Reedus said in a recent interview, "I think we're doing a second Death Stranding. (The game) is in negotiations right now. So . . . Yay!", cheering to journalists present at the roundtable for The Walking Dead Season 11 on August 20, 2021.

Earlier this year, Norman Reedus revealed to be in talks for another project with Hideo Kojima in a video interview with Wired. He also discussed working on some Death Stranding stuff with Kojima, which could either be a DLC or sequel.

Death Stranding was originally launched for PlayStation 4 in November 2019 and for PC on July 2020. According to a report by Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment in July, it has sold over 5 million copies globally till date.
