Sea of Thieves: Legends of the Sea Update Live Now
Rare Studio is kicking in a new decade for Sea of Thieves with latest free monthly content update Legends of the Sea.
Stepping into a New Year and a decade, developer Rare Studio and publisher Microsoft Studios have things planned for their 2018 action-adventure game Sea of Thieves that starts with a free monthly content update on PC and Xbox One.
Packed with more adventurous exploration and collectible bonus treasures, new Legends of the Sea storied update is going live on all available platforms and for members of Xbox Game Pass as well from today, January 14, 2020.

Bilge Rats' leader Duke is back after long and he has some precious Gilded Voyages for you that will only last for a limited time. Interested pirates can choose only one of them from his list to take part in but it will deliver enough rewards.
Take your earnings to Trading Companies as usual or reap double amount of gold by taking them to excavation site on Reaper's Hideout. Seek out Masked Stranger there and offer your loot to get double rewards, just as Duke promised.

Be on lookout for newly added set of Ashen Tomes simply lying around in the wild and guided by mean Skeleton crews. Take them to Ashen Guardians and Key Masters within in-game world to unlock them and get all five Tomes of Fire.
Of course, Duke didn't return empty handed without bringing newest cosmetics for pirates that includes full Aristocrat Ship set, Corsair Sea Dog and Parrot Clothing options that he is ready to hand you over in exchange for those.

A new legendary NPC named Umbra has resided at Lagoon of Whispers and she has many rumours that you can start tracking right away. Her clues will be found in your Commendation list and they will lead you in places to investigate.
With her help, complete those certain rumours to get exclusive Commendations, Doubloons, Titles and tattoo sets. More riches are waiting in a variant of Reaper's Bounty Chests offering vast wealth, which you can spot from a golden beam.

Jumping in on first week of Legends of the Sea will earn players "X" Marks the Spot emote for free along with matching sails. Be sure to play before January 22 to receive these entitlements until they return back in February update.
Most recently, Sea of Thieves has crossed a staggering 10 million players and became one of the most successful titles of current Xbox generation. Newcomers can easily get started with Maiden Voyage mode for a tutorial-like experience.
