Bungie dev team and Valve fixes "Beaver" network errors that plagued Destiny 2 players since launch of Shadowkeep.

Last month, developer/publisher Bungie announced upcoming Year 4 Season 2 content for free-to-play online multiplayer shooter title Destiny 2 and its next major expansion Beyond Light is currently set to release on November 10, 2020.

Ever since Windows PC version of Destiny 2 has moved from Battle.net to Steam last year, players are facing connection errors regularly. Bungie recently took actions to fix these errors codenamed "Beaver" and make D2 more stable.

Bungie has found reasons behind recent network issues that have been causing disruption to all in-game activities. Last week, Destiny dev team alongside Valve has identified hardware issues in data center of certain locations worldwide.

Bungie recently reveals that primary errors have originated from Steam data centers and Valve already did their part. After rolling out a fix, errors on PC are lessened significantly and D2 will become much more stable in near future.

Ever since D2 servers were moved to Steam at launch of Shadowkeep expansion, players were having a hard time connoting to friends. Things get worse sometime and they get kicked off in the middle of activities like Dungeons or Raids.

However, Guardians can still come across "Beaver" errors due to poor internet connection on their end. Otherwise, Destiny 2 players with a better network would only face such problem during ongoing scheduled maintenance period.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light DLC Expansion Delayed

Previous release date for Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion has been delayed because of COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier in June, developer/publisher Bungie revealed plans to add a new trilogy of expansions in Year 4 Season 2 content for free-to-play online multiplayer shooter Destiny 2 to start a new era and first one among them was Beyond Light.

Bungie originally planned to launch Beyond Light DLC expansion on September 22 and reveal more features very soon, which is now been delayed to November 10, 2020 due to working restrictions during ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Even though Bungie is one of the best studios to work remotely under current circumstances, they had to push back next chapter of Destiny 2 by a few more weeks just to meet certain quality standards because of recent challenges.

Beyond Light plans to include new gears, location, missions, raid, weaponry and everything that players expect from its next expansion, which will form the major upcoming D2 story arc alongside its follow-up The Witch Queen and Lightfall.

For a brief time, Destiny 2 is temporarily removing several activities and locations from game while taking away weekly reward cap on raids for rest of the season, allowing players to grind for best exotic loots as long as they are available.

Recent actions of Bungie are disappointing to some fans but are taken for a better future of D2 players in long run. Previous plans for rumored development of Destiny 3 have been scrapped and are replaced with new content update strategy.

Halo 3 Player Beats Game on Legendary Difficulty, Using Guitar Hero Controller

YouTuber ATwearkingYoshi took challenge to beat Halo 3 in "Legendary" difficulty playing with Guitar Hero controller.

Hardcore gamers often try out new and old popular games to complete on highest set difficulty level or for a simple speedrun, to either break records previously set by other players or just to beat their personal best play.

In one such valiant effort, YouTuber ATwearkingYoshi has finally managed to beat full game Halo 3 on hardest difficulty setting Legendary, after dying too many times for months and using nothing but a Guitar Hero controller.

According to leaked source on Reddit, developer Bungie is rumored to be working on Destiny 3 already.

The immense success of online-only multiplayer first-person shooter game Destiny from 2014 has led developer Bungie and publisher Activision to release a full sequel, Destiny 2 in 2017 that become an even bigger score than they ever hoped for.

Although D2 managed to become one of the most successful title of the year over consoles, it came to face some controversy and mixed reception regarding their third major expansion, Forsaken. Nevertheless, Bungie has been reportedly working on Destiny 3 already.

Even though it has been only a year that they came up with the latest sequel to the Destiny franchise, the developers are already on board with what to bring next on the table and looks like more than a few things are going to be changed for good.

Recently, Reddit user AnonTheNine, who has been a pretty reliable source for leaked news on the series, has shared some insights about the upcoming installment from the franchise. According to his claims, Bungie is making the game more hardcore and is going to be RPG-based.

The development is starting right now. Chris Barrett game director. Luke Smith still there in a big role.

Just know that D3 will be even more "hardcore-y" than Forsaken. And finally they're going to push the rpg side of the game.

RELATED: Bungie and Microsoft Considering Destiny 2 Cross-Play

Alongside other stuffs, AnontheNine has also mentioned about Europa to be featured as a playable location, which was first revealed back in 2013 through a concept artwork, even before the original Destiny was released.

He didn't detail about how or why the Guardians are using the force of Darkness but if it comes out as true then it will shift the series lore to a major change. Part of this has been noted in the ending of Destiny 2 and perhaps they are faced with a greater evil that forced the Guardians to ally with Darkness.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Ending Explained

Although Reddit user AnonTheNine has been proven to be a trusted source for leaked insights because of his track record, there is still no official confirmation on the development of Destiny 3 and it would be wise to take the news with a grain of salt.

Also, there may not be an official announcement anytime soon as there was no mention of an esteemed timeline of release. When Destiny went into development phase back in 2010, it didn't come out before 2014, which means D3 is not going to launch before 2020 to 2021 at the very least.

Bungie and Microsoft Considering Destiny 2 Cross-Play

Developer Bungie and Microsoft are interested to add cross-play feature to online-only multiplayer shooter Destiny 2.

