Doom Eternal Delayed to March 2020

Hell on Earth will be unleashed later than expected as Doom Eternal has now been delayed to March 2020.

It was officially revealed during E3 2019 live event that upcoming first-person shooter Doom Eternal is going to come out on November 22, 2019 for Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Today came an announcement from developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks that states that the game has been delayed to March 20, 2020 as it needs more time to live up to certain standards and being polished.

Alongside this message came another shocker, which is Invasion Mode that lets player enter someone else's game as a demon will not be available at lunch but would be rolled out via a free update shortly after its release.

Serving as a follow-up sequel to 2016 reboot of Doom, players will return to Earth as Doom Slayer after his adventures on Mars only to find it in ruins and immediately jumps in tearing demon armies up from Hell to save humanity.

According to new release date, Doom Eternal will come out alongside highly anticipated Switch title Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Finally, classic Doom 64 is coming to all major platforms as a pre-order bonus, also releasing on same day of 2020.

Doom Eternal Release Date

Prepare to raze Hell as Doom Slayer is returning in Doom Eternal to slay army of demons on this November.

Last year at E3 2018, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks announced upcoming first-person shooter Doom Eternal for Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but an official release date was missing.

Today at E3 2019 live event, developers have confirmed that Doom Slayer will make his anticipated return to take our planet back by decimating all invading forces of Hell on November 22, 2019 with a brand-new story trailer.

A demonic invasion has ravaged Earth and legendary Doomguy starts cleansing the planet by slicing off a demon head with Chainsaw. Wearing his iconic Praetor Suit, he ruthlessly tears through hordes of Hell and beyond.

Combat mechanics has significantly evolved over years with new weapons adding more raw firepower. Your arsenal is now upgraded with a Plasma Gun and a Meathook is attached to your Super Shotgun for grappling demons out of your reach.

Other than serving as punching bags or gory piñata, enemy demons are often a great source of item drops. Slice them in half to refill ammo, burn them using your shoulder-mounted Flame Belch to get armor and go for a brutal Glory Kill to replenish health bar.

Doomguy can smash through enemy barrage and walls or even dash enemies in midair to crush them. You can see a hulking demon at one point that resembles a lot like the Cyberdemon from 1993 Doom and Doom II due to series reboot in 2016.

B3 2019 also gave a glimpse to an all-new multiplayer "Battlemode" game with PvP components for Doom Eternal.

RELATED: Doom Eternal, RAGE 2 and Wolfenstein Comes to Steam

Originally hinted last year, id Software has come up with this new multiplayer experience where players will control two demons to go up against another controlling a skillful Slayer for a versus mode fight for best-of-five round.

Developers are aiming for more action for Doom Eternal than ever in its known franchise and Bethesda E3 2019 event was just a slight tease of what to come next when it finally launches later this year to unleash Hell on Earth.

Quake 2 Getting Free RTX Support

Nvidia is working with id Software to introduce real-time ray tracing to renowned FPS title Quake II for free.

There was a time when first-person shooter game franchise Quake was a huge deal and one of the biggest milestones by developer id Software after Doom and proceed to get a series of sequels over time including Quake Champions.

A sequel to original, Quake II has recently been selected by tech giant Nvidia to get real-time ray tracing support all of a sudden in association with its developers, which makes this two decades old FPS becomes more stunning than ever.

Titled as Quake II RTX, this update will arrive for Linux and PC for free on June 6, featuring first three levels. Owning a copy of the game will allow you access to enjoy its full campaign and multiplayer mode with remastered update.

According to Nvidia, players would require a GeForce RTX 2060 or higher performance graphics card to play Quake II RTX on their system. They are also giving away source code for players to use them on many existing mods or even improve it.

RELATED: Call of Duty 2020 Will Be Black Ops 5

These days, ray tracing technology is the next big thing that is revolutionizing video game industry as we witnessed major AAA-games like Battlefield V and Shadow of the Tomb Raider unleashing its true power with next gen GPU.

On their latest generation of graphics cards, Nvidia is adding a feature called RTX that lets you experience high resolution objects from a scene in details. However, it would need for one to have a high-end PC to run many of these games with RTX support.

