Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Release Window and Story Revealed

Over a year ago, developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive revealed a first-look at upcoming action-adventure game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, arriving soon on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

At today's annual DC FanDome digital showcase event, Rocksteady unveils a full-length trailer for highly-anticipated Suicide Squad game across social media platforms, featuring members of Task Force X struggling against Justice League.

DC FanDome 2021 event premiers a brand-new cinematic footage for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

In first official trailer for Suicide Squad, an evil Superman displays his ruthless nature by killing off an unknown pilot in front of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark in Metropolis as they witness it in utter disbelief.

Newest story trailer expands onto their mission to confront a seemingly evil Justice League and shows Squad members fighting them. Apparently, all of them have been brainwashed and are now being controlled by super-villain Brainiac.

Suicide Squad director Amanda Waller sends her team of misfits to put a stop to their rampage and bring them down for good. Superman gets accompanied by a mind-controlled Flash, Green Lantern and Amazon warrior Wonder Woman.

Suicide Squad: KTJL is set in Batman: Arkham universe and dev team has yet to confirm whether Batman will be part of JL. There is only a very brief glimpse at Batmobile, which could possibly be a member of Bat-Family returning in action.

An early report of The Penguin making an appearance in Suicide Squad game is proven accurate and villains like Lex Luthor may show up too. For some unknown reason, dev team has skipped on showing Aquaman and Martian Manhunter.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to release for PC and current generation of consoles in 2022. Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. have yet to reveal a long-awaited four player co-operative gameplay very soon ahead of launch.