Developer studio Bungie has made a name for them with the success of multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny franchise and Destiny 2 has been quite triumphant as well. However, the game is allegedly dying and the company is doing their best to bring their players back. Aside from announcing their third expansion Forsaken, they are considering offering cross-play with D2 and since Microsoft is interested as well, it seems like a good opportunity to play it throughout a wide variety of platforms if not all.

After initially debuting on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game shortly arrived on PC in 2017 only a month after. Players are all drawn into large, futuristic shared world where they play the role of a Guardian of good trying to protect The Last City from an invasion of alien warlord Dominus Ghaul and his Red Legion. Gamers have played the campaign over and over, while participating in many raids and timed community events in multiplayer mode, which is limited to respective platforms.

When asked about the possibility of introducing cross-play to their game, Steve Cotton and Scott Taylor from developer team stated that this is a concept they talk about frequently but currently there is nothing at works regarding this unique feature. Also, there is no chance of having this aspect added to the game before launch of Forsaken DLC. However, it seems that Bungie is very enthusiastic about introducing this feature to D2, we might not have to wait for too long to see it.

Xbox President Mike Ybarra also created a poll on Twitter last month seeking fan response on whether they want to see Destiny 2 get a shared platform gaming experience or not and he got 87 percent of response positive.

Destiny 2 cross-play is a long-cherished fanboy dream that needs to come true as soon as possible and Bungie has been very willing to come on board with that plan. However, things might take an interesting turn considering PlayStation is commonly regarded as the lead console for the series, who adds exclusive content for their platform in each expansion pack and their recent controversies of not willing to offer cross-play on PS4 has already put them in a sticky situation.

Sony faced major backlash regarding account restriction of Fortnite for other consoles and Bethesda has also called them out for not being friendly to make cross-play available on upcoming Fallout 76 game. They seem not to care if they lose players and keep the multiplayer to themselves as they have just sold over 80 million PlayStation 4 units till date. D2: Forsaken will debut on September 4 for all three major platforms and they all would be busy for some time enjoying the new DLC.

Destiny 2 PlayStation 4 Free Weekend

Bungie and Activision offers a free weekend to enjoy full Destiny 2 campaign and Crucible for fans on PS4.

With the sequel of 2014's original multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny, developer Bungie and publisher Activision made a huge buck. Destiny 2 was one of the biggest PC launch for the publisher company and did pretty good on consoles as well. If you have somehow missed out the opportunity to be a Guardian and fight to save The Last City from a new ruthless enemy, then you are in luck because a Free Weekend offer on D2 is just on the horizon for PlayStation 4 owners.

Whereas, games like team-based FPS shooter Overwatch from Blizzard Entertainment or tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft throw out Free Weekend for fans to play trail of their game every other month, Bungie took no part in that sport so far. Maybe a few instance in the beginning, but not for a while afterwards. However, they are offering a trail that lets you play full campaign, where you can fight against the invasion by alien warlord Dominus Ghaul and his Red Legion.

All existing game modes and all the gears are up for grabs throughout the whole weekend for free. Just like always, all of your progress made through the trail can be transferred to the main game if you decide to purchase it later. Even though all those rumors of D2 is dead because of a decaying fan-base and their terrible decisions with DLC distribution are not entirely true, looks like Bungie is trying to revitalize Destiny community for their upcoming Forsaken expansion pack and a slight selling advantages.

Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter from Bungie and Activision, available on all major platforms. Earlier this month, a Free Weekend trail on Xbox One was thrown as well for Xbox Live Gold members from June 7. We are only wondering if they are willing to offer something similar to players on PC anytime soon. Otherwise, it just looks like one-sidedness towards console gamers, while a better chunk of the community might feel left out.

Destiny 2: Forsaken Story Reveal

In one of E3 2018's most shocking moments, it looks like Bungie has your beloved Hunter Vanguard in some real trouble.

Despite Bungie's online-only multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 being one of the two best-selling games on console alongside another Activision title Call of Duty: WWII, it faced some tough times with the release of "Curse of Osiris" and "Warmind" expansion pack DLC. Now that the third one in line has just announced shortly, fans knew that something is up and they will be let down once again. Unfortunately, they are proven right during Sony's E3 2018 press conference.

A cinematic story reveal trailer for upcoming D2: Forsaken DLC is released in the hype of E3 and it immediately saddened all players.

As the trailer opens, we see one of the most beloved Guardians and everyone's favorite hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 badly injured, sitting on his knees and even missing a chunk of his face. He surely is in trouble but isn't trying to run away. His ghost is taken out and then the camera moves around to reveal the return of Prince Uldren Sov holding an Ace of Spades hand cannon to his face. He blasts off the wisecrackin’ Exo on spot and then walks over his body along with his followers.

With that, D2 just killed of one of their most celebrated character from Destiny-verse, which drove players either frustrated or mad over Bungie. In an attempt to bring back players to the game, they decided to raise the stakes more than they ever did. They have introduced the threats of aliens trying to destroy the world before and it worked too but the studio believed taking a fan-favorite personality like Cayde off the board will be so much relatable to players on personal level.

D2 community has been devastated since they witnessed this and the Destiny subreddit is the solid proof of that with the increasing number of goofs and memes in the loving memory of Cayde-6. On September 4, Destiny 2: Forsaken is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We hope that Guardians get their hands on Uldren Sov to get their revenge on their fallen comrade and settle scores then.