For seasoned veterans of Quake series, this is almost a coming-of-age experience and even for any newcomers, it is a pretty decent FPS experience. Though what they made improvements to are mostly reflections and shadows elements and not gameplay.

Nvidia choosing such an old classic like Quake II for remastering with free RTX support only shows how much capable they really are with this tech. It also provides them a window to experiment with many other older titles in future.

One of his primary combat moves is a ground-pound attack called Slam, which is capable of delivering devastating damage to enemy as it is performed from height. Aim from a higher surface to drop it on 'em for maximum impact and leave them as paste.

Another powerful attack move is known as Shatter, where Walker throws away his foes off his face in situations where he is overpowered by a herd or just simply makes their heads explode using a smashing kinetic blast.

Barrier is used to put up a portable shield to block incoming projectiles while killing anything that touches it and Vortex drags a bunch of your enemies into one place. A well-timed combo of this two will result in a slaughter of a small group.

RAGE 2 Release Date

New trailer of RAGE 2 revealed at Game Awards 2018 showcases the open-world wasteland that players will enter on May, 2019.

Initially the reveal of upcoming first-person shooter title RAGE 2 was sort of fun filled with the leak from Walmart listing and then the reveal video getting leaked out but the kind of hype came with it kind of died down after the showcase at E3 2018.

Now that they are wrapped up launch of Just Cause 4 for Square Enix, developer Avalanche Studios and publisher Bethesda Softworks has released a new gameplay trailer for a game that was long abandoned for years, at The Game Awards 2018.

You'd thing that a post-asteroid world would be less crowded but gangs of adrenaline junkies and mutants will prove you wrong. Although a sequel to 2010 release Rage, you will have hard time comparing the tones even though the time has shifted a lot within the game.

Another thing that can have you baffled is that where on Earth did these scumbags found all those fancy convoys and guns? Have you seen them in action already? The middle-sized cars that you see around can tear through decent barricades.

Factions like Immortal Shrouded and the Goon Squad patrolling the areas will open up opportunities for you to engage in some spectacular vehicular combat. Have we also mentioned about the boomerang weapon called the Wingstick? It is super-awesome!

With a massive open-world map that allows you to go anywhere and blow stuff up, all the game lacks at this point is probably a co-op play. And you know what the best part is? There are no load times now! So, go crazy and blow something up!

Bethesda is having a pretty hard time these days following the unsuccessful release of their online action role-playing game Fallout 76 and the PR disasters they are facing for the title on a daily basis. Hopefully, Avalanche Studios can help them redeem themselves from this shipwreck.

RAGE 2 Extended Gameplay Demo

To show-off more action from RAGE 2, Bethesda released an extended gameplay demo at QuakeCon 2018.

Before the game could get officially announced by publisher Bethesda Softworks at E3 2018 press conference, news of upcoming first-person shooter RAGE 2 was leaked by a product listing of Walmart Canada a few weeks ago. What followed next was some funny banter thrown at them by Bethesda’s Pete Hines and new gameplay trailer from E3 revealed that it clearly steps ahead of its predecessor. To offer more details, an extended playthrough clip of the game is released today.

While playing, you will come across members of savage goon squad, elite bandits' group and a clan of mutants, all of which are equipped with unique gear and destructive firepower to cause havoc on a larger scale. These fractions are situated in different part of the map and will fight you differently in their own way.

We noticed that the sequel is set apart from many elements of the original game, probably because it received some backlash then. However, the world we will return to is still pretty violent and everything is way too vibrant colors. Vehicle and weapons play a great deal whether in facing unwary enemies or engaging into crazy boss fights. Combat system is made more fluid and fast paced as an improvement to Rage. In fact, the game takes inspiration for aggression from Wolfenstein II.

RAGE 2 is developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software, which currently is set to release on spring 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. One thing that has blessed the game so much is the collaboration of two studios, where Avalanche Studios used their skills in building a vast open-world and id Software provided their experience with immensely popular FPS titles like Doom. We can already tell that this action-packed game with a Mad Max-esque theme would turn out great.

