Fimbulwinter has started already and dynamic father-son duo travels through all nine realms to look for some answers. Meanwhile, Asgardian forces readies for a long-prophesied apocalyptic series of events that brings about world's end.
|An Unwritten Future|
A grown up Atreus is eager to learn his role as "Loki" during Ragnarök while Kratos fears for his son to repeat his mistakes. As they head to an unwritten future, both of them struggle to move through Norse wilds and facing its challenges.
During their quest, Kratos and Atreus will face-off adversaries like several Norse gods and many mythical monsters. These two will wield Blades of Chaos, Guardian Shield, Leviathan Axe as well as powerful new abilities to tackle all enemies.

Ragnarök focuses a lot on exploration to expand upon God of War (2018) narrative and lets you visit all nine realms now. Kratos can use his blades to pick up objects to throw at his enemies or as a grappling hook to traverse over breaches.
Thor, Norse God of Thunder eventually confronts Kratos and seeks revenge for his past actions. Former ally-turned-enemy Freya is also trying to hunt them down for same reason but Allfather Odin however, has a different plan for Atreus.
