Batman: Court of Owls Game Teased

WB Games Montréal developers are teasing of a possible "Batman: Court of Owls" game being in development.

Some recent evidence suggests that developer WB Games Montréal is currently working on a new Batman game and it is based on the "Court of Owls" storyline. Court of Owls is a new group of villains that was introduced in The New 52 wave of DC Comics in 2011.

Long before, it was a secret organization working in shadows and had some of the most powerful people of Gotham City in their pocket, most of them as its member. Interesting fact is that, they have old ties of history to the Wayne Family as well.

The court is a secret society that employs a group of undead assassins wearing owl masks called Talons to do their dirty work and is responsible for some of the most violent crimes in the city. They became a recurring enemy for The Dark Knight after targeting Bruce Wayne.

Batman was pitted against one of the Talons who severely beat him and tortured to the point where he begged to be killed but then found a way out. When the antagonism between them reaches its peak, they even launched an attack on Wayne Manor.

Based on the recent Tweets from assistant producer of WB Montreal, the studio is currently working on a new title and everyone on board is very excited. She posted a photo of her wearing a black T-shirt with an owl emblem on its back.

The emblem heavily resembles to the one that was used in the Court of Owls comic books and this could be a potential hint to the next Arkham series of games. Perhaps the game will serve as a prequel to the Arkham series and even start a new trilogy as well.

Even though the series is closely associated with Rocksteady Studios, the third game of the series, Batman: Arkham Origins was developed by WB Montreal. So, it would not be a huge tectonic shift of things if the new title goes to WB.

However, you should not have high hopes for any surprise announcement from the studio this week at The Game Awards 2018 and creative director Patrick Redding has already confirmed about that in one of his recent Tweet.

To fuel the speculation a bit more, comic-book writer and the creator of "Court of Owls", Scott Snyder (Death of the Family, Night of the Owls) has recently Retweeted an IGN article speculating over the possibility of the new game.

Since we are not getting a peak at what they are cooking this week at TGA, fans of the Caped Crusader will have to wait a little longer to see him returning into action. Right now, an official announcement can set all records straight for all parties.

The return of silent assassin carries out elements from the previous game of 2016 and then incorporating them with the newest features developed for the game. Not only is the title the most up-to-date in franchise but it also is the best iteration of the protagonist.

Test your assassination skills from hundreds of challenges in three different levels to prep you up for the Silent Assassin rating. Aside from going deep down inside the life of Agent 47, Hitman 2 brings out two new multiplayer modes for players.

The first one among the twp is Sniper Assassin mode, where you go solo or play in online co-op with fellow ICA operatives Stone or Knight, aiming for long-range kill. All you have to do is to take down targets to earn points, unlock challenges and upgrade your rifle.

The second one is a unique 1v1 competitive play called Ghost Mode, where the multiplayer mode pits you in a direct PvP match to get five target kills before your opponent. You will be on two different realities that doesn't affect each other but let you see the progress of your competitor as he moves.

Before we jump into the final notes, we offer you to take a look at the official gameplay launch trailer that briefly showcases what you are getting into.

November 20 marks the arrival of the content and Elusive Target runs for only 14 days and awards you Explosive Pen for completing it, so do not miss it out anyhow. The studio is very proud to bring back Agent 47 to dedicated fans of the series and promises to keep up with players by providing more in future.

Hitman 2 Live-Action Launch Trailer

Hitman 2 official live-action launch trailer brings back Sean Bean as elusive target Mark Faba, "The Undying".

The release of Hitman 2 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as an upcoming rebooted sequel from the stealth video game series Hitman from developer IO Interactive and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive is only a week away, on 13 November 2018.

So far, the game looks impressive and it comes with a lot of improvements to gameplay elements. A trailer is just released to celebrate the launch of the game and with that actor Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Oath) returns to play an in-game character.

Watch the live-action launch trailer for Hitman 2 as Sean Bean narrates the nature of an assassin in his usual charisma.

The role Sean is playing in the game is of an Elusive Target named Mark Faba but he is mostly known to people as "The Undying". In the previous trailer, he came for a therapy session and opened up about his life before shooting down the counselor, revealing him to be an assailant sent to kill him.

He now explains that a true assassin doesn't need a silencer pistol or a hidden blade, instead he should use his head to become the master of his craft. He then shows using a rubber ducky as a detonator and toilet flush as a distraction noise for others.

