MediEvil PS4 Announcement Trailer

The unlikely hero of Gallowmere returns this Halloween with the first trailer for MediEvil remake on PS4.

When the initial announcement was made for classic action-adventure hack and slash game MediEvil to come back as a remake at last year at PlayStation Experience, it just blown away the fans of the series and made many '90s kids excited as hell.

After two long decade, SIE Worldwide Studios is bringing the game back to PlayStation 4 with lot of memories. The official PS4 announce trailer for MediEvil has picked the night of Halloween 2018 and they couldn't have chosen any better time than this.

Before we talk spookier, let's take a quick look at the first footage of MediEvil and see what's in store for us.

Though the game was originally pitched as a remaster project but then we noticed most recently that the description has been changed to a full remake and boy, you can tell by the trailer footage that how much work they have put in to rebuild the whole thing.

The graphics of the game is completely reworked in terms of animations, character design, movements and surrounding areas. What once was a collective mess of polygonal shapes running around has come out as freshly carved out living pieces.

For those who don't know, MediEvil follows the story of Sir Daniel Fortesque or better known as Sir Dan, who was a champion of his people but unfortunately he died quickly in a battle against evil wizard named Zarok, who went into hiding afterwards.

When Zarok resurfaced a century later to take over the kingdom of Gallowmere with his resurrected army of undeads, he unwittingly revives Dan as well. Now, reduced to a skeletal corpse, Sir Dan takes the chance at redemption by opposing the evil sorcerer.

The formula of re-releasing of classic titles from fan-favorite series like Crash Bandicoot as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, collecting the first three games has met with immense success and prompt Spyro the Dragon to be branded as Spyro Reignited Trilogy, currently in bound for PS4 and Xbox One on November 13.

We are pretty sure that this remake will do great upon release and hopefully the developers and publishers will be convinced enough to do the same treatment with its sequel, MediEvil 2 up next if they haven't thought of it already.

Sony Announced PlayStation Classic

Adding a lineup of 20 classic games from 90's, Sony is bringing a miniaturized throwback as PlayStation Classic.

The pioneer to Sony's modern day console PlayStation 4, the original PlayStation was released on 1994 by Sony Computer Entertainment as a home console, which then successfully sold 100 million units worldwide.

At the comfort of their own home, people were offered to play games with 3D rendered graphics real-time and everyone just loved that idea. After nearly 25 years later, they have decided to bring back that original experience in a miniaturized version as PlayStation Classic!

Apparently, like the huge success of Nintendo SNES Classic have Sony following their footsteps and reintroducing their original console to market. Since they are making real smart moves almost every time when they launch something whether it's a new game or a next gen console, it is wise to at least learn from them.

Microsoft has made a revolutionary move by making popular games from Xbox 360 backward compatible for Xbox One. So, Sony might have thought of go after the step Nintendo took in this case.

We would like to add that when it finally comes out December 3, 2018, there will be 20 pre-loaded PlayStation classic games in it to start with such as Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms to take you back to nostalgia lane.

Also, while they reduced the size of the console to 45% less of what it used to be, Sony kept everything else entirely the same to keep up the old vibes. Even the games on the platform will be as in their original format.

Capcom Teasing Resident Evil 3 Remake?

Following a positive response for Resident Evil 2 Remake at E3, Capcom might be teasing for a Resident Evil 3 Remake!

It took three more years to come up with a trailer for Resident Evil 2 Remake project for developer/publisher company Capcom after it was initially announced back in 2015. The response upon dropping the trailer for RE2 during E3 2018 press conference was overwhelming, which almost guarantees for it being successful in advance. Keeping that in mind, is there a chance that they would be interested for a Resident Evil 3 Remake? Well, there is no reason they shouldn't anytime soon.

According to a new Tweet from official Twitter account of Resident Evil games on Friday the 13th of this July, fans are theorizing that maybe there is a recent plan of making a remake for the third game from a survival horror classic trilogy.

