Going through several delays and lengthy period of development, upcoming action role-playing game Diablo IV from developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment is one of the most-anticipated releases of this year on every major platforms.

Only days ahead of Open Beta test phase of Diablo 4, dev team was interacting with fans about their queries on social media. Addressing some common fan-questions, series lead reveals they have no plans to launch it on Xbox Game Pass.

As franchise general manager, Rod Fergusson took Twitter to clarify that Blizzard is not planning to add Diablo 4 on Game Pass for now. Before moving over to Blizzard, he previously worked on series like Gears of War and Shadow Complex.

Fergusson appreciates people's excitement over Diablo 4 Beta and Wolf Pack puppy just ahead of Early Access weekend. Series fans have long been wondering whether D4 will join Game Pass due to proposed buyout of Activision/Blizzard.

Although currently under investigation by UK regulators due to anti-trust concerns, a successful acquisition of Activision/Blizzard will possibly lead to Microsoft adding most of their existing IPs to Xbox Game Pass library for active members.

Diablo IV arriving on Xbox Game Pass may not happen soon until Activision/Blizzard deal moves forward. However, players can still experience D4 by joining Beta later this week and pre-order a copy to play on Early Access weekend phase.
