Blizzard Has Multiple Diablo Projects

Blizzard Entertainment has some exciting news to share about future projects of Diablo they are working on.

Fans of action role-playing games have surely heard of Diablo series from developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment who released the final game six years ago, which was Diablo IIIDiablo III: Rise of the Necromancer came out next as second expansion for the game in 2017 for Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After years of silence about any news on the series, evidence started popping out about new game in development and now it is officially confirmed by the company.

While people were busy making assumptions and spreading rumors, Blizzard was focusing on their projects without making any statements and apparently, they were working on not just one but multiple Diablo projects. This is of course great news for every eager fans and seasoned veterans of the series waiting for a new release to look forward to. Some of these current projects may take a while but by the end of this year, we might be getting some glimpse on the progress probably on Blizzcon.

Hopefully, Diablo IV is in development as an upcoming mainline sequel and chances for Diablo and Diablo II getting remastered edition is also there. We can even get a themed card game like Hearthstone. Considering how popular it still is and features some of the most satisfying boss battles in gaming history, the developers had to bring it back. There was a rumor of Diablo III to release on Nintendo Switch, which was a tease by Blizzard and we still don't have any confirmation on that either.

Although they made no announcement for brand-new installments of the franchise up until this point, a job listing from June revealed that Blizzard was looking for artists to create some environmental, technical and VFX assets, suggesting a possible new Diablo game is in works. So, this revelation does not come as a shock to us at all. Despite having several other original accomplishments like Overwatch, StarCraft and World of Warcraft, Diablo will always be one of Blizzard's signature brands.