To be innovative while on work you can take a weird disguise by wearing a huge mascot suit and then use a big fish, boat, a frying pan, a steel pipe or propane tank to hit your target. Electrocuting them is not off the table as well.

As he was closing his statement and takes a sip of his drink, it is implied that he was served by the silent killer protagonist who purposefully spilled poison in the glass previously. He then goes outside blending into the crowd after changing into his work dress.

On a lighter note, the actor opened up with UNILAD Gaming about his experience to become the elusive target Mark Faba in Hitman 2 and you shouldn't miss it.

Considering how every character Sean Bean ever plays always end up dying, his role as "The Undying" is quite a pun here. Because, not only is he going down one way or another, he hinted to bite the dust pretty easily according to what the trailer suggests.

The game is a follow up to Hitman from 2016, which stated to revamp the whole franchise but the lead, Agent 47 remains the same in his role. You can pre-order from the Standard, Silver, Gold or Collector's Edition of the game if you haven't already.

Sean Bean to Star in Hitman 2

Actor Sean Bean is the Undying and it makes him a perfect fit for being an Elusive Target in upcoming Hitman 2.

Upcoming stealth action-adventure game Hitman 2 from developer IO Interactive and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is less than a month away from releasing on November 13, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Videos regarding gameplay and various modes are being dropped every now and then to reveal more about the game to players. One of the most recent revelations came out to be the inclusion of actor Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Oath) in the game as an Elusive Target.

Watch the actor monologue throughout the new live-action trailer as an in-game character that came up on the hit list of Agent 47.

The character Sean plays here is named Mark Faba, who is known as a man of many lives and deaths because of his trait of faking his own death too many times, which eventually earned him the nickname of "The Undying".

Faba is a former MI5 agent who went rogue and become a freelance assassin, who is now a target for the protagonist. He will be visiting the Global Innovation Race event in Miami, to complete his own contract and probably meet his demise there.

A week before the release of the game, the Undying will be added as the first Elusive Target on November 20 available only for a limited time, which is still undisclosed and can be ranging from either 48 hours to a whole week.

Serving as an Elusive Target that would most likely die perfectly resonates with Bean as most of the character he plays on movie or TV ultimately ends up dying and over his three decade long career, we saw him die over and over in different ways, too many times.

This particular news of Sean Bean appearing in the latest Hitman game would make many movie goers and avid fans of television series very happy. On top of that, the whole trailer was a one man show narrated by Sean himself.

However, this is not his first time and those who keep track of all of his works on different media know that Sean has previously worked on video game projects like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

Hitman 2 Ghost Mode Gameplay Reveal

Competitive multiplayer gameplay of Ghost Mode for stealth action-adventure game Hitman 2 is introduced.

Upcoming rebooted title Hitman 2 from renowned stealth video game series by developer IO Interactive and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive is only months away from release on November 13, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

As the game is nearing global launch, new and unique in-game features are being revealed by the developers and the brand-new addition is Ghost Mode, a 1v1 competitive multiplayer mode with new twists in gameplay rules to keep players on the edge of their seats.

A new official trailer is released to better portray gameplay mechanics of Ghost Mode with video demonstration, which you can check out right now.

Ghost Mode puts you and your opponent to go after same targets and execute your kills quickly and smoothly than your competitor. Both of you will start from same point and then will progress onwards on your own to secure kills for points.

The key objective is to earn five points by taking out randomly chosen targets before the other player does. Two assassins will share the same location in separate realities and you can always see everything your opponent is doing as a Ghost version.

As soon as your rival terminates a target, you time window gets shortened to make a kill of your own to balance the score. You shouldn't panic for the ongoing countdown timer on screen and go on a killing spree of non-targets, because that will only blow up your cover and decrease the score.

Instead, try to turn the table on the challenger by taking a first hit on a target before they do. Ghost Mode also demands that you put emphasis on being smart rather than quick as you will start out with limited resources and you have to make the most of it before you find a Ghost Crate with selective items.

There is also a Sniper Assassin game mode in Hitman 2 that will be available from the release for everyone. This is a very first online co-op mode on Hitman franchise where players are to complete sniper mission and pre-ordering the game gets you an early access.

Agent 47 will return once again to take on missions of wiping out high-profile valued targets while hunting for the Shadow Client. In doing so, he will be travelling from Miami to Colombia and beyond. As a follow up to release, there are two planned expansion packs to add more content at a later date as well.

