The cinematic begins by focusing on Winston, who is reminiscing their old days while heading over to Paris with Mei and Tracer. They are off to fight a terrorist organization known as Null Sector and all they have is a small crew.

Taking charge of their operation, Winston jumps right in fighting and helping local populace. As he was getting overpowered by their forces, Mei came to his assist and Tracer joins them too but not before a giant omnic came out blasting.

With their ride destroyed and Mei getting injured in an attack, Winston realizes that they can't possibly win. So, he instructs Tracer to get everyone out of harm's way and decides to stay behind, holding the line for as long as possible.

Running for cover, his friends look back to see him trying to make a last stand but is saved by Genji at last minute. Brigitte and Reinhardt came charging in, followed by arrival of heroic omnic Echo and guardian angel Mercy.

Brigitte and Reinhardt work together to display ability to create an interlock shield to deflect a beam from their giant enemy. Winston cooks up something up with cryo-freeze backpack and pulse bomb from his teammates to take it down.

By working together as a team, they managed to put that inside giant omnic unit and shattered it into icy bits. Effectively shutting down a Null Sector invasion, Overwatch team has reformed once again after so long and is back in action.

It was rumored long ago that Blizzard has been working hard on Diablo IV and Overwatch 2. Though everyone expected the former to come out, the latter was somewhat a surprise since it just launched a Nintendo Switch port recently.

Other than Diablo 4 reveal, one of the biggest announcements out of BlizzCon this year was sequel of Overwatch and Kaplan believes it will redefine everything a follow-up installment should stand for with steady stream of new contents.
