In an attempt to kick-start premium game development in coming years, Japanese video game publisher Konami has revealed plans for new installments and remakes of its biggest franchises like Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill.

Days after reputable insiders corroborating on long-awaited Silent Hill reveal by Konami during Tokyo Game Show 2022, multiple images from an alleged Silent Hill 2 Remake has been leaked on social media and are being circulated online.

However, insider AestheticGamer AKA Dusk Golem suggests that newly leaked images originally came from an internal Silent Hill 2 Remake pitch demo and were submitted to Konami by Polish developer Bloober Team before it got greenlit.

Recently leaked low-quality images were a no-budget concept for a Silent Hill 2 Remake and not a reflection of how the final game looks like. You can see protagonist James Sunderland passing through few indoor locations facing an enemy.

Twitter user Andrew Marmo has recently shared newly leaked images of Silent Hill 2 Remake on social media.

According to a report, The Medium developer Bloober Team hinted earlier at working on a very popular horror IP for a major publisher. It was implied that a remake of Silent Hill 2 was being in development for PC and PlayStation 5 console.

Konami has reportedly assigned acclaimed publisher Annapurna Interactive to work on another episodic series of Silent Hill short stories. Original composer Akira Yamaoka also worked on The Medium in 2021 and teased at his next project.