It's definitely Earth and demons from Hell has taken over and running rampant. We see a skull belonging to Baron of Hell, which is crushed by Doomguy only to face a horde of demons while he loads a double-barreled shotgun.

Back in April, Pete Hines of Bethesda cryptically hinted that Doom 2 may be announced at E3 2018 during an event at PAX East, so this doesn't come as a surprise to us. Reboot of Doom in 2016 was a re-imagining of the original game and most probably, the sequel will follow the second one, Doom II: Hell on Earth. Although there is no mention of "Hell on Earth" anywhere in upcoming sequel's title, the entire settings of demons reigning on Earth seem pretty reminiscent of that phrase.

RELATED: Doom's Nintendo Switch Release Date

Doom Eternal is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but we don't have a release date in hand right now. Even though we haven't seen any new enemies yet, that cool shotgun is a hint that there will be new weapons. A gameplay live-stream will be held on August 10 during QuakeCon 2018 and we can certainly hope to get more details on the story as well as gameplay for sure. If they can keep up to the expectation of players and maintain excellence, the sequel could also be a critical and commercial success.

RAGE 2 Official Gameplay Trailer

The official gameplay trailer for first-person shooter Rage 2 from Bethesda showing off intense apocalyptic mayhem.

We had a lot going on at this point with upcoming first-person shooter RAGE 2 from id Software and Bethesda Softworks. First there was a Walmart listing which leaked that the game is in development, then the announcement trailer got leaked online and they eventually released it after taking down the leaked one. The first live-action trailer didn't give away much except for the type of tone the game will adapt and announced that they will drop a gameplay reveal trailer today!

Just as they said yesterday, the official gameplay trailer is finally here. If you expected it to be intense and feral, then you guessed it right.

RELATED: RAGE 2 Confirmed by Leaked Teaser

With this trailer, we are back on the wasteland but not quite the one from the first game but something that looks similar to Mad Max. The protagonist is the last remaining Ranger named Walker and not U.S. Marine Nicholas Raine this time. Into the vastness of empty desert and concrete jungle, you will go through hordes of uncivilized goons to reach your primary goal of ensuring the downfall of The Authority. Since your character has been robbed off everything he owned, he shouldn't have any problem to follow that agenda.

RELATED: Wolfenstein II Nintendo Switch Release Date

Although it was solely a gameplay trailer, we got a good chunk of back-story as well, which is mostly vague and typical for such type of game. They really have made the gameplay better this time as you can see in the clip above. Whether it is some mohawk sporting skinny punks or hulking mutant enemies, shooting at them mercilessly is sure looks fun. The visuals are improved as well as a bigger open world is for players to roam through. On top of these, there is that damn pink color almost everywhere!

Currently, action shooter RAGE 2 is planning to release on 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The original RAGE came out in 2011 and after six long years, developer id Software is bringing the franchise back along with Avalanche Studios. Bethesda probably have had plans to release these trailer to E3 2018 or at least not just now but thanks to all these recent leaks, the publisher have had enough and straight out dropped it out of the box.

RAGE 2 Officially Announced

It was only last week, when a Walmart’s listing leak lead to the news that sequel to 2011's first-person shooter from id Software and Bethesda Softworks is actually happening. Instead of shooting down the idea, they playfully trolled back at Walmart Canada by offering notes to improve design efforts on their placeholder listings. Then they started posting teaser image that clearly said RAGE 2 is coming until the reveal trailer got leaked as well just before the official release and now we are here.

The live-action cinematic trailer showcases a newly revamped world of RAGE 2 without hinting any clue about the game's plot.

The trailer looks like a hybrid clone made out of Mad Max: Fury Road movie and Borderlands game. Of course it officially confirms that we sure are getting a sequel to RAGE but at this point there was very little to not know about that. At first thanks to that Walmart listing, then Bethesda decides to be a sport by teasing for a few days on social media and then the leaked clip has done it all. Still, the official clip is a bit longer than the one which was leaked earlier but later taken down from YouTube.

