MultiVersus Season 1 Delayed Indefinitely

Having a soft launch with Open Beta test last month, free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus by developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment planned to release Season 1 content on August 9, 2022.

Players who were looking forward to join upcoming MultiVersus Season 1 for a while may feel a bit disappointed as Player First Games have announced to delay it indefinitely along with Morty Smith from Rick and Morty animated TV series.

Originally scheduled to kick-off next week, Season 1of MultiVersus and new playable character Morty Smith has now been delayed. Dev team didn't reveal an estimated new date or why they are postponing their first Season unexpectedly.

However, they assured all players that new content is still on its way and has promised to reveal Season 1 very soon. WB Games also promised to include his grandfather Rick Sanchez during its first season and accidentally teased him earlier.

MultiVersus official account on Twitter announces delaying Season 1 and Morty Smith launch to a later date.

A recent leak suggests MultiVersus will be adding Marvin the Martian, Nubia and Raven in near future. Some reports claim that all references to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings character Gandalf was removed lately due to legal issues.

MultiVersus enjoyed a successful soft launch with ongoing Open Beta and plans to debut lots of new characters in coming months. Season 1 Battle Pass will have around 50 tiers of content and costs about 950 Gleamium, roughly $9.99 only.
