Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Multiple Endings

Cyberpunk 2077 quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirms to feature multiple endings for the game.

Following recent appearance at Xbox E3 2019 press conference event, official release date for upcoming highly anticipated role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is revealed to be 16 April, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

It is also confirmed by quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz in a recent interview with YouTuber YongYea that developer/publisher CD Projekt Red will be adding multiple endings for their ambitious story-driven RPG, all depending on player choice.

According to Tomaszkiewicz, there is more than one way to end the story for your character based on what path a player would choose during their campaign but he also didn't say that how many ending scenarios they are planning to go for.

For instance, V can opt out from using any cybernetic augmentations or even refrain from killing literally anyone. Exploring in futuristic megalopolis Night City will open up many pleasant or messy situations to you but how you handle it is up to you.

Specialized in RPG development, CDPR has included three major endings for their The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt title of 2015. Following a branching narrative, it offered several other minor endings driven by in-game decisions made by player.

Given how they are aiming to go big with their next project, sci-fi adventure Cyberpunk 2077 may came out offering more endings than you expected. CDPR is strongly considering a Photo Mode but there is no official confirmation on that just yet.

Despite being at crosshairs with media for their apparent portrayal of race and gender, CD Projekt Red has won E3 2019 with a surprise reveal of actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) playing a main character named Johnny Silverhand.

Other than major console platforms like PS4 and Xbox One, PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available at Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam. A collector's edition is currently up for pre-order that is worth $249.99 featuring digital and physical items.

This year, developer/publisher CD Projekt Red came to E3 2019 with a brand-new trailer and a release date that received a grand reveal by none other than actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) himself came to stage to present it.

As usual, player character V arrives on a crime-ridden area of Night City megalopolis for a payday after finishing a job. His contractor asks if he got what he asked for and upon confirmation, tells him to go to washroom to wash off.

While washing off blood from his hands, V recounts how he went on a big-time job earlier with Jackie Welles to get insane rich and though they somehow got the job done, his friend caught up in ensuing shootout from rival gang.

As soon as he got out, V is slammed with the door and he tries to retaliate with pointy extension of his augmented arms to no avail. His fixer, Dexter DeShawn is mad at him that they caused too much chaos and they all draw their gun on each other.

He discovers himself in a junkyard outside of megacity and is rebooted by a stranger with a likeness of John Wick star. He invites V by saying "Wake the fuck up, samurai. We have a city to burn", which is a nod to the name printed on the collar of his jacket.

Reeves's role here is obviously of a non-playable character but he is not just a random nobody here. He is playing Johnny Silverhand, an iconic character created by Mike Pondsmith for original Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop game.

You can even see him having a shiny cybernetic silver arm when he removes his shades but this is quite different than his actual look. Bringing Silverhand into the mix is an attempt from CD Projekt Red to connect the game to its lore.

Also, a detailed look at digital and physical goodies from an unboxed collector's edition has been unveiled in another video.

A Collector's Edition worth $249.99 is up for pre-order now, which includes an artbook, box, embroidered patches, metal pin set, NCPD evidence bag, quadra V-tech metal keychain, V-figure and digital items like original soundtrack.

Sci-fi adventure Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red currently scheduled to release on April 16, 2020. PC version of the game will be available on Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam as developers chose not to make it an Epic Store-exclusive.

GOG includes unofficial expansion pack Hellfire for action RPG game Diablo as free update for owners of base game.

Back in March, developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment partnered up with CD Projekt's digital distribution platform GOG.com for digitally selling PC version of their massively popular action role-playing game Diablo from 1996.

Fast forward to June 2019, GOG is offering its customers an expansion pack, Hellfire as a free add-on for anyone who already purchased a copy. It was developed by Synergistic Software in 1997 but never carried Blizzard's seal of approval.

Even though an unofficial expansion, Hellfire still appealed to players of this fan-favorite hack and slash classic title. It was re-released later in 1998 that came out in a bundle with original dungeon crawler and titled Diablo + Hellfire.

Hellfire explores a distinct single-player campaign in a non-canonical setting, which would send player back to Tristram to face off a demon named Na-Krul. For very first time, it included a Monk class, aside from new dungeons, items and weapons.

Original Diablo Arrives on GOG

Original Blizzard classic action RPG game Diablo becomes available to digitally purchase on GOG.

Although developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment delivered dungeon crawler action RPG title Diablo III for Nintendo Switch, fans were not very happy when they announced the next game from the series, Diablo Immortal for mobiles only at BlizzCon 2018.

Dedicated fans were very unhappy with this direction studio chose to follow and faced heavy backlash. However, they would be glad knowing that PC version of original action based hack and slash game Diablo is now available digitally.

According to an official announcement found on Diablo III homepage, Blizzard partnered up with digital distribution platform by CD Projekt, GOG to sell copies of the game online in its original glory for the price of $9.99 only.