Rocksteady Rumored to Work on Justice League Game

New rumor suggests that Rocksteady Studios may actually be working on a Justice League game instead of Superman.

If you have ever played any one of those action-adventure games from Batman: Arkham series by developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher WB Games, you will probably admit that they have redefined the superhero genre in video games with those titles.

Which is why, people got a little bit excited when news of a new open world Superman game being in development by the same creators was leaked. However, some new rumors now suggest that they were actually working on a Justice League game.

When there was a buzz regarding a new Man of Steel game from Rocksteady, it was a natural flow among fans to be excited, because The Dark Knight received an acclaimed trilogy and some more. It is time for big blue to take the flight over Metropolis.

The latest leak from image-based online bulletin board 4chan suggests inclusion of Gotham, Metropolis, Keystone and a few other cities. The previously revealed poster of Superman fueled the spark only for a job listing for a "highly-anticipated AAA title" to arrive shortly and make everyone go crazy.

Apparently, what they are working on is either titled Justice League: Crisis, Justice League: New Crisis or Justice League: Infinite Crisis. Our best bet is on the first one because the domain justiceleaguecrisis.com is currently registered with Warner Bros.

While we can debate some more on what the title is going to be, the developers are working with all of their efforts to reveal the game on 2019. Even though they are making a Justice League game now, it appears that Rocksteady always had the plan to do this. But how can we be so sure?

In Arkham Knight, there is an episode titled "Batgirl: A Matter of Family" featuring Batgirl that takes place before the events of Arkham Asylum. It has a hidden Easter Egg of the villain Starro, who remains encased in a giant test tube, which cannot be broken.

You can take a look at the video below to check out for yourself how the alien conqueror lays waiting to take over on a later time.

Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Wally West as Flash, Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, Superman and Wonder Woman will most likely be among playable characters. Starro appearing through Easter Egg also means that they will also be in the early years of their careers.

The leak mentioned about releasing frequent DLC content in episodic style and some of the future DLC may end up adding villains like Brainiac or Darkseid. The information mentioned on the job listing regarding next-gen consoles may even hint that it will debut on the new Microsoft and Sony consoles in 2019.

Job Listing Suggests Superman Game in Development?

Recent job postings by Rocksteady Studios drops hint for a long-rumored Superman title as upcoming project.

After a very successful run with their critically-acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, British video game developer Rocksteady Studios didn't come out with any releases for the past few years.

That changed back in May, when a brand-new poster for one of the most popular DC Comics superhero, Superman suddenly showed up on image-based online bulletin board 4chan. The company however, remained silent on the matter but a recent job posting strongly indicates what they are up to.

On their official website, Rocksteady posted a bunch of new job listings this week for animation, arts, audio, dialogue writing and game design departments. Without dropping any major clues that makes everything too obvious, they revealed that the applicants will be working on a "highly-anticipated AAA title".

They are also looking for a community manager, who will also end up doing live gameplay presentations, presumably to announce the developer's next project in-works.

RELATED: New Samurai Shodown Game Revealed

At this point a new game on Dark Knight would not probably excite players that much of a title on Superman, because the former had so many and the latter had next to zero. The leaked poster from May actually made many to believe that an official reveal will eventually take place at E3 2018 but unfortunately, there was nothing.

Last year, Rocksteady game manager Gaz Deaves even stated on Twitter that people are going to "lose their minds" hearing about their next project.

Based on the evidence present to us, if Rocksteady Studios have really decided to move a new flight with Man of Steel then they are probably going to the right direction.

Because, alongside WB Games, they have already proved their worth in making fan-favorite video games on superhero genre by delivering games like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight. It is time that they focus their attempts on a Superman title that truly depicts his heroism.

Hitman 2 Announced

Hitman 2 is confirmed ahead Of E3 2018. New Sniper Assassin co-op game revealed with distinct gameplay experience.

Following WB Games' teasing of soon to be revealed big-game title during E3 2018, a logo of Hitman 2 showed up on their official website. Although it was pretty clear what the logo was for, they still kept on denying for some reason and removed the logo from their site to stop further rumors. By then, the damage has been done and people know about it already. During a special live-stream event, they have revealed the first official trailer for the game, which finally clears out all confusion.

hitman 2 2018
Hitman 2 Announced

Below is the brand-new trailer for Hitman 2, a sequel to 2016's critically acclaimed Hitman game as Agent 47 returns.

