Little Nightmares 2 Gameplay Trailer

Bandai Namco unveils a gameplay trailer for Little Nightmares II at Gamescom 2020, which is set to arrive next year.

Announced during Gamescom 2019, developer Tarsier Studios and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has remained silent about upcoming indie puzzle-platformer horror adventure game Little Nightmares II for a year now.

Today during Opening Night Live event of Gamescom 2020, a newly released gameplay trailer shows off all-new frightening dreams Tarsier Studios was working on for some time and reveals a release date set for February 11, 2021.

LNII brings in a young kid wearing a brown paper bag on his head named Mono and he meets Six upon her escape from Maw. Together these two attempts to find a way through locations of Pale City to eventually reach Black Tower.

Nightmares 2 improve upon scary elements of its acclaimed predecessor and doubles down on stuff of horror. You see two protagonists trying to run from creepy dolls, hidden traps, severed hands and various monsters in shadows.

There are moments when they come across a room full of human effigies and a number of mannequin hands trying to catch them. A pursuing Hunter, wielding a shotgun almost catches Mono and Six passing through in the dark.

Little Nightmares 2 is seeking to deliver a spine-chilling adventure that fans have been waiting for a while. By the end of trailer, Six gets chased around by a Slender Man-like figure wearing a top hat, who is most likely to be Thin Man.

Bandai Namco already confirmed that Mono is new playable character in Little Nightmares sequel and Six will be controlled by AI since they both serves as essential parts of gameplay mechanics and premise of LNII narrative.

Little Nightmares II will be launching first on Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms early next year, followed by a next-gen release window set for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles later in 2021.