Players can also choose to pick up their copy from Battle.net store but this one will definitely be different from the one offered at GOG. While the former is completely unchanged as it was during launch, latter one is an enhanced version.

Also, better audio, resolution and screen refresh rates are a perks to GOG store along with other bug fixes. In case if you are looking for a dosage of nostalgia vibe out of the title, there is option for switch back to 20 FPS graphics too.

Though bringing the game to digital platform and made available to purchase for all doesn't make everything right but at least, this is a start towards a right direction and maybe someday soon we will also see the sequel, Diablo II arriving on online outlets as well.

Telltale Games Removed From Steam

Telltale Games is in the process of shutting down as titles like Back to the Future and The Walking Dead are being removed from Steam.

Back in September, developer/publisher studio Telltale Games officially declared that they are officially going out of business after firing off majority of their stuff and retaining a small team of only 25 employees to finish the pending projects.

As of now, several of their renowned titles like episodic adventure series Back to the Future: The Game, Jurassic Park: The Game, Monkey Island and Telltale's The Walking Dead are removed from Valve's digital storefront Steam and not available for sale anymore.

Even though delisted from Steam, those who already own the game can download from library and play them if they want. Besides, they are still present on other platforms like GOG, PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace.

Another distribution platform Humble Bundle is still selling The Walking Dead: Season One, The Walking Dead: Season Two, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier and The Walking Dead: Michonne spin-off from the survival horror graphic adventure franchise.

Although the entirety of series is taken out from Steam, The Walking Dead: The Final Season is not off the racks yet. In October, the studio made a deal with series creator Robert Kirkman (Haunt, Invincible) and his company Skybound Entertainment to complete Clementine's story on a deserving note.

Other popular franchise like Batman: The Telltale Series, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series and Tales from the Borderlands are still up there. It is visibly quite apparent that the entire Telltale catalog will be removed soon.

Telltale Games is currently looking for parties to gain enough money for their assets through assignment proceedings in association with Sherwood Partners, so that they could pay any creditors before completely shutting down.

The studio is currently in a situation similar to bankruptcy and they were by sued by a former employee. A class-action lawsuit was filed against the company in the federal court of San Francisco for violating labor laws of California.

Alan Wake is Back on Steam

Alan Wake has returned to online storefronts after resolving big licensing issue that forced the game to suspend sales.

Developer Remedy Entertainment’s critically acclaimed action-adventure title Alan Wake from 2010 has become a topic of discussion long after the announcement of a live-action TV series based on the game was made back in last month.

Earlier the game was removed from all available online marketplaces because of a licensing issue and after an absence for more than a year now, it is back again on popular digital storefronts like GOG.com, Humble Store and Steam.

In May 2017, the developers faced a problem with the usage of licensed music rights that needed renegotiating and until they could, the game couldn't be on sale. So, before taking the game down, they offered a 90% discount for the title on Steam.

It was really an unfortunate event for the psycho-thriller adventure from Remedy; however they never had to take down the standalone spin-off game Alan Wake's American Nightmare from the digital shelf because of those music rights again.

In a recent Tweet, Remedy Entertainment has confirmed the news and thanked their publisher Microsoft Studios to reach out for solving this problem.

If you have never played this atmospheric adventure-horror title before or even missed that super-sale a year ago, then you should give it a try now that it is back and on top of that, Alan Wake is heavily discounted again for the occasion of Halloween.

While the original game is currently on sale for only $1.40 on Steam, you can also own the Collector's Edition for the best price of $1.64 only before November 1. If you are looking for the Xbox 360 version, then it would be a bummer to tell you that the game is still not available on Xbox Marketplace yet.

The King of Fighters 2002 Free on GOG

From the arcade days, fighting game genre has always been redefined with each new release of The King of Fighters series. The series has a tradition of revolving around great sagas as the tournament is arranged every year. The only exception from the chain is The King of Fighters '98 and The King of Fighters 2002, which is basically a "dream match" with the ensemble characters from the previous installments of the series. Good news for the fan is that The King of Fighters 2002 is free on GOG.com now.

Popular digital distribution platform GOG is widely known for giving discounts on game purchase and sometime they are generous enough to giveaway free games. On that note, GOG is offering a limited-time free download of the game and the offer remains till 9 AM ET, 15 February. This is a fine opportunity for The King of Fighters series enthusiasts to jump into action without paying any bucks upfront.

However, this quick grab Valentine’s Day/Chinese New Year gift to claim within less than 48 hours is the PC version of the game and it has a few setbacks according to the user reviews. Apparently, the control system for the game is locked and by that we mean, not only you cannot map your keys but controllers are not supported too. There are also issues with the game regarding limited display options, which is really a bummer.

After a few release with the 4-on-4 "Striker Match" format, The King of Fighters 2002 brought the classic three-on-three fighting system back again by ditching that formula. The game was dropped on arcade systems back in 2002 from Eolith and Playmore as the ninth title of the series. Considering all the issues people are complaining about, you can go and grab the new SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy instead.