The game is not the actual second title from original series but is a direct sequel to 2016's Hitman, which was an episodic game from developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix. Despite having a different play style in previous project, the studio will venture to a new direction this time now that they have teamed up with WB Games. They will release the whole game at once for this one and probably continue the practice as long as they are working together.

However, moving on from fetching story through live content does not mean they are done with DLC releases. With time, post-launch additional downloadable contents will fill in for sure. Also, there are six different locations players get to explore like a racetrack rally or luxurious mansions to take out high value targets. Maps and missions in the sequel will be very detailed in design as the developer stated that, environments and objects plays a crucial part if you can employ them properly.

Hitman 2 is bringing back co-op mode Sniper Assassin to work along with your friends online or completely go solo in a single player to partake in various missions. If you pre-order Standard, Silver, Gold or Collector's edition of the game right now, you can immediately get access to it. Playing this mode in advance is almost playing a demo of the main game at this point and also to point out that this is the very first time a Hitman game in whole franchise features a multiplayer mode.

Watch this second clip of how Sniper Assassin mode will be and take idea of how to improvise your biggest kills on the job.

November 13 marks the release date for Hitman 2 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but you can start your hunt for Shadow Client early from November 9, if you happen to have placed an order for either Gold or Collector's edition. We are guessing more specified details will be dropped at E3 2018 press conference shortly. Shifting in gameplay and in overall will obviously set it apart and possibly will make it successful as well.

Rocksteady Rumored to Announce Superman Game?

Rumor has it that developer Rocksteady Studios is going to announce an Open World Superman game very soon.

Developer Rocksteady Studios were the ones behind the critically-acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, which probably is the best iteration of Batman on video game media. The franchise started with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009 as we saw a perfectly balanced Dark Knight with equal part stealth and some serious butt-kicking action. Recently, a new poster on an image-based online bulletin board 4chan seems to be hinting at an upcoming open world Superman game from the same developer.

rocksteady superman game rumor
Rocksteady Rumored to Announce Superman Game?

Rocksteady went full open world with Arkham City and Arkham Knight after their first attempt of making a decent The Dark Knight game was successful. Just like we experienced all those fan-favorite insane villains from the pages of comic-book coming live in Arkham series, we believe they will do the same justice with everyone's favorite big blue here. It's been a few years that fans are being teased for a Superman game from the same studio but got nothing so far.

We couldn't even get any confirmation on whether or not they have started with any development work at all or is the project got scrapped, which actually happens more time than you think. The idea was also presented that perhaps it has been secretly developed by them to release as a tie-in to some future live-action Superman film but what we didn't have is some solid information. With the emergence of the new poster online, we now have more reasons to be doubtful.

From what we were able to gather from the post was that the developers will officially reveal the game itself a few weeks before E3, which marks the date for June, 2018.

rocksteady superman game concept art
Rumored Rocksteady Superman Game Poster

Other than the poster, we have some brief details on the game that seems promising even though sources are not officially confirmed yet.

  • Made by Rocksteady
  • Unreal Engine 4
  • Big open world Metropolis (about 3 times the size of Arkham Knight with a lot more buildings)
  • Can't play as Clark Kent
  • Main villain is Brainiac
  • Nerfed Superman (TAS Levels)
  • Semi-destructible environments (think AK, no buildings are falling over)
  • Combat system integrates the flying (kind of like DBZ, you can punch someone then zoom towards them and repeat)
  • Set within the Arkhamverse
  • Tons of easter eggs to Superman's lore, and some to the events that took place in the Batman Arkham Franchise

The problem with anonymous sources is that they have no validity no matter how much information they have and that's why they are not reliable at all. The poster from the thread sure looks like a concept art of some sort but it turns out to be an excellent fan-art by artist Charles Logan from his ArtStation account, which he actually posted three years back. According to artist himself, it sure was a concept art for a client’s Superman video game pitch but it was scrapped later.

rocksteady superman game villain brainiac
Brainiac to be Main Villain

This is not the first time a "leak" was claimed by a 4chan post about a game on Man of Steel but one of many. In November 2017, there was another rumor from the same website which claimed a cover story regarding the game will be featured on Game Informer, which was declined by executive editor Andrew Reiner himself. Apparently there was another rumor from three years ago, when this rumor first came out and Logan's art was also from around the same time. So, is there a chance that it was truly for a Superman game? If it is, can it be brought back?
