Only few months back, Japanese developer/publisher Konami officially revealed their plans for some of their upcoming projects in Silent Hill Transmission livestream event including Silent Hill: Ascension, Silent Hill 2 Remake and few more.

Ahead of scheduled showcase, Silent Hill: The Short Message was rated by South Korean rating board but Konami never revealed it. However, a second rating has been spotted for PlayStation 5 console on Taiwanese rating board recently.

Shortly after being discovered, newly listed rating was updated with an official artwork as well as a short description. Silent Hill: The Short Message was never announced by Konami and thus, its existence is a big mystery for all series fans.

Fans are speculating "Short Message" to be a P.T.-esque demo and therefore, not announcing about it during a showcase makes sense. Konami entirely skipping its existence earlier made a lot of fans think that it was probably scrapped.

Taiwanese rating board has updated listing for Silent Hill: The Short Message with a description that reads:

Anita came to an abandoned apartment in order to meet her friend Maya, and somehow woke up to find herself trapped in it. She must escape her own fears and the monsters lurking in the corridors, discover the truth behind the events she's trapped in, and try to escape before her own trauma consumes her will to survive.

Taiwanese board also added an age rating, confirming its arrival on PS5 and no other platforms until now. Industry insider AestheticGamer claims that Short Message is actually Project Sakura, a game that leaked earlier and is set in Britain.

Silent Hill: The Short Message listing also reveals that it is currently being developed by Konami instead of a third-party studio. Its apparent PS5-exclusivity could be due to some links with SH2 Remake or maybe just another deal with Sony.
