switch version will add some aspects that will alter the ending of the game because players will now be allowed to choose their bride and it is not locked to a single marriage choice. Players can also decide to live with two male characters Erik or Hendrik if they want.

More details on Dragon Quest XI S will be revealed later on a Square Enix live-stream in January, when they will also share the official release date for the title. We are currently guessing for a possible release window for April 2019 but nothing is set in the stones yet.

It is still unclear that when there will be a North American release of the game since they haven't given much details of the Japanese release but given that the original game took nearly fourteen months to see a worldwide release, it is not coming for the rest of the world anytime soon.

The teaser revolves around the battle-worn protagonist having flashbacks of past events and battles where he drew his Gunblade against monstrous creatures. Questions regarding the Warrior of Light and Warrior of Darkness still remain unanswered for a later time.

For those who want to re-experience the story of FFXIV all over again will not have to make a new character to do that. A new game plus option will let you revisit main quests and job quests once again to relive the fantastic plot of the game.

The expansion seems promising enough for fans to enjoy long after the release of Stormblood now. Like any other previous update, version 5.0 is about to bring an extensive story, new level cap raise from 70 to 80 and several new jobs.

Players are now free to fight back the evil Garlean Empire as Ala Mhigo and Doma are rescued in Stormblood expansion. Of course there will be new areas to discover, new beast tribes, dungeons and much more.

The Blue Mage job has been a part of the fantasy universe since Final Fantasy V and FFXIV is not going any further from the tradition of the series. However, this will be a limited job that comes with update 4.5, which is long before the release of the expansion.

Instead of learning through level progression, players will learn job actions from monsters through combat. Blue Mage will begin from a level cap of 50 and the release of Shadowbringers will increase the number with new patches.

This job is unique and unlike the other jobs that isn't linked to any class from the game. You might also want to take a look at the reveal, so here it is.

An unknown new playable race has been announced without giving any details but given the dramatic camera zoom focus on Yoshida's t-shirt with a photo of Bugs Bunny on a motorcycle; we believe they are teasing the Viera race of humanoid rabbits from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance to include.

Finally, the game allows you to travel to your friend even if they are playing on a different server. From main cities like Ul’dah, New Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, you can teleport to other worlds. More details on Shadowbringers expansion will follow when they are out.

When Square Enix initially released plans for bringing more content to Final Fantasy XV, fans were convinced that the game will never end considering the title was originally announced back in 2006 before it saw release in 2016, exactly ten years later.

Unfortunately, that certainly is not the case at hand until further development because according to one of their earnings report, this executive decision of cancelling the DLCs resulted in a tremendous amount of loss of around $33 million.
