Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II May Come to Steam

Earlier last week, developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision took social media handles to tease a first-look at upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, which is set to release later this year on October 28, 2022.

Shortly after reveal, Modern Warfare II Open Beta, Editions and pre-order bonuses were leaked via n-game datamining. Another latest leak on Steam possibly suggests entire Call of Duty series may return to Valve's platform for PC gaming.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II artwork for Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley was spotted across Steam recently, hinting at a long-awaited return to Valve's platform and it was quickly removed after being shared on many social media sites.

A key-art featuring Ghost from Modern Warfare II was discovered by fans lately on a banner at the bottom of DLC page for Call of Duty: Black Ops III that says "explore the full franchise" and it has already been replaced with a blank image.

Reddit user Kalinine shared a screenshot of artwork for Ghost from Modern Warfare II reboot on Steam.

Activision released their last Call of Duty game for Steam in 2017, which was Call of Duty: WWII. Afterwards, every new Call of Duty title on PC became exclusive to Battle.net launcher and fan- community never really agreed with that idea.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sequel brings back fan-favorite Task Force 141 members Captain John Price, Gaz, Ghost and Soap. MWII campaign centers around a war against Columbian drug cartels in a grittier take on 2019's MW reboot.