If not all but many fans who waited for official confirmation for this project may have expected what they just saw, because a couple of punk-ass dancing and jumping around with big-guns amidst a confusing, pink atmosphere doesn't remind them of anything from the first game of the series. Since RAGE was developed to showcase their new game engine, perhaps the developer and publisher agreed upon going for a soft-reboot approach with this one like they did with Doom, Prey and Wolfenstein II.

If they are truly aiming for a revamp as the changes suggest, it may even turn out to be successful considering their previous track record. E3 2018 is due for next month and we already halfway through May, 2018, so by then we can definitely wait for a full-length trailer to delve deeper into the game's plot maybe! In the trailer's closing card, they mentioned that a gameplay reveal will take place tomorrow, May 15.

RAGE 2 Confirmed by Leaked Teaser

Earlier before the release of official teaser trailer for first-person shooter RAGE 2, Bethesda suffered another leak on the internet.

Back in 2011, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks came up with a first-person shooter RAGE, which was set on a post-apocalyptic world like the one we saw in Mad Max. The game was very well received by both fans and critics, so it would be pretty natural if fans want a sequel of the game after six years, right? For the past few days, we witnessed a number of leaks from Walmart listings, their publisher has been hinting about it and now a teaser for RAGE 2 is leaked.

People already got interested when a leaked Walmart listing has showed RAGE 2 as an upcoming release. Bethesda neither denied, nor confirmed about the authenticity of the news but decided to troll Walmart Canada with the official Twitter account of the game. Although, they have been teasing everyone by dropping images from the game for some time now and even subtly revealed the date for teaser trailer, it eventually got leaked on the internet somehow before they could officially release it.

The version that was uploaded to YouTube has since been taken down for obvious reasons but Twitter user @Wario64 managed to make an animated GIF version of the clip posted along with his Tweet. Looks like the wasteland is into the color pink now as every other maniacal punk is either coloring their hair pink or spraying it everywhere. We still not sure why! Hope to find it out very soon. Other than that, it was a mad, mad world already on the original title and sequel should be more than that.

So far, we do not know yet that what platforms are it going to be available for or when is it due for release, clearly because all these leaks are a bit disturbing. No story or anything that seems like a gameplay was also absent from the video as it was meant to just tease us and the publisher is going to drop an official announcement later today anyway. So, we will not have to wait too long for finding out more.

Doom 2 May Be Announced at E3 2018

The gates of Hell are probably going to open on Mars soon again as publisher Bethesda Softworks has teased us so. We are talking about one of the best first-person shooter games ever made and expecting an announcement for a sequel to 2016's Doom from the newly rebooted franchise. If we got the indication right according to a studio executive from Bethesda, then Doom 2 will be announced at E3 2018. In that case, we should be prepared to deal with hell demons on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Back in 1993, Doom introduced us to the madness of first-person shooter games and took players on a roller costar ride to Hell and beyond. After the original, a sequel, Doom II followed next year and Doom 3 came out a decade later. We even received a live-action Doom movie featuring Hollywood superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Baywatch, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). However, that one failed miserably and entire series took a reboot with 2016's Doom game, which reinvented the franchise.

Lately, Pete Hines, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Bethesda Softworks was present in an event at PAX East and in an interview he was asked what they are planning for the latter half of 2018. In response, he said:

“I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited."
Though he did not mention the word "Doom" or "Sequel" a single time but fans of the series may have already realized what went down there. For those who are still trying to figure out what was in Hines’ comments, we suggest you to focus on his mention of "Hell on Earth". The actual sequel of the first game was titled "Doom II: Hell on Earth", which place on Earth as demons from Hell have laid an invasion. That brings our hero Doomguy back in action to save our planet as well as mankind.

Originally debuted on MS-DOS, Hell on Earth was an overall improvement on everything its predecessor was and became a best-selling title upon release. If Bethesda is actually teasing that title and can do things right like they did on reboot of Doom in 2016, we are waiting for another potential critical and commercial success ahead of time. Right now, Bethesda is probably prioritizing this one because E3 2018 is nearing. Besides, they also announced Wolfenstein II and The Evil Within 2 at last year's E3.
