Earlier last month, Nintendo Direct E3 2021 episode announces a number of highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch titles for 2021 like Metroid Dread, Shin Megami Tensei V and No More Heroes III, while many are currently in development.

A recent leak on social media is hinting at a new 2D Donkey Kong title and some remakes from Legend of Zelda series that are now in works, along with updates on few ongoing projects that fans are waiting for long to release on Switch.

Nintendo has been awfully silent regarding their fan-favorite, banana enthusiast gorilla for past few years for unknown reasons. Their latest series release was 2014's platformer Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U consoles.

Players have last seen him in Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars the following year and there is a high possibility of Nintendo making a major announcements to celebrate 40th anniversary milestone of Donkey Kong franchise in 2021.

Alleged insider markomaro reveals a series of leaks on Twitter that includes rumors of Switch remakes of 3D Legend of Zelda titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker, ready to be released anytime now.

Nintendo is also reportedly developing remakes of 2001's The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons for Switch. These classic Game Boy Color games are now being remade to release at a point between 2022 or 2023.

Nintendo leaker markomaro has posed a long-thread on Twitter teasing a bunch of upcoming Switch releases.

Other than Zelda games, Twitter user markomaro has also talked about a new 2D Donkey Kong platformer under development right now, which was previously rumored to release on Holiday season this year but got delayed to next year.

There are reports of long-awaited Bayonetta 3 currently being on final stage and a trailer may be shown in September. Pikmin 4 has restarted development around 2016-2017 and Splatoon 3 may be arriving sometime early next summer.

Metroid Prime 4 is around 65% complete now and a remake of Paper Mario is being overlooked by Fire Emblem developer Intelligent Systems. Moreover, new entries from Kirby, Pokémon and Rhythm Paradise are coming to Switch as well.

Although somewhat believable, none of markomaro's claim are not yet officially confirmed or denied by Nintendo and therefore, these highlights should be taken with a grain of salt unless until they are eventually proven to be accurate.