RELATED: Resident Evil 2 Remake E3 Gameplay Demo

Originally Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was meant to be a spin-off game and Capcom wanted to make Resident Evil – Code: Veronica to be the third title in the series. They planned to feature legendary mercenary of Umbrella; HUNK in the lead role and pit him in a cruise ship against hordes of human/plant hybrid bio-weapons. However, the company moved to a new decision of completing a trilogy by making RE3 set in the doomed Raccoon City and Jill Valentine to be the main hero.

Bringing a fan-favorite character like Jill actually helped players relate to the Raccoon City zombie outbreak more that started from Spencer Mansion. She is on a constant run from a monstrous yet intelligent Tyrant known as Nemesis deployed by Umbrella Corporation, who is after S.T.A.R.S. members and at several point, he chases players from one place to another like a nightmare. Despite RE3 not being that popular as its predecessor; Nemesis becomes one of the most iconic villains of the series.

Considering how Capcom entirely revamped one of their best titles, fans are hoping Resident Evil 3 would get the same makeover as a remake project. Although the Tweet has re-ignited of the most cherished dreams Resident Evil fans, it doesn't have much to go with the idea. However, it is also possible that they are subtly dropping hints and checking out reactions of players to get on-board with this project. Whatever they eventually ended up doing, we don't mind a Nemesis reboot at all.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Comes Before 2023

Among its entire role-playing series of games, Final Fantasy VII is undoubtedly one of the most fan-favorite titles. A high-definition remake of the game for PlayStation 4 was in talks for a while from E3 2015 but then everyone went silent on it. We do have an important update on that but just not the one that will probably make you happy. Square Enix has recently confirmed a date of release, which is before the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy series and that date is year 2023.

During Final Fantasy 30th anniversary exhibition in Japan, Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshinori Kitase and Naoki Hamaguchi, three significant people related to Final Fantasy series were present in a panel there. The audio translated from their conversation reveals about 2023 but it also isn't a final set date. At least, people now know that before when they cannot get it anyhow. We also learned that Biggs and Wedge will have a different redesigned look that you saw them in early trailers.

Years before the official announcement of the remake in 2015, many gamers have been expecting an enhanced edition for some time. After releasing on 1997, it has sold over million copies worldwide and still has a solid fan base dedicated to the franchise. When it came out, it had a great impact on players as they achieved a tectonic shift in game making and its whole franchise by replacing two-dimensional sprites with 3D polygons and it was such a revolutionary step back then.

Now waiting for Final Fantasy 35th anniversary may seem quite a stretch but we know that Square Enix do not hurry with any of their titles, especially when it is as iconic as the one we are talking about. They do know how eagerly fans are waiting for the game to get their hands on; so they are only taking time to make sure that everything is in right order. We believe, fans can wait at least this long. Originally released on PlayStation console, Final Fantasy VII has later debuted on Android, iOS and PC.

PlayStation Network is Facing Issues! Again!

Players around the world are facing issues on the PlayStation Network again for the third time within the last three days. We are not saying that people are going for an outrage here but services that are linked to gaming and social media are “experiencing issues” as per the status page of PlayStation Network. They are working on the case to resolve it as soon as possible and patience from the fans will be much appreciated.

If the problem was regarding PlayStation Video, PlayStation Now or any other services, then the players would've normally ignored it for the time being. Since, the issue was messing with the online features of the gaming and social, people couldn't help it but getting a little concerned here. Most of the gamers were forced to play offline because of the problem as they couldn't connect to the online services of PSN.

PlayStation’s Twitter handle for helping with issues @AskPlayStation also tweeted on how to access to the PlayStation Network for those who are still trying.

The service page for PlayStation Network did acknowledge this and quickly acted towards a solution for it. The problems arose nearing this Friday noon, the very day when two major titles were about to be released; Dragon Ball FighterZ and Monster Hunter: World. Many were also expressing concerns when they weren't being able to play the newly arrived Monster Hunter: World on PlayStation 4 but then it was revealed that the game was having same trouble on Xbox One as well.

Most of the games, applications and online features were having issues launching during the disruption period. Different countries and regions also experienced the downed services and PSN reached out to them all with their status announcement on site and Twitter. This means, it was a widespread PSN issue and not just some minor interruption on limited area. Hopefully, the service page of PlayStation Network will post an update as soon as they fix the issue for good.
