Elden Ring Player Discovers How to Break Malenia's Waterfowl Dance Attack

In less than a month after release, 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring by developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has sold over 12 million copies worldwide and becomes fastest-selling Souls game in UK.

There are only a handful of brave Tarnished warriors within Lands Between that can even take a stand against the might of Malenia, yet a relentless one has recently discovered a way to thwart her awfully powerful Waterfowl Dance attack.

Malenia, Blade of Miquella is an optional boss character and therefore, not many will choose to face her in combat throughout their play. However, valiant Tarnished fighters would surely seek out an opportunity for a stand-off against her.

To get a workaround to counter her strongest attack, Elden Ring players simply needs to follow a number of steps. You will require Ritual Pots as container, Glintstone Craftman's Cookbook [6] and Rimed Crystal Buds to craft a Freezing Pot.

First of all, head straight to Caria Manor in Liurnia and look for a small room in southeast corner of the gardens to find Glintstone Cookbook. Then visit over to Inner Consecrated Snowfield site of Grace and collect some Rimed Crystal Buds.

This item will spawn near towering white pillars and frequently interacting with them when you pass by lets you pick some. Once you get these ingredients mentioned above and craft Freezing Pot item, maybe you are ready to see Malenia.

Throw a Freezing Pot at her whenever she jumps during battle from a close-up to mid-range as it will immediately bring her back to ground. Your reaction time can be flexible at times but you should stop her before her animation start on.

One more thing players should keep in mind that bosses eventually build tolerance against stuff you use on them. So, after already hitting her twice, you must double up your Freezing Pot fling to interrupt her Waterfowl Dance attack at all.

Reddit user toxicBird7 recently shared a video of breaking Malenia's Waterfowl Dance attack in Elden Ring.

Of course, all of these arrangements don't guarantee a sure victory against Blade of Miquella in battle but it does eases up the challenge. Seasoned veterans are able to take her down without any support and sometime even one-shot her.

Elden Ring players continue to find interesting ways to take down powerful bosses or overcome difficult traps and sharing with community. For now, you can at least face Malenia knowing you break her Waterfowl Dance attack mid-battle.
