Only weeks ago, Activision announced upcoming first-person shooter game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from developer Treyarch and Raven Software to arrive on November 13, 2020, for both current and next-generation consoles.

Black Ops franchise reboot will bring back signature aspects of its fast-paced combat system and connect players on all platforms. Activision releases a multiplayer gameplay trailer to show various game modes, maps and much more.

Black Ops Cold War multiplayer takes place a few years later following its story campaign but still set in '80s. First sequence kick-starts by introducing newest batch of operatives on various dangerous missions throughout entire world.

To take part in deniable operations, Black Ops travels across Angolan desert, Miami, Moscow, North Atlantic and Uzbekistan. You will go after a prototype nuclear submarine, fight Spetsnaz forces or secure a crashed Satellite in Africa.

CIA operatives and MI6 Squadron of NATO will be lured to South Beach of Miami while looking for whereabouts of Perseus, battle his hired DGI forces and sent to secure cash site of a top-secret American satellite for very sensitive intel.

Treyarch crafts these map locations by photo-scanning every possible environments, materials and any objects they could find. Artists and designers within dev team then extensively worked on providing visual fidelity, in true 4K experience.

Multiplayer modes sees return of usual variations of Domination, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy and Team Deathmatch. Black Ops Cold War will include new additions like Combined Arms, Fireteam and VIP Escort game modes.

In a 6v6 objective based game mode VIP Escort, a random player would be a VIP that each team either tries to defend or take out. VIPs must be protected by other teammates and anyone who dies doing so will not return until next round.

Combined Arms game type include infantry and vehicular gameplay for two team of 12 players each, for a larger-scale action. Black Ops multiplayer mode Fireteam invites you to a 40-player match where up to 10 quad teams can join.

CoD: Black Ops Cold War reinvents signature combat gameplay by tweaking key-aspects to new heights. Players are allowed to customize their primary weapon with up to 54 attachments with configuration details via Gunsmith system.

Scorestreaks gets an overhaul and offers player a chance to get streak bonuses by keeping their earned scores even in death. There is a cooldown period to prevent spamming as well as measures to counter Scorestreaks abuses.

In trailer prologue section, an operator seems to be wandering inside of an underground lab in dark while panting. He points his gun down to see a crowd of undead and turns to see one of them already lunging at him out of nowhere.

Call of Duty series has a reputable record for incorporating Zombies mode into online gameplay and multiplayer centered on undead terror that is set in 1980's Cold War era could be a very interesting prospect to explore for everyone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release later this year on PC via Battle.net, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Following release of next-gen consoles on holiday season, an enhanced version will be out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
